B52 Practice Bombing Run

Wise Guy Returns
This one is for ChipNASA, because he seemed to be in need of something to keep his priorities aligned with the stars. I believe this practice run takes place near Guam, although I’m not sure that Guam hasn’t tipped over just yet.
Enjoy the show. Nice to see my tax dollars at work.

Thanks dearest. I think it’s just because some of us are getting a little “stiffy”, because this is more anticipated action than TAH has seen in quite a while, and some other folks are getting “itchy”, for the same reason.
Thanks to you guys and gals behind the scenes doing the leg work.
The rest of us are standing by.
Had to make you happy somehow, ChipNASA. You were indeed getting a bit twitchy. I thought it would give you some relief.
The “Mighty Mo of the air”. Jees!!! I’d loved to have flown that beast.
Got a cousin, first year Academy, wants to fly the 52.
“GO FOR IT BEN”!!!
And here’s a little more air-power Viagra for you A-10 fans.
Groovy, man! I do dig that airplane!
Another love too young for me. It’s interesting to stand off the side of the range when a Gatling gun torches off a burst. There are two reports of muzzle blast, but the first is really the shock waves of the projos.
As a Marine, we always used Army DRMO as a point of supply as opposed to a place to get rid of stuff because their refuse was often better than our new stuff.
When the USAF puts A-10s finally to pasture out at Davis-Montham I wonder if the Marines could sneak some out for our own use.
Those are so awesome! I got to call one in at Fort Bragg on time – too cool. That noise just gives you chills.
FREEDOM BONER!!!
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!
Thanks, MiLady. I needed that.
My pleasure!
Guam finally capsized. I read it on the internet.
Boomer, the source, mostly, of Boomer’s Sunday, will be very sad to hear this.
Seems he lives there.
What’s THE worst number to call in either an Afghan or Iraqi Bingo Game?
B-52!!!
A-10 or B-2 can also bring some serious grief to those Bingo players.
Operation Linebacker III in the works?
More fun than crop dusting and you get air conditioning.
My brother was an artilleryman at a place called Firebase 6 in the Central Highlands (IIRC).
He told me the most impressive thing he saw was the B-52s bombing the shit out of the area. Pretty sure it was Cambodia since he was there in 1970 when Nixon sent us in there.
He told me the ground shook. Awesome!
Carpet bombing, I would guess. Rolling Thunder ended 1968, but the bombing went on.
I experienced an ARCLIGHT from a few clicks away in my garrison hooch. The impression was that the concrete floor jumped out from under me.
Freedom dispensed!!!
Not bad for a ol’ bird.
It’s big, it’s beautiful, and it has EIGHT ENGINES! Love that old bomb truck.
Was that an “100th ARW” on that tanker boom? Aren’t they based in England?
Also, do the newer electronics diminish the re-sale value of the B-52 on the collectors’ market? If they were re-stored to factory condition, would they bring more?
