Washington Post tackles David Clarke’s Stolen Valor
I guess the question about Sheriff David Clarke’s uniform and the Slate article which ignited the discussion was too good for the Washington Post to ignore. Despite the fact that the Left’s own fact checkers at Snopes admitted that it was a tempest in a teapot. The Post determined that it was worth their time and money to identify every little pin on the Sheriff’s uniform in an article entitled “Here’s what the pins that Sheriff Clarke wears actually mean“. Their conclusion should have been that they have too much time on their hands.
So here are the 22 things on Clarke’s uniform when he spoke at the convention in July, and, where possible, what the items represent. You’ll notice that, for Clarke, the pins are a mix of résumé and politics, precisely as he indicated.
So they list each and every piece of flair and they don’t find a single incident of something that was “stolen” or anything that denotes “valor”. I’ll agree that it’s just too much, but, for Pete’s sake, there’s nothing really wrong with the Sheriff’s uniform.
Many Democrats are using it to indicate some sort of deceit so they can demean the Sheriff, you know, because he’s black and strayed from the plantation as a Trump supporter – the same way that they created a myth that Ben Carson, the neurosurgeon, is an idiot.
For example, one of the 1600 comments on the Post article;

Jesus protect us. THIS MENTAL MIDGET is commissioned to carry a BADGE and a GUN? Perhaps the most frightening image since Charles Manson! I’ve seen him on Hannity, who does the knee pad act on him.
Speaking of mental midgets….

The “reporter” obviously has too much idle time on his hands…
What do you want them to do? Go out and report news about something newsworthy?
Yes. Why, yes, I do. And factually, too, using The Five Ws and an H. Who, what, where, why, when, how. Is that too much to ask?
Racist!!! You are a racist bigot!
This is the best that they have on him, and it frustrates their desire to obstruct anything that has the least attachment to “TRUMP”.
Great reply by Clarke!
Reader’s Digest version- Get stuffed, WaPo.
Finally the WaPo has found its niche! Fashion reporting! Hope they’re better at that than their attempts to convince everyone that the Rooshians are coming! Or were. Or might have, I’m gonna go have a soy latte! It’s all just so confusing, once you get out of Georgetown.
It just gets more and more pathetic. Like the local fishwrap, it used to be a real newspaper.
Maybe if they put Woodward and Bernstein on the case….
Do-rag and a Harley, and nobody’d say nuthin’.
It doesn’t speak well of the left when this is the kind of shit that gets their panties in a bunch.
What DOESN’T make Screaming Flower Monkey libtards get their asses wound up anymore?
Actually the item #12 is a flag pin that was sold as a fund raiser by the VFW a few years back. I had it approved by my department when I was a cop, and wore one on my duty uniform.
I’d take this more seriously if they would devote the same kind of effort on a few other folks like Blumenthal.
The American flag pin, along with the 9-11 shield pin were both authorized for wear on the uniform at my old agency. As the sheriff he can authorize any item he wants to be worn.
The Washed-all-up [Com]Post washes out yet again.
#15. Sheriff Clarke had the audacity to wear a name tag? How dare he?
Lars’ homies are really scraping the bottom of the porta-potty(and enjoying it, apparently).
I had to wonder what WAPO’s target audience was when they felt the need to identify his name tag and sheriff’s badge….aside from why they felt the need for any of it at all.
Instead of the 6 person investigation taking hundreds of hours of research, fact checking and interviews with “experts” someone could have , I don’t know, called Sheriff Clark and asked him what they were?
Coulda read his bio on his homepage…it talks about some of his cross training including time in Israel.
God Damn! If we didnt need you in the infantry we’d make you a general! 😉
Next week they’ll be going after VFW members and their hat pins.
What chumps.
Can we goad them into commenting on 1%-er biker vest bling?
The interviews could go on Pay-per-View as a fundraiser!
Just don’t send them after old Boy Scout leaders, please!
The entire “progressive” movement in a nutshell. Demean, belittle, mock and call stupid. They can’t defend their agenda so they sling mud instead.
Sheriff Clarke says it like it is, wish I had a Sheriff like him when I was working.
IN THE MEANTIME we still have Fatty Kim-Cheese trying to make and launch a nuke missile, terrorists pouring in to the West plotting and executing attacks like they did at that concert in the UK,…
And we have libtard media outlets like the Washed-all-up [Com]Post trying to make waves out of nothing.
I think it would be quite appropriate to inspect the tablets, wallets and purses of these so-called reporters, to see what they’ve got in their little hidden bags and pockets. Inspect those junk piles and then spread the news all over the internet.
How many of these wienies will run crying to the cops when they’re held up or assaulted on the street?
He should be wearing a CIB, CAB, or CAR for ducking sniper fire on the runway in….
Oh never mind my bad. I was thinking of that Sulphur reeking demon whore cankles McClinton.
Or that candyassed pus-nuts no-load Sparkle Pony Brian Williams.
Wonder how ballistic these jerks would go if they saw a former township constable in Pine Bluff wearing his dress blue uniform with four stars on it and his painted police SUV. Who gives a rat’s ass what these civilians wear on their uniforms, the shit is not real anyway. They have no problem with some dirt bag wearing stripes or a flag grade hat at a TV awards show but go on and on about pure bullshit. I will proudly wear my Army uniform tomorrow with its mix of Air Force (enlisted), Army WO, Army civilian and Coast Guard (awarded to auxiliarists) medals and awards; and dare some sorry sonofabitch to mutter one word of disrespect. Any more, E-9’s of various branches just look and figure me for the geezer I am.
I took the family to Arlington National Cemetery yesterday morning. I ran across a guy in USMC dress blues. I saw him earlier in the morning and got to approach him at Arlington House. Something not quite right about the lashup. The mixture of full sized Vietnam era campaign medals and the Army aircrew wings on NCO dress blues just didn’t ring quite right.
The sherriff on the other hand can sport what he likes on his uniform as he’s the boss. And it wasn’t military stuff.
