| April 24, 2018

I got the day off…suck it

Paging Bradley Manning

I guess not, when the AG is your wingman

A monopoly they like

Those evil sentient assault weapons!!!

He’s history

Guaranteed misery

Douchey lawyer is douchey…I repeat myself

Ah yes…gotta pull this card

More people live in the state of Georgia than this place. Really?

This should be a short list

Well, he was white…duh.

Everything is racist

Only leftists write gooder

And who started that trend? Hmmm?

I seem to remember something like this in 2016

Big Foot in mouth

…you live long enough to become what you hate.

Two things down the middle of the road…

So ronery

Glad to see her land on her feet

Seek help

Seriously, it’s over, DUmbasses

Oh, well if the media wills it, it must be true

They’re gonna DENOUNCE you! Oh noes11!!!!

Crashing symbols

Here’s to hoping the Blue Wave becomes a Ty-D-Bol Swirl

Thankfully, the rest of us will

Ah yes…”They”.

They really do need to start watching more TV. If they did, they’d know already that Reinking, the Waffle House Shooter, was arrested in the woods behind a building near Antioch, TN, or some obscure place like that.

Not enough caffeine for this so early, Claymore. But I will endeavor to persevere. (Thanks, Lone Watie)

Claymore

Try to think of it as a saga of mental illness where the patients are running the asylum. It helps. I’d also suggest some Jameson’s in that coffee. Dr’s orders.

Ex-PH2

Jameson’s? Now there’s a thought!

I’ll be back. I need sustenance. Chocolate ice cream and cheesecake will do nicely, and it’s only 8:20 AM in my kingdom. I’m saving the little Johnsonville piggies for tomorrow.

Claymore

Beer + Fox Brother’s BBQ sauce + cocktail sausages = drunken weenies…goes over bigly at parties! 😀

Ex-PH2

Johnsonville breakfast sausages, hash browns w/onions, and scrambled eggs go over big anywhere.

Fox Brothers BBQ sauce. I will look for that one.

Claymore

Local ATL BBQ joint that makes some of the best sauce I’ve had in a long time. They even have Alabama white sauce, which rocks the monkey shit house on grilled yard bird.

Re: Ah yes…”They”,
From an article that quotes Amy Chozick‘s book about the HRC campaign, “No one in modern politics, male or female, has had to withstand more indignities, setbacks and cynicism. She developed protective armor that made the real Hillary Clinton an enigma. But if she was guarded about her feelings and opinions, she believed it was in careful pursuit of a dream for generations of Americans: the election of the country’s first woman president”. Then some wonderful DU’er says this little gem, “Never forget Putin. Ever. Hillary WON, and it took a massive multipronged conspiracy to keep her out
It’s still stunning“.
These two ideas are logically in disagreement. HRC colluded with the DNC to manipulate the primary as shown by the Podesta leak. I’m willing to concede that hack may have been perpetrated by someone in Russia, but FFS… HRC went off the cuff on sundry occasion to bash anyone and anything which she disagreed thereby torpedoing her chance to lead this country. If those two things equal conspiracy then we should dig up Mr Webster and slap his corpse for misdefining the word.
I really must stop reading Tuesdays with Claymore or get on blood pressure control meds.

I had mucho difficulty with it for a long time, too, Roh-Dog, because as someone told us some time back, they refuse to let anyone have a dissenting opinion.

The closed mind is something that takes patience and skill to crack open. View them as adults with the minds of 6-year-old children on their first day at school.

Roh-Dog

But why, for the love of f***, do they have to make it our problem?
I just want to work, better my station, and enable others to do the same.
Bad news should come with a deep breath, tightening of the boots, and if necessary, a shot of whiskey.

Ex-PH2

Why? Because that’s what little kids do. It’s always someone else’s fault.

I like to consider it like mindless people watching at the mall or park. In this case it’s watching the mentally ill reinforce each other’s psychoses.

That one in “Seek Help” is right up there with that “suicide prevention put me on hold” whacko.

Two things seemed to stand out in the Paging Bradley Manning thread. One is a sense of arrested development. It’s as if a lot of the DUers are like those fans following the Grateful Dead around for 30 years because they want it to forever be 1968.

Another is that a fair number of DUers apparently still can’t seem to grasp the idea that the main reason President Trump won was because more than half the country thought Hillary Clinton was the political equivalent of Jabba the Hutt.

Ex-PH2

Perry, I think it’s the same refusal to see reality that exists in people who think communism and socialism are better ways to do things.

I got a copy of ‘Writer, Sailor, Soldier, Spy’ by Nicholas Reynolds. The first chapter alone was an eye-opener, the more so because the author did such a thorough job of investigating Hemingway’s spy/counterspy activities during WWII, that it answered a lot of questions about people like the DUers and SJWs.

Hemingway was duped and used as a tool, but his ego was so much a part of him that he didn’t realize how he’d been used until the Castros kicked him out of Cuba.

Get a copy. It’s a long, hard read, but it’s worth it.

Perry Gaskill

Ex, I’ve never had any particular illusions about Hemingway. My own view is that his best work is A Moveable Feast which is the non-fiction account of a time when he was poor in Paris in the 1920s. Hemingway had a unique style, and it’s probably fair to say he was a very perceptive observer of the people he was running with at the time, including F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Another observer I’ve found to have a unique voice is Joan Didion. Despite a sometimes angsty tone, she has also somehow been able to maintain a clarity and keen eye over time. Unlike Hemingway who hit a creative barrier just prior to World War II.

Is that arrested development? If it is, I’m not so sure it’s the same as the kind the DUers seem to show. One is a matter of having the creative bucket empty out, and not being able to have it refill. The other is never having the creative bucket fill at all.

Ex-PH2

Okay, if you take a look at the ‘Gonna Denounce You’ link that Claymore included up there in Craycray land, everything in that frothing whine can be applied to the leftist side of the political fence, including what happened in the 2016 election. Everything.

In Hemingway’s case, he had writer’s block, which finally broke and got him going with his last creation ‘The Old Man and the Sea’, but I think he was so appalled by the Castros kicking him out of Cuba – he thought he and Fidel were buddies – that he never got over that. While I don’t know how long it took, the fact that he had been nothing but a tool for the Soviets finally sank in, and that did him in.
I’m finding things out that you don’t get through the usual bios, and I see the parallels between what is going on now, and what the communists did in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s and on up until Joe McCarthy held his hearings.

The commonality between then and now is glaringly obvious.

Claymore, everytime I peruse your links to DU I come away with further conviction that these progtards are like the “walking dead” of the current TV series.
According to the characters of that show, the only cure is a base metal injection to the brain pan.
