Deputies say a homeowner shot and killed someone who broke into his northeast Harris County home overnight.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, it happened on the 14100 block of Brownsville Street.

Investigators said the suspect beat the homeowner, but the homeowner managed to get a gun and shoot the suspect.

AW1Ed sends a link from Springfield, Florida;

When officers arrived to the home, the residents and a witness told them a man named “Bennie” had been at the home and hit the woman knocking her unconscious. Police say a man came to her aid and Bennie began hitting that man with a hammer.

In self defense, the man pulled out a folding pocket knife and stabbed Bennie. Bennie then left the home..

Police later found and identified Bennie Lee Teague, 36, who lives in Oakland Terrace.

Teague was treated at Bay Medical Sacred Heart for minor stab wound. He was arrested and taken to the Bay County Jail with a charge of aggravated battery.

From High Point, North Carolina;

Officers said the initial investigation revealed that three males forced entry into the home and exchanged gunfire with a male who was inside.

Police said one of the men who broke into the home was shot and killed. He was identified as 21-year-old Christopher Lamont Gidderon.

The investigation is in its very early stages and no charges have been filed at this point.

From Troy, Ohio;

While the woman was on the phone with 911, her husband went to the garage and encountered a burglar, Lachey said.

“The homeowner had a gun and was confronted by the burglar and shot him,” Lachey said.

The male suspect was shot two times in the leg and once in the hand, according to Lachey. He said the man — who has not yet been been named — is in Miami Valley Hospital, and was having surgery Monday for a shattered femur.

[Miami County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Eric] Lachey said as there was no sign of forced entry, they believe the male suspect entered the home through a “doggie” door.

From Riverhead, New York;

A River Road resident yesterday afternoon reported someone had broken into his shed and stole tools, according to Riverhead Town Police. A police report was filed documenting the incident. Then just before 10 p.m. last night, the resident called police again to report that a man was burglarizing the shed. Upon police arrival, the owner of the residence reported that he went outside with a shotgun and fired a warning shot at the burglar, according to the police report. The burglar fled and he followed the subject to the Calverton Hills area of Calverton, the homeowner told police.

A short time later the Suffolk County Police Department was contacted and advised that there was a victim of a shooting in Calverton Hills, Riverhead Police said. He was transported to Stony Brook Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Looks to be a shutout this morning. Morning, fellow miscreants.

One person defended another with a knife, stabbing the miscreant. In several other incidents, legally armed citizens shot the bastards that were after life, limb and loot. At least one thug was removed from the scene feet first.
