Police: Man shoots robbery suspects in Logan Square

A 29-year-old man sidelined a New Year’s Eve robbery in Logan Square by shooting the two suspects he said tried to rob him, Chicago police said.Around 9:40 p.m. in the 2900 block of West Cortland Street, two male suspects with handguns got out of a silver Nissan and told the man they were robbing him, police said. The man, who is a concealed carry license and firearm owner’s identification card holder, shot both suspects, police said. They were taken to local hospitals and stabilized.

Security guards kill armed man at casino-resort, police say

Security guards shot and killed an armed man in a casino-resort Sunday in suburban Las Vegas during a confrontation, police said.
The man, whose name was not released, was walking through the Green Valley Ranch resort about 3:40 p.m. when people told security that he was carrying a handgun, police told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Three security guards confronted the man, and he drew his weapon, police said. Two of the guards shot the man, police said.
He received medical care at the casino but later died.

Too bad the Chicagans weren’t “stabilized” in a permanent horizontal position. Now they are on the taxpayer’s hands.
New details emerging from the Vegas casino-resort indicate the armed patron was loudly singing in a off-key and raspy voice, stanzas from Motorhead’s 1980 hit single The Ace of Spades immediately before being killed by security guards:
“You know I’m born to lose, and gambling’s for fools,
But that’s the way I like it baby,
I don’t wanna live for ever,
And don’t forget the joker!”

Semi open carrying in a casino full of armed guards. How is it possible for anything to go wrong? Dumbass was stoned, stupid, and suicidal.
On the Chicongo/Chistan Story. I had seen a blurb yesterday on the decrease in murders there this past year. Only had 547 some odd (?) v 600+ for 2017. I always click on the linky thingies provided (these are muchly appreciated, Tanks ‘Ed) to get the “rest of the story.” A story that followed the one linked to was about the 39,000+ homicides that have taken place in ChiTown in the last 60 years. Yes that was thirty nine THOUSAND murders. Y’all might want to read that one. It emphasized, on paper, what we have talked about many times here; i.e. Demoncats control and enforced segregation/separation of neighborhoods and massive amounts of black on black crime.
Sadly, too, the article mentioned the “ills” (my take) of society and the ready availability of guns vs the individual responsibility for crime.
