President Trump Becomes First Sitting President to Step on North Korean Soil

President Trump became the first sitting US President to set foot on North Korean soil. This began with a tweet inviting their leader to meet for a handshake at the border. Then, after they came face-to-face, President Trump asked if Kim Jong-un wanted him to cross over.
Kim accepted; they walked 10 steps into North Korea. Then, they turned around and walked into South Korea. What was supposed to be a couple minutes of meeting grew to nearly an hour.

In a made-for television moment, the two leaders strode toward one another from opposite sides of the Joint Security Area and shook hands over the raised patch of concrete at the Military Demarcation Line as cameras clicked and photographers jostled to capture the scene. After asking if Kim wanted him to cross, Trump took 10 steps into the North with Kim at his side, before escorting Kim back to the South for a sit-down at Freedom House.
President Trump’s actions could be compared with similar events with the previous US presidents. As seen with the photo above, President Obama is surrounded by security and has a protective barrier in front of him. President Trump, much older than President Obama, symbolically showed a willingness to “push the envelope”.

I was up and at work when this went down.
There I was, in my empty office, applauding when PDT crossed over.

I had to wipe a tear from my eye.
I was in the Gym when I saw it on the TV. I had my headphones on, so I couldn’t hear what they were saying, but the headline banner was enough to motivate me to run an additional mile for the President.

Some Democratic presidential hopeful was on Fox this morning saying what a disgrace it was for him to be there visiting a dictator who fired missiles over Japan. They just can’t stand to see the other side making history and, potentially, progress in the region where they have consistently failed.
Yet, not a peep about FDR sitting down with Josef Stalin, who probably killed twice as many people than Hitler.
Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, but weren’t the prog lackeys in the liberal MSM screeching that President Trump was goading us into a Nuclear War with North Korea right after he pulled the plug on the talks in Vietnam? Meh, they said the same thing about Ronald Reagan when he walked away from the table with the Soviets in Rekyavik, Iceland.
They say a lot of things. None of it ever makes sense, though.
