Fayetteville man arrested after shooting home invasion suspect

By Gilbert Baez
A Fayetteville man was being held Friday at the Cumberland County jail after he shot and wounded a man who he claims barged into his house earlier this week during a home invasion that went awry.

Mack Jones appeared in District Court Friday as Judge David Hasty read the charge filed against him.

Jones is accused of shooting into an occupied vehicle outside his house on Ryan Street. He was being held Friday on a $100,000 bond.

Mika Lowe, the suspect’s fiancée, said the family was eating dinner at home Thursday night before getting ready to light fireworks.

She said a stranger, now identified as Michael France, 37, barged through their front door, demanding they return his belongings.

“He came straight into the door, and the dog was barking,” Lowe said. “I don’t know what stuff he was talking about. We never seen this guy a day in our life. We pushed him out the door.”

France retreated to his car, followed by Lowe and Jones.

Lowe says she saw France reaching for a gun in his car, but investigators won’t confirm that.

Chesterfield family fends off naked intruder who claimed to be the devil

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A Chesterfield family spoke with 8News Friday after fending off a naked intruder who broke into their home on South Twilight Lane the night before. The intruder claimed to be the devil and attacked the family, prompting the homeowner to fire 39 rounds.

The incident was a traumatic experience for the Lewis family’s first night in their brand new home.

“She was in to kill us,” Melissa Lewis said. “That was her almighty, to kill us. She attacked us and I held her down just kept on punching her and punching her as hard as I possibly could.”

The Lewis’ dream home now looks like a war zone, with blood soaked into the carpet, the walls and windows riddled with bullets and shell casings scattered all over.

“I said ‘who are you?” Lewis’ husband, who did not wish to go on camera, explained. “She said ‘I need your help, please help me.’ I said ‘get out of my house,’ and she goes ‘I’m the devil.’”

None of the shots struck the suspect.

Sheriff: Boyle County homeowner holds theft suspect at gunpoint before deputies arrive
By WKYT News Staff

DANVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) – A Boyle County homeowner is being credited with stopping a thief in his tracks early Friday morning by holding him at gunpoint.

The Boyle County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to a home before 4 a.m. when a homeowner on Nield Road reported there was a thief on his property.

The homeowners told a deputy they were awakened when their gate intercom rang, and they later discovered a vehicle was missing. One of the homeowners went outside and saw two of his vehicles sitting near the road, and both were previously parked closer to the home.

The suspect, identified as Gary Lynn Ryan II, was still in one of the vehicles, and the homeowner held him at gunpoint until law enforcement arrived. The sheriff’s office says the homeowner was “rightfully and lawfully armed.”

A poor man’s trifecta, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. Zero morts, three inconvenienced either in medical or behind bars, and none in the wind. Mr. Lewis needs to rethink his position on firearms ownership and get some professional training.

I’m not up for changing the Tenth Amendment or the Fourteenth Amendment, the First Amendment or the Second Amendment. Andrew Breitbart

“The devil made me do it!” She had a blue haired pony tail but where was her blue dress? And the homeowner fired 39 rounds and didn’t hit nothing?

And not a good idea to shoot at someone in a car, unless they are shooting or attempting to assault you with the car.

Repetition from the Texas war spilling into the FGS? Ky story in the replay mode?

Nice hand cannon and knife in top pic! Personal stock? Nice ready for action Coastie type in bottom pic. Huba Huba!

“ready for action Coastie”

Nah. That’s the new look for a Maine Lobsterman.
Intentional sinkings are up.

Some of the shit they do to each other for a few dollars worth of sea roaches just makes me shake my head.

Yeah, I know. Have long time friends out of Rockland up to Islesboro and some of the fueds rival anything the gang bangers do. Cut trap lines will bring out the rage.
Once got tangled in a trap bouy while fishing for Mackrel at the mouth of the Penobscot. We cut our gear loose just to get out of there while watching a boat heading towards us from Lincolnville beach.
Phew! That was close.

Lobbed 39 bullets out of a gun and can’t hit the side of a brick wall? How IS that homeowner with aiming the garden hose, anyway? Sounds like the adrenalin jolt hit him hard.

Tallywhagger

Some people really should not have a firearm. They would have been better off with a claw hammer. Or maybe a shotgun.

Ex-PH2

Or a big noisy dog with an attitude would do, too.

Just sayin’. 🙂

Too bad they had to light the place up

Assuming the ammo and gun go together, I’m gonna call that Model 25-5. .45 Colt is the only ammo I know with deep case cannelures like that. Like the knife, when you are willing to get up close and personal. Never understood why people think shooting someone is ‘clean’ but using a knife is somehow ‘unclean’.

GDContractor

I’ve seen 38 spc and 44 mag seated like that. Hard to say. Those rounds in the photo look substantially shorter than the cylinder on that pistol.

11B-Mailclerk

Those are .45ACP rounds. The model 625 is commonly chambered for that round. One uses full-moon clips to hold them, then drops the assembled set into the gun to load. Reloads are really slick and quick.

There is a gunsmith mod of the .45 Colt 625, that allows one to use either six loose .45 Colt rounds, or a moon clip of .45ACP. Best of both worlds.

rgr769

I have a Colt SAA with a spare cylinder in 45 ACP. No half-moons needed, as the chambers are cut so that the cartridges head space on the case mouth.

11B-Mailclerk

I wound up with Pop’s convertible Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt/ACP. Good gun. A Colt version would be -nice-.

If I am not mistaken, the stock .45ACP 625s that use a clip have that same sort of proper chamber, allowing firing without the clips. The ejector star won’t engage the rimless rounds, so ejection is a manual “where is my pen?” affair. But you do get the six rounds off.

Neat guns, however they are set up.

Great job by the Boyle County homeowner holding the perp at gun point so as not to let the situation “Boyle” over.
