Beto O’Rourke Out of the Presidential Race

While running to try to unseat Senator Ted Cruz, Beto O’Rourke received a healthy amount of support from the liberal elite. This support came from Hollywood, the media, major donors, etc. What did the left want?
They wanted to defeat a Republican Senator in the short run. They wanted to defeat President Trump in the long run. O’Rourke was the candidate that they were hoping would accomplish that objective.
O’Rourke, on the other hand, must have felt that it was about him. So, despite losing his senate bid, he tried his luck again. This time, in a bid to get the Democratic nomination for president. Shortly after that, reality hit him head-on like a brick wall.
The left was just using him when he ran against Senator Cruz. During his bid for the nomination, he was up against more favored liberals.

The timing of the announcement stunned O’Rourke’s supporters and local staff, many of whom had risen before dawn to place campaign signs throughout the city. An adviser said O’Rourke had finalized his decision by early Thursday, when a small clutch of aides were first informed.
A campaign adviser said O’Rourke will not run for Senate next year, despite persistent prodding. Leaving the gathering, O’Rourke declined to answer several questions about his departure from the race. But he said he will do “whatever I can for this country, no longer as a candidate, but with my fellow Americans.”
The announcement came as candidates gathered here for events over the weekend. Supporters and staffers waiting for O’Rourke at a pre-dinner rally saw the occasion turn into a wake.
“This is not what I thought would happen here tonight,” said one supporter to another, as a light drizzle fell.
Many Democrats also support the second amendment. Whoever advised him to embrace the anti-gun argument that he actually embraced gave him some bad advice.

There’s an even bigger upside to this: No one, even among the Democrats, actually expected Beto to win, but the Dems in Texas had high hopes for him to take a higher office in Texas, like senator or governor. But now that in his desperate bid to remain relevant in the presidential campaign, he revealed his true attitude about confiscating guns, he’s likely dead forever in Texas. Even Hispanics in heavily Democrat El Paso like their firearms so he may have doomed his fate even there.
Beto may become one of the extremely few people migrating from Texas to California.
Poe I’m sure that there are a lot of Texicans that will help that mofo pack his bags.
I’m certain that the vast majority of Texans PERIOD would love to help him pack his shit and emigrate to the PRoCA with the promise that he stays there for life!

I’ve heard that around 37% of NRA members are Democrats. Notice I didn’t type in demoRats.
I have no idea how in the hell any dem that belongs to the NRA or believes in the Right to Life can rationalize the hypocrisy inherent in those positions.
People can rationalize shitty behavior all they want, that doesn’t mean that the behavior is right or even close to being right. A perfect example is the families of the thugs that we talk about here after they have gone to the great ghetto in the sky.
Their families can actually rationalize the behavior that they were, for the most part, partially responsible for with their family interactions and attitudes.
They actually blame the people that were protecting their lives over the top of the loser kid that they raised….
And THAT my friends is how the Nazi’s kidnapped an entire segment of the population of the world and were instrumental in the deaths of over 80 million people…
Not to defend Dems in any way, but eventually you have to look at which party to support and pick which is the least offensive. Some folks’ hot button issue(s) are addressed best by one party, but perhaps subordinate issues best by the other. Personally I grit my teeth and normally vote Republican, despite that I disagree with many of their tenets. I know folks who vote Democrat the same way. I sometimes think it would an interesting idea to vote on ISSUES rather than candidates. You believe in a) no abortion b) only to save the mother or baby’s life c) only up the end of the first trimester? etc. Maybe that would break the two party system… but the concept would force voters to pay attention and educate themselves, which won’t happen.
In concert with his history of moral integrity, I’m sure all campaign donations will be returned in a timely manner.
Yeah. Right.
