Governor Val Kilmer? Oh Yeah, He’s Also a Major Douche

| February 6, 2009

Val Kilmer owns a 6000 acre ranch in New Mexico making him a legal resident. And since he is a resident, he thinks he should be in charge of the other 1.9 million folks as their governor.

One of New Mexico’s most famous residents is once again telling people in the press that he wants to run for governor.

According to The Hill actor Val Kilmer is still thinking about running for New Mexico’s top job in 2010 when the current governor, Bill Richardson, is term-limited out of office.

And Kilmer hinted that he has the backing of Gov. Bill Richardson.

The Hill reports that Kilmer said the mysterious “they” have asked him to run.

He told The Hill at Monday’s Huffington Post party at the Newseum that he has been approached to run for the highest office of the state where he owns a ranch and has family roots.

“Actually, they’ve asked me to run for governor,” he said, not specifying who “they” are. “People seem to want me to.”

I despise Val Kilmer.

Not because of his acting. He’s a fine actor and certainly an accomplished one.

Not for being a general wacko. He’s a method actor and by definition that means a little insane.

Not for his being a Christian Scientist. Though I do think it is child abuse to withhold medicine from a sick child.

No, I despise Val Kilmer because he is a military-hating, lying sack of shit.

Here is an excerpt from an interview that Kilmer did with Esquire magazine:

[Klosterman]: You mean you think you literally had the same experience as Doc Holliday?

Kilmer: Oh, sure. It’s not like I believed that I shot somebody, but I absolutely know what it feels like to pull the trigger and take someone’s life.

[Klosterman:] You understand how it feels to shoot someone as much as a person who has actually committed a murder?

[Kilmer] I understand it more. It’s an actor’s job. A guy who’s lived through the horror of Vietnam has not spent his life preparing his mind for it. He’s some punk. Most guys were borderline criminal or poor, and that’s why they got sent to Vietnam. It was all the poor, wretched kids who got beat up by their dads, guys who didn’t get on the football team, couldn’t finagle a scholarship. They didn’t have the emotional equipment to handle that experience. But this is what an actor trains to do. I can more effectively represent that kid in Vietnam than a guy who was there.

I think that’s fairly clear…..DOUCHE.

There are approximately 180,000 veterans in New Mexico that would probably be interested in knowing Mr. Kilmer’s views on veterans.

Among them is probably a gentleman named John Garcia:

The Secretary of the Department of Veterans Services is John M. Garcia. He brings a background in strategic planning, business development and community relations. The Secretary is well known to the veterans’ community and was a Commissioner on the predecessor state veterans body, the New Mexico Veterans Service Commission.

Secretary Garcia served in the Central Highlands of South Vietnam in 1969-1970 as a member of the U.S. Army’s 4th Infantry Division. He is a founding member of the Vietnam Veterans of New Mexico and served as the National Deputy Director of the Vietnam Veterans Leadership Program in Washington, DC.

So, Val, anytime you want to try to defend the above statement; I’ll be your huckleberry.

YOU SACK OF (DELETED)valium kilmer… MY DAD WAS A TROOPER IN THE 101ST AIRBORNE… You aren’t up to cleaning the mud off the boots he wore rucking the boonies in places like An Ninh, The A-Shau Valley and Dak To. You definitely couldn’t shoulder his rucksack punk…10 minutes in the boonies enduring what he and his comrades survived would’ve drove your weak azz crazy. Any film with this holiweirdo garners no interest from me.

Sig

Wow. That’s… breathtaking, in its ignorance. An actor knows war better than the soldiers who fought it? An interesting thesis.

Ya know, I’d bet it’s be a hoot and a half to see him being faced with a life or death choice. He’d prolly piss down his leg and be frozen like a deer in the headlights if someone was really shooting at him.

I’d LOVE to be there to watch it happen, too. 🙂

Frikken’ #%$@%&***^%&(#$ actor.

Claymore

…never go full retard, man.

Synova

And the real question is… will the Republicans in New Mexico go ahead and *use* that? Or are they just as stupid as McCain.

Jay Lee

The quotes seem to represent what he said. But, they are out of context in the original article and again in this discussion. He IS weird. So? He won’t really run for gov and if he did which party would endorse him? Neither.

I’m a Vietnam vet (USMC) and ten years in law enforcement in Houston in the eighties. I currently teach mental skills to Soldiers in an Army program. I think that I’m plenty in touch with who I am and don’t need to be lectured by an ‘actor’. However, I don’t find it offensive that he is who he is. We’ve got bigger problems and bigger fish to fry than a strange man living in the sticks in New Mexico.

Old Tanker

WOW, I always liked most of Val’s movies but DAMN, what an assclown….

Spike62

The best line I ever heard about this supposed actor was an insult from a famous director: “I wouldn’t hire Val Kilmer to perform in ‘The Val Kilmer Story’.”
This pathetic shitbird presumes acting provides more insight into human behavior than real life. I feel so shallow and empty because I actually led a real life and survived some really frightening events rather than pretending to be someone else for pay. Life would have been so much easier, and more fullfilling for me if only I had gone to Julliard rather than getting a commission & commanding a Recon detachment.
I appologize to you all for being a wimpering pissant of a human being.

Mike Doyle

F*ck-wad just lost me FOREVER.

Jonn,

Read below. It’s amazing that eHarmony hasn’t matched up Val and Army Sargent yet…

But then again, has anyone ever seen them in the same place at the same time?

Rocketman

Dude ,I use to live in New Mexico.I grew up in a Mexican barrio and I am caucasian.Kilmer is a plastic piece of dipshit that is told; what to say,how to say it,when to say it,where to stand, what to think and how to smile.
I learned that in kindergarden and the US Army.He wouldn’t have made it through basic training in Fort Bliss Texas. He would of being crying for his mother to comew and retrieve his pansy ass..He’s a huckleberry alright…just another wannabe somebody in hollywierd.Governor? The Mexicans will soon own his 6,ooo acre ranch and he will be riding a burro back to Hollywierd.

Driefromseattle

I’m an actress now. I married and Air Force officer and traveled the world with him (well not to the Desert!) Before I married I was in Law Enforcement. I also studied the Stanislavski Method of acting, which Mr. Kilmer is apparently well skilled in–well, skilled in…um, practices? The MOST he could say about how it feels to go to war is that he has imagined it, talked to psychologists about it, talked to vets about it (Like he would ever do that and they would ever join in the conversation) OR he’s practiced the art of killing in war by swatting several thousand flies on his 6000 acre ranch and NOW he knows what it’s like to kill. Sheesh!

He is a pissant. Most actors, unless they’ve had real lives, are pissants. My opinion about actors getting involved in politics– I don’t trust the vast majority of actors!! They wear a “mask” for a living.

My own philosophy about candidates: No more actors and NO MORE LAWYERS!…I got it out of my system. Thanks for letting me vent. I’ll try not to bother you again.

AFSister

Oh
My
GOD…..

Apparently Val’s still playing Iceman in real life. A piece of advise for ya, Val: Acting is NOT life; it’s MAKE-BELIEVE. Just because you’re a piece of shit method actor doesn’t mean you could actually do anything you’ve ever imagined.

Douche.

UpNorth

Drie, what a great line for anyone running against that great soldier, uh, actor, or any actor, other than Reagan. “They wear a mask for a living”, wonder if anyone will be smart enough to use it?

HoosierArmyMom

No, I despise Val Kilmer because he is a military-hating, lying sack of shit.

Well, in accordance with my SOP, that is the No 1 reason to hate a person and it does confirm your diagnosis… DOUCHE. Let me take that a step further. It puts him in a class with other traitors who were clueless to the truth, like Hanoi Jane and John “lying asshat” Kerry. Only an arrogant douchebag would assume a Nam Vet wasn’t the guy next door who simply did not shirk from his duty to his country!!!

ROK Drop

Kilmer if elected could hire Joshua Key to be in charge of his veteran’s affairs.

Jonn Lilyea

So, what is it with New Mexico? Adam Kokesh, IVAW’s spokesmodel, has moved back home to Santa Fe to start a Southwest version of DC’s IVAW tree house (but today he’s in Costa Rica resting up for the IVAW road tour this year).

John Chalus

Val Kilmer’s remarks about Vietnam Vets clearly demonstrate that he is out of touch and should not be the governor of anything. I served as a Navy SEAL in Vietnam.None of the SEALs even came close to what this dimwit describes. I was a Catholic high school graduate and had no criminal record.I was certainly not a punk. He is insulting all of the men and women who served in Vietnam with these remarks. I also have many friends from other service branches that served in Vietnam. They do not fit his imaginary profile. He is a disgrace to this country. He is however entitled to his opinion. Better men than him have died to allow him that right.

HoosierArmyMom

Obviously Val is a victim of Left-Wing – Anti-Military Derangement Syndrome. I sure he believes his fantasy assessment, and doesn’t mind that most of us think he’s a lying sack of cow dung who speaks with no authority whatsoever.

Jay Lee = Val Kilmer’s agent.

A man was sitting in a bar looking horribly depressed. The bartender came over to him and asked him what was the matter. The man replied “Well… I have a terrible problem. My IQ is 180, and I have a terrible time having a decent conversation with anyone”. The bartender replied, “Well, my IQ is 175 and I would love to have a conversation with you.” They happily chatted about quarks and black holes and the deepest secrets of the universe.

Two men were sitting near the center of the bar and overheard the exchange. One turned to the other and said “You know? I have the same problem. My IQ is 140 and I have a Hell of a time finding anyone to talk to.” The second man replied “Well… My IQ is 147, what would you like to discuss?” They sat and chatted about stock options and the futures market, happy as clams.

Two other men were at the end of the bar. One of them looks at the other man and says “Ya know… I have the same problemo dude. My IQ is 83 and I can’t find anybody who will talk to me.” The second man grunted, and shrugged saying “Yeah… mine’s 78 and nobody will talk to me either.” The first man says “Duuude! I’ll talk to ya!” The second man replies “COOL!………. uhhhh…what do ya want to talk about?”

The first man thinks for a long minute, and a look of joy comes to his face. “I know!” he exclaims. “Have you been to any good auditions lately???”

cmblake6

I would say I’m stunned. But I’m not. What stuns me is when a Wholeywierd turns out to be Conservative! Un-frakking-believable. The man(?) disgusts me. As an actor, okay. But this moonbat side repulses me beyond reason. Idiot.

pst314

“We’ve got bigger problems and bigger fish to fry than a strange man living in the sticks in New Mexico.”

You’ve got a point, but in the long run it’s just as important to win the culture wars, and part of that means discrediting douche bags like Val Kilmer.

FYI, according to NRO, Kilmer donated money to Nader in the last election, so apparently Kilmer is a green Naderite & not a blue Obamabot:

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ! ! ! ! !

I feel one of those well-known post traumatic jungle fever psychotic breaks coming on – you know, the kind in which the guy blacks out and when he comes to, finds that he has beaten some lying gutless Hollywood rat bastard POS half to death with his bare hands… but has no memory of it!!!
What a freakin’ scumbag!!! Hook him up with Jane Fonda – maybe they will give each other terminal STD’s.

AW1 Tim

j3,

Fer heaven’s sake NOOOO! What happens if they reproduce? Think of the children, doooood.

WadeHM

Ewww. Val reproducing? Talk about dumbing down America. I’m a 26 year veteran firefighter and former police officer. I’d like to see him do or portray either job better than me based on his method acting. If Val gets governor, this country is in trouble. Maybe he thinks he is Arnold Schwarzenegger or Jesse Ventura.

Val, you are white trash.

Shellback

This guy is so enraptured by his own voice he probably can’t hear the sound of millions laughing at him. What a no-load ass-clown. The best thing he can do for the country or a vet is to shut his fucking hole. I’d like to beat his ass just on principle. Little pussy actor. Then charge him for a lesson in politics, patriotism and martial arts. I am getting so damn fed up with no-nothing shit-bird actors talking out of their asses about things that they have no understanding of. I served a tour in the Nav (combat SAR) and one in the ARMY – as one of those know-nothing enlisted guys. After I got I out I went on to get my college degree and became an environmental scientist and consulting business owner. What the hell has he ever done for his country? what has he ever done except pretend to be a real person.

Adam

He can “can more effectively represent that kid in Vietnam than a guy who was there.”? What a load of shit.

He has no business running for any elected office.

Rick

Hey Kilmer you piece of total sh8 I am a Vietnam Vet and a College Honor student you fu%kin retard, if I ever run into you you better be runnig you chicken sh8 piece of driviling vomit.
