tactical pen
Have a couple of these- breeze through TSA’s invasion of privacy, and they have a cool handcuff key that unscrews from the top. It also writes well, with a Parker ballpoint ink cartridge. The tungsten steel point is also handy for slamming yourself in the forehead during those gawd awful Metrics Meetings. Other uses for self-defense should be pretty obvious.

Driver in failed home invasion arrested, charged with murder
A Canton couple told police they awakened to being pistol-whipped and then the homeowner grabbed his own gun and killed one of the would-be robbers.

By Lori Steineck
CANTON A second person has been arrested in the early morning home invasion robbery-gone-awry that left one of the suspected robbers dead.

Joi T. Griffith, 28, was booked into the Stark County Jail Monday afternoon on charges of murder, aggravated burglary and obstructing justice, according to a news release from the Canton Police Department. Police say she was living in Canton, but Stark County court records show she has a Wooster address.

Police believe she drove Nicholas A. Hug, 24, of 1815 Trinity Pl. NW, and another unidentified man to a home in the 2600 block of Second Street NW about 2 a.m. Monday.

A northwest Canton couple inside awoke about 2 a.m. Monday to two masked men pistol-whipping them in a home-invasion robbery attempt — until the homeowner pulled the trigger of his own gun multiple times. Police say the homeowner fatally shot Hug at which time the other as-yet-unidentified robber ran from the home.

Court records show detectives believe Griffith then drove Hug to an area hospital where was pronounced dead.

Police Capt. Dave Davis said officers nabbed her at the hospital and took her back to police headquarters for questioning as other officers continued searching for the other robber, who remained at large.

NOPD: Would-be carjacking victim shoots armed robber
Police say a man was shot twice Friday night by the man he was attempting to carjack in New Orleans East.

Author: Sean Brennan
NEW ORLEANS — One second, a gun is in his face and a man is demanding he give up his car.

The next second, a would-be victim of yet another carjacking in New Orleans takes a chance. He reaches for his own gun, turns and puts two rounds into the attempted robber. Bleeding, the unknown suspect runs off in the night.

That’s what New Orleans Police Department officials say happened on Friday around 9:15 p.m. in New Orleans East, at the 7600 block of Forum Boulevard near Paris Road.

Instead of becoming the latest vehicle robbery of the hundreds under investigation in the Crescent City this year, initial NOPD reports show the attempt was foiled after the suspect was shot by the man he was attempting to steal from.

According to those NOPD reports, a 35-year-old man was sitting in his car when an unidentified man approached him, gun-in-hand, and told him get out — instead of complying, though, the driver grabbed a gun in his possession and shot the suspect.

The police were called to the scene and an investigation into the armed robbery with a gun was opened. The unidentified robber was still at large as of Saturday night.

Woman shot while breaking car windows in West Pullman: police
The 23-year-old was breaking out car windows when someone fired at her in the 12000 block of South LaSalle Street, police said.

By Luke Wilusz
A woman was shot while allegedly breaking car windows Monday in West Pullman on the Far South Side.

The 23-year-old was breaking out car windows shortly before 7:15 a.m. when someone fired at her in the 12000 block of South LaSalle Street, according to Chicago police.

Officers arrived at the scene after receiving ShotSpotter alert and found her with a gunshot wound to the upper left leg, police said. She was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she was stabilized.

A gray vehicle was seen leaving the area around the time of the shooting, but no suspect description is available, according to police, who said the woman is not cooperating with investigators.

Area South detectives are investigating.

Today, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, we have one mort, two inconvenienced, and two in the wind. The mini-trifecta is nice, but be careful out there.

A gun saved my life. That’s why I won’t let my Second Amendment right be taken away from me.

“Other uses for self-defense should be pretty obvious”

That nose cone looks eerily similar to an RPG.

USMC Steve

What brand of pen is that thing up top? I am intrigued.

“Police say a man was shot twice Friday night by the man he was attempting to carjack in New Orleans East.”

In Louisiana deadly force is legal when preventing immediate death or serious bodily injury in one’s home, vehicle or place of work. This comprehensive Castle Doctrine interpretation should be the law of the land, from sea to shining sea.

Kudos to the carjacking victim who managed to put a couple rounds into the perp.

Thunderstixx

Hopefully he crawled into his beddie bye under the bridge and they won’t find his smelly body until sometime in 2030…..

You can find those self defense pens at Cabela’s, not at Dick’s, but at some Walmarts at Academy’s and any gun show.
You can also find them on eBay for about $10.00.
Been selling them for years.
I carry one with me every day. The ones with the point can be used for breaking windows as long as the point is in steel.
If it’s an aluminium point if you don’t break it on the first swing it’s useless as the point bends.
So check to make sure it’s a steel point with a magnet of some kind.
The good ones have a steel or titanium point but are made of aluminium to keep it light.

I do like that a good Samaritan shot the vandal in Chicago .
It’s a completely unjustified shoot to wound someone who is only committing non-deadly force vandalism.
I am so glad the shooter got away because he performed a public good that reinforces my sense of justice

No more Joi for ol’ hug.

NOLA; crawl off and bleed out mofo!

WTF the lady was arrested at the hospital, what the heck did she hang around for after dropping the DB off.
Hit the guy twice and he still was able to run off, HMMM, need more night practice in the dark at the range.
Breaking car windows, must be that bad form of PMS (permanent mental state), maybe the shot she got will correct her mind.
Oh goody El Chapo is getting to reside in Super Max in Colorado, by now his coharts will have blueprints of it, cell location, as well as guards names and addresses and all the info they need to get him out like they did in Mexico. Family visitation, say what, you mean they will allow his partners in crime across the border to visit him. Oh well I’d say probably max about 5 years and there will be some thing happen there from outside help. His resources have already probably been put to use. I have little trust in a lot of things and him staying in prison is one of them. Some one might ck Ms p’s coffers for large donations.
