Saturday morning feel good stories

| December 24, 2016

Barbara Moles an 81-year-old Sultan, Washington woman was cleared of murder charges for the time last Spring when she shot and killed Steven Sheppard, 25, an intruder into her home who had a history of assaulting and robbing the elderly.

A gas station owner in Garland County, Arkansas shot Cody Willis, 23, in the face with a shotgun when Willis tried to rob the business. He’s recovering in the hospital, but he’ll probably be blind.

A thief tried to rob a Subway sandwich shop in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but he was thwarted by an armed and licensed employee who shot him. He was in stable condition at the hospital, last we heard.

In New Zealand, 77-year-old Jean Marais shot an intruder at his old age home. The crook was DRT (dead right there) when the police arrived.

Up in WA. Why did it take so long? The cops decided in August that it was justified and why did it take them that friggen long considering what happened and the guys record? It wasn’t because someone(s) were milking it until after the elections was it?

I think that, in this case, which is an absolute gem, there’s another explanation. The event occurred in April but the police investigation, for some inexplicable reason, did not conclude until August. It may well be that the police were waiting for the husband to recover for an interview. He had been stabbed and was in intensive care. The lady wanted privacy and, I suspect, the prosecutor, who concluded that the shooting was absolutely justified, honored that. The paper filed under the state’s FOIA and that’s how the lady’s name came to be slashed all over the place again and the event recounted. It is some kind of story. I’m sorry for the lady and her husband but, man oh man, did the dirtbag pick the wrong woman to mess with.

The investigation should not have taken longer once it was established that the scum bag had meth in his system and had forced his way into the house.

Tough crowd. Lab tests, a coroner’s report, and a homicide investigation require time and, in this case, as I pointed out, police may have had to wait for the husband to be sufficiently recovered for an interview. In the end, the perp, as the lady said, was deader than a mackerel and, one hopes, she and her family will be enjoying another Christmas together.

We are serious about protecting our lives, and our livelihoods. Yes, we will shoot you in the face, and it will hurt!

And now Cody’s blind in one eye and can’t see out of the other. That’s going to put a kink in any future robbery endeavors. hehehehehe
Maybe he needs to learn a new trade, like begging on the street corner for pocket change. Or “bobbing for coinage” behind the dumpster at the local truck stop.

NavyEODguy

DBW, sooner or later he will show up on TAH or some other SV site claiming “wounded warrior” status when he was blinded by an IED or some such.

Joe Mama

Remember, when your husband’s getting stabbed the police are just 9 minutes away.

AW1Ed

Trying to rob a Subway takes a special kind of stupid- getting shot in the attempt is just bonus.

Sparks

Shot in the face with a shotgun and still alive. Um…time to change back over from bird shot to double aught buck.

The oldster shooting a goblin at an old age home happened in South Africa, not New Zealand. South Africa is one of the most dangerous countries on the planet, hence the pistol in an old folks home. I would bet that pistols are as rare as hens teeth in NZ.
I know that the elderly go to nursing homes to die, but how often do the younger folks end up dying in old folks homes?

borderbill (a NIMBY/Banana)

These stories make for an even merrier Christmas.
