Proposed bill allows remote renewal of concealed pistol licenses for military members serving outside the state of Washington
OLYMPIA – The state House has unanimously passed a bill that would streamline concealed pistol license (CPLs) renewals for members of the Armed Forces who are deployed out of state. Sponsored by State Rep. Michelle Caldier, House Bill 1934 would members of the military to remotely renew their CPLs if their serving outside of the state of Washington. Caldier says the bill was inspired by a conversation she had with a soldier.
The state House unanimously passed a bill protecting gun rights? Are they not concerned about these bloodthirsty trained killers with PTSD roaming the streets of the Evergreen State?
“He told me he’s been a resident of Washington state for 22 years, but he’s deployed in the military in Virginia. He didn’t think it is fair to have to fly all the way across the country to Washington state just to renew his concealed weapons permit,” said Caldier, R-Port Orchard. “This bill would allow our active-duty military men and women to renew their license by mail, or potentially online. It’s a small, but important step, to help those who are sacrificing to keep our nation free.”
Where are all of those crazy kids that attend Evercaustic State? They still have hope to kill this effort to protect evil constitutional rights…
The bill goes to the Senate for consideration.

As hopeful as I am, I get the feeling the PROS (People’s Republik of Seattlestan) will never go for this, considering some of the fucked up gun laws they’ve enacted of late.
My thoughts exactly… both houses are Donk controlled, and the Governor is a Donk… probably get all wee wee’d up if he ever saw it on his desk for signature.
Hard for a governor to not sign a unanimously passed bill, unless he does it purely for political points and awaits the veto override.
True, but NEVER trust a D-rat!
IMO: Weapons permits should be treated as Drivers license. It’s that simple.
Simple solutions to simple problems are not allowed.
Governor Jay Inslee (local radio stations play “Running on Empty” as an introduction when they talk about his campaign for President) will probably be out campaigning if it somehow does pass the Senate. Then it will be up to our blind Lt Governor Cyrus Habib, a rabid “D” and anti-gun zealot, to sign the measure if it gets that far.
He refused to attend the state of the state address in the House chamber because citizens licensed for concealed carry have the right to carry in the capital building.
He previously had tried to close the two rows of seating in the House gallery to the public and when that failed he wanted metal detectors, which was turned down. He had already banned concealed carry in the Senate chamber but the address was in the House chamber.
I got my CPL back in 93 before I came back in the army; I wonder if I can renew it??? I used to be too thin to effectively conceal my Baretta 92FS so didn’t carry too often.
