The adult male murderers of a 9-year-old boy on Chicago’s South Side have received their sentences.
CHICAGO — A jury on Friday convicted a man who prosecutors said plotted, then tried to cover up, the 2015 slaying of a 9-year-old boy who was lured into a Chicago alley with the promise of a juice box.
Corey Morgan was found guilty Friday of first-degree murder of Tyshawn Lee. The verdict came after a separate jury convicted Morgan’s co-defendant, Dwright Boone-Doty, on Thursday and after a third man, Kevin Edwards, pleaded guilty last month in exchange for a 25-year prison sentence.

After just a few hours of deliberation late Thursday night, a Cook County jury found a man guilty of first degree murder of Tyshawn Lee, a 9-year-old boy who was shot and killed in one of Chicago’s most horrific crimes.
Jurors found Dwright Boone-Doty guilty of murder in the first degree for shooting the boy in the head after promising to buy him a treat. Boone-Doty led the boy into an alley and executed him in a gang hit that shocked the nation for its brutality.
Boone-Doty and another man, Corey Morgan, were tried before separate juries. Morgan’s jury was still deliberating as of Thursday night.
A third man involved in the murder, Kevin Edwards, has already pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in exchange for a 25-year prison sentence.

The sad truth of the matter is that as heinous as this crime was, given the “parents” the young victim had, if these scum that killed him had waited 5 years, the chances are overwhelming that he would have been, instead of a 9 y/o child, just another scum thug gang-banger like the ones that killed him.It is highly doubtful that given the environment he was being raised in, and the “role models” he had that he would have turned out to be a productive citizen.
Until society addresses the power of these gang, and this generational criminality, this sort of thing will become more the norm than an outlier..
Someone had commented on an earlier post (WOT maybe?) about Satan using the husk of a miscreants body as a condom.
I nominate these two for that duty and I hope that Satan uses one to screw the other, and then switches them out. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I remember this well. I was in Chicago at the time for work and it was for the boys father killing someone in rival game.

The boys (Bubba, Julio, Thor, Gunner, and Mr. ‘Tiny’ Tyrone) are gonna have hell of a time passing all three of your sorry asses around the cell block. Nothing disgusts me more than those who willingly harm children (even worse when it is done with no remorse). Reminds me of a Forensic Files episode that I once watched where a man from Washington state murdered his 11-year old son before putting the boy’s body into a trash can and dumping him in a snow bank on the side of the road for the life insurance money on his son all the while committing arson by burning his own house (while trying to make it look like the boy had done it) and all this because he was fired from his job for embezzlement because he was living well beyond his means and spending too much money. Nothing has ever left me more speechless nor more furious than that episode (To bad the useless bastard committed suicide by hanging before his trial. He took the coward’s way out instead of facing his crimes and taking the punishment like a man, probably because he knew he did not have a leg to stand on no matter what and that he was not going to be popular when he got to prison with neither the other inmates, the warden, or the guards.).
I suspect they will be featured guests at the prison tryouts for cellblock “wide receiver” positions.

None of these trash may get a life prison sentence from the courts, but you can rest assured, you WILL die in prison.
