Online iPhone sale ends with deadly shooting in Galveston County

GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas — A man who police said just wanted to buy an iPhone ended up shooting and killing a would-be robber in rural Galveston County.The 38-year-old man answered an ad on the OfferUp app for a late-model iPhone for approximately $500 in cash, the Galveston County Sheriff Office said.
The man agreed to meet the seller about 5 a.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of Lilley, a rural area northwest of Santa Fe, because one of the men said he had to go to work early, GCSO said.
The 38-year-old man arrived at the spot and met with 17-year old Joshua Wooten.
The man said Wooten handed him an empty iPhone box and told detectives Wooten then tried to rob him.

Girlfriend Acted In Self-Defense When Fatally Shooting Boyfriend

USA –-(Ammoland.com)- The Duluth Tribune reports 02-05-19 in Alexandria, MN, no charges will be filed in the shooting death of a 43-year-old man in his home near Leaf Valley on May 9, 2018.The boyfriend reportedly moved to the area in the fall of 2017 and was living in a house with the victim and her two children at 7395 County Road 5 NW, about 8 miles northwest of Alexandria.
At about 4:10 p.m. on May 9, the sheriff’s office received a 911 call about a domestic disturbance in progress at the house. As law enforcement officers were responding, they were advised by a dispatcher that a firearm was involved and shots had been fired.

Sheriff’s Office: No charges for homeowner in fatal December shooting

The Davidson County District Attorney’s Office has ruled the fatal December shooting of a man trying to break into an Upton Street home a justifiable homicide.Silvestre Begley, 21, died of a single gunshot wound to the chest. The shot was fired by homeowner Joseph Asis.
Asis will not face charges.
Sheriff Richie Simmons said in December that deputies received a call to a reported home invasion and shooting in the 100 block of Upton Street, just outside Lexington city limits, around 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 20.
Officers with the Lexington Police Department arrived first on the scene and found Begley dead on the front yard. He died before medical first responders arrived, Simmons said.

Suspect Who Shot at Police and Led Officers on Chase Has Died: Police
A man is dead after exchanging gunfire with police after trying to carjack several cars and leading police on a chase that spanned from Norwich to Windham on Wednesday afternoon.
Norwich police said they were responding to reports of a possible break-in and the person fled and shot at officers.
It’s not clear how long the pursuit lasted, but it started shortly before 11 a.m. and police said the driver attempted to carjack several vehicles and was shooting at civilians.
Part of the chase was on Interstate 395 and it ended in Willimantic after officers used stop sticks, forcing the vehicle to stop.

This one you might keep on eye on as it seems to allow them with a badge to enter any home and confiscate any guns without probable cause.
Maryland has already enacted such a law, and has the first fatality because of it.

While not defending the grip of the young lady in the photo, I do know another young lady and AF brat who stands 5′-cute who loves her Desert Eagle. An indoor range banned it after her first range session there because it was bothering the patrons in the store front and setting off car alarms in the parking lot.
But she loves it – and the rounds go to center mass every time.
Lol. The range owner’s should have a little pride and dignity. Give here a discount instead of banning the weapon.
