Tuesday morning feel good stories

| June 5, 2018

The other day we wrote about the homeowner who shot to death two criminals in Memphis, Tennessee. Today we learn that he used a scary black rifle to balance the scales in his favor;

As the shooting went on, the homeowner pulled out a weapon of his own from a closet – a “personal” AK-47 rifle.

“I don’t know what’s going on but I know I’m going to defend my life to the best of my ability,” he told WMC. “I just let loose, not knowing it hit both of them,” the man told Fox 13.

When officials arrived, both 28-year-old Azell Witherspoon and 17-year-old Demond Robinson were pronounced dead, according to the Commercial Appeal. Police detained the homeowner but concluded that the shooting was in self-defense and did not press charges, according to the paper.

The homeowner told WMC this wasn’t his first brush with violence, and that his home had been shot up less than a year ago.

From Park County, Colorado;

According to the sheriff’s office, after the attempted carjacking, the victim was able to escape and flagged down a ranch employee for help. The employee tracked down the suspect during a confrontation, the suspect was shot at least one time while the ranch employee was stabbed several times.

Despite his wound, the suspect ran when deputies arrived. They chased him and arrested him around 5 p.m. Sunday. Deputies attempted to control the bleeding from his gunshot wound, but the suspect died before Platte Canyon Fire and Flight for Life arrived.

No deputies fired their weapons, Jones said.

a “personal” AK-47 rifle.

As oppossed to a borrowed one?

OWB

Or an impersonal one??

AZtoVA

As opposed to a public one?

Frankie Cee

Two incidents, and 3 people who got everything they deserved, from people exercising their right to self defense.

Deplorable B Woodman

And the world is a more peaceful place………now.

Ex-PH2

Some idiot teen decides he’s going to carjack someone and gets whacked for it.

No, I do not feel sorry for him.

I feel sorry for the ranch hand who he stabbed. And I hope he has a full recovery.

There seems to be a lack of common sense and decency in people these days. Must be the virus CAGWers are spreading.

Mick

Azell Witherspoon: Demond Robinson.

Both DRT.

Probably not a huge score in the overall scheme of things in the ongoing Official TAH Name Scrabble (Home Version) game, but it might be worth a spin of the Whiz Wheel anyway.

Claw?

Oops, Sorry, was over at the VFW Post Book of the Face (where Richard Hollingsworth is Post Commander) watching a video where the Honor Guard allowed the colors to touch the ground during a ceremony and didn’t see the request to put the Whiz Wheel to work. So here goes:

Asshole, Oops, meant Azell Witherspoon (DRT) 33×3= 99

Demented, Damnit, Oops again, Demond Robinson (DRT) 20×3= 60

Here’s wishing the ranch hand a quick and full recovery! You just don’t mess with ranch folks, we take care of our own, and each other!

If the Deputies had been carrying golf tees, they could have used them to plug the bullet holes. We carried them on our floodlight rig with our Hazmat supplies.

Graybeard

OK, I’ve also heard about carrying tampons and using them to plug bullet holes. Anyone have any experience with the efficacy of that tactic?

I know maxipads are considered good improvised severe-laceration bandages, but I have no experience with deep penetrating wounds.

Also I was told by my son of something supposedly used during the Viet of the Nam conflict – an aerosol spray used to stop bleeding in large open complex wounds. I’ve never heard of that – anyone have any knowledge about that?

AZtoVA

“aerosol spray used to stop bleeding”

Why is it that the picture that comes to mind is an aerosol can and a lighter being used to cauterize the hell out of a bleeding thug? And why does that make ME feel all warm inside?

HMC Ret

No experience with penetrating wounds such as GSW. Maxi Pads and etc work well with wounds that are not deep. Also, have heard of cigarette cellophane being used on sucking chest wounds. Never heard of an aerosol used for wounds. Anyone with experience want to chime in here? Would really love to hear about that one.

RCAF-CHAIRBORNE

I have heared there is now a form of Quick Clot in a foaming spray. Dont know is that is what you were referring to.

Sounds like a good idea to me anyway
