Earl Phillip; not an Army Ranger
Earl Phillip was a controversial Trump proponent in North Carolina during the 2016 election. Some folks accused him of brandishing a weapon and making threatening gestures, according to Heavy.
He also claims to be an Army Ranger. Notice the Ranger Tab on his lapel in the picture above and the following;
His entire military career was spent in the Maryland National Guard in the 175th Infantry Regiment, not to be confused with the 75th Ranger Regiment;
No Ranger School, no Ranger Assignments.

Nothing like taking a great big, hairy, bucktooth shit all over an otherwise honorable military term of service.
According to his ERB, it was a general military term of service.
General discharge from the MDARNG, at that.
Shitbag.
Word.
General Discharge = Shitbag.
Great start for a Monday morning.
That court filing at the “Heavy” link looks very Bernathian.
I had to look up “Bernathian.”
I can guarantee it’s not Bernathian. All of the people who saw his weapon at inappropriate times still hold party or administration positions.
Their sworn testimony will never be refuted and this “hero” gave up the chance to clear his name.
There is much more that went on that is unflattering to say the least.
It was a monumental effort to keep a lid on it during the primaries. Dude’s incompetence could have cost us the election.
I really wish I could say more but you have not heard the last of this most likely.
General discharge.
Oh.
FFS. Earned a Blue Cord, was a Team Leader. That alone puts you in pretty rare and tough terrain.
I understand stepping on ones’ dick becomes habit but good God, man! Ranger School records are complete, forever and easy to access.
You failed yourself at leadership.
Not helping Philip.
WTF is he trying to prove? 90-odd percent of the sheeple have no idea what the significance is, and the ones who do may ask some pointed questions to ascertain it’s veracity.
Dumbass.
Alright, what am I missing? He wears a Ranger t-shirt and a pin? Is that enough to claim he’s claiming to be a Ranger?
The pin is a little much I suppose, but honestly, I’ve got RangerUp t-shirts that I wear to the gym. One of them has “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly warfare” on it and they all have “Ranger” Up on them.
This should not be taken as an implication that I ever served with the Baker Street Irregulars or that I’ve ever been a Ranger.
Ranger Up isn’t close to the same pose he is trying to pull off.
He says there is a “Page 1” missing from his NA form, and it would clear all this “mistake” up btw. SMH
I can’t get to his facebook, blocked at work (but TaH isn’t, go figure). Which is why I asked. Usually Jon and the crew are pretty good about posting screen shots of his comments.
So I wondered, but if he’s engaging and doubling down on the stupid, the stupid then yeah, f-him.
The bottom pic is a screen shot that indicates that Task Force Dagger Foundation presented “former Ranger Earl Phillips” with some token or award, a “Bullet Pen.” I wonder where they got the idea Phillips was a Ranger. The pin was enough. The tee shirt is a bonus. The comment to the “pen” photo seals it.
I hope Keith washed his hands after shaking hands with this lying slimy fucker!
But your RangerUp t-sirts don’t have a 12 inch wide ranger tab across the chest. I too have RangerUp shirts, and being one who supports the 6th Rangers, I have black t-shirts with a Ranger tab, but above that tab is another tab that says “SUPPORT”. Seeing someone in the shirt he is wearing suggests “Ranger”, nothing more, nothing less.
Actually, one of them does: https://rangerup.com/products/ranger-severest-of-schools-ultra-thin-vintage-t-shirt?variant=1451988713496
That is beside the point though, if the entire case of SV against this dude is that he wore a shirt with ranger on it it would strike me as another case of us eating our own.
But as I mentioned above, it sounds like he’s doubling down on the comments and claiming that old chestnut of “the dog ate a page of my records”, something that wasn’t presented as part of the original post.
You realize that the pin is an accoutrement for the Army uniform, right?
IF the first thing out of your mouth is,”NO I wasn’t, I wear this because….” then things would be a little different.
I wear my little pin on “hero badges” I earned, but I don’t wear a Master Parachutist badge EVER because I never EARNED it.
There IS a difference, why the f**k would you wear a shirt with something on it you didn’t earn KNOWING about it if you were in the army actually?
He’s a wannabe douchebag. Period.
I couldn’t comment on the facebook page of Not a Ranger Earl Phillip, but I did leave him this message:
“Why do you claim to be a Ranger? Why do you wear a Ranger Tab on your lapel? Got a Class number? Are you aware that there are a bunch of “Real Deal” veterans that are creating Gooooogle entries with every comment that we make about your phoniness at the link below? If you don’t care about what those who look you up at Gooooogle will find, just ignore this. If you want to double down on the phoniness, just block me on Facebook. If you have a plausible explanation for wearing a tab, and a Ranger T-shirt, come to the link below and explain yourself. Be forewarned though, we have heard all the phony excuses that you phony types like to use to attempt to unfuck yourselves, but go ahead, have at it.

The word on the street is that the reason he brandished his firearm at someone is because he was called out for the Ranger claims.
Earl Lyndon Phillip, never an Army Ranger, engaged in stupidity of chevalierian proportions. 🙄
Sounds like someone with anger, stress, control, and narcissism issues.
I wonder why Vincent Bordini and the other victims did not register a complaint with the police department about these alleged brandishings by Earl Phillip?
Short answer, we would have lost the campaign in the two looming state primaries.
Our boss said “No, no police” and we expected the campaign to handle it. They didn’t.
Douchebags gotta douchebag.
In Maryland? I’m surprised he’s not on death row, if MD had one.
Earl Lyndon Phillip, was not an Army Ranger. He served time in the National Guard from February 28, 1985 to August 22, 1991, and then spent another time in another reserve component from August 23, 1991 to March 2, 1993. [Google Hit.]
Apparently, the Army Service Ribbon wasn’t enough for him. Does he not realize that not everybody in the military has one of those? 🙄 He should’ve been sporting T-shirts with the Army Service Ribbon, and used the ASR image in other areas associated with him.
But noooooo! 🙄 Sheesh, some people are ungrateful. 🙄
My guess is he did a 6×2 enlistment and after six years participating his last two were IRR which would explain the transfer to no where. My first term was the same (without the lies) six participating in the Guard and two on IRR with a transfer to the Army Reserve.
ASR T-shirts, ASR hats, ASR bumper stickers, ASR patches for the ASR emblazened vest, ASR flags to hang from the porch…($$$$)
To the print shop!!
Then to the lawer to work out thebesig’s 20%. It was his idea after all.
Cocksucker.
Cocksucking double shitbag.
Cocksucking Atomic Sphincter Weasel.
Chickenfucking Cocksucking Atomic Sphincter Weasel.
Looking at the date of his discharge it’s just over a year after Iraq invaded Kuwait. Wonder if he stopped participating in August/September of 1990 and got the boot to IRR a year later? From what I can see his unit did not deploy then. A year is about right for an involuntary to IRR in my experience.
Gotta wonder how much money was left laying on the streets of Iraq. Bullet pens who knew?
I have a “Bullet Pen”. A friend does lathe work and turns the body of them from Antlers, and various types of wood. I did some custom wood/epoxy blanks for him and took my pay as one of his pens. The tip and top of the pens can be bought online, in bulk, and the center is added by the crafter. They look cool with a “bolt action” activator.
There is no way he could have gone to Ranger School as a National Guard E-4 during his six years. He was only on active duty for the 13 weeks it took for OSUT (basic plus AIT). In the late 80’s the only E-4’s sent to Ranger School were specially selected for likelihood to get the tab and already serving in one of the Ranger Battalions. I did have a Spec 4 in my Ranger class, but he was a LRRP troop from a corps level LRRP company in Germany. He and that company’s 1st Sgt. were both in my platoon.
So the dude goes all “Uncle Tom” for Trump/Republicans and then turns out to be dirt bag…no one will have him now…he should have gone dem…he’d be right at home claiming racism did him in
Trump supporter, Hillary supporter, athletic supporter.
Shitbag regardless.
A Two-Hole Ranger is more like it.
Beware…the card is on the way. Can’t believe he has waited this long to pull it. Din’t he learn nuttin?
He’ll go full dindu soon…then run a Sanders campaign…dindus love free shit…
Rump raiding ranger maybe. Nothing more. Dickhead!
Ouch. I was the XO and S-3 of the 1-175th Infantry. It’s a proud unit and the fact that this poser was a member of the “Dandy Fifth” is a shame.
I enlisted in 1982 in A 1/175, spent 3 years there and transferred to HHC 1/175 when the TOW sections were consolidated when the 29th ID (L) was reactivated. I can’t recall this douche.
Earl….the Dixie Chicks have had enough of your bullshit! Get in the trunk.
