Straight white men
For an extraordinarily uninformed and angry section of our country, straight white men are the scourge.
In a rambling and incoherent profanity laced social media post, a Lynchburg, Virginia female school board member laid out her straight white man theory of all that is wrong with America. Her bottom line, straight white men are the source of all evil, which if placed up front would have saved my reviewing all of her f-bomb laced and borderline psychotic offering. If you desire, you may go read the pathetic and vulgar twaddle yourself. If you have children in the Lynchburg school system, you may want to consider who you have in charge of educating your children. That goes for the remainder of our country too.
I am not exactly sure what message she is communicating by disparaging “straight white men.” But I will assure you that if the target of her rant was any group other than white men, she would be in hiding for fear of her life. To see one group singled out in society and blamed for all that is wrong is eerily reminiscent of Nazi treatment of Jews. As a product of their ignorance, it is these people who so readily label straight white men as Nazis. Do they want to march us off to concentration camps? Eradicate us from the face of the earth? From her dissertation, it appears she would enjoy turning on the showers. I am no angel and I have greatly disliked some people, but I have never felt the level of hatred for anyone or group that this woman expresses. Sadly, she is not the lone ranger. The same faux “rage” is fermenting across our media platforms and stoked by players who want to see America destroyed – straight white men and everyone else.
I am straight which means, I presume, that I align with the social and cultural norms that established the foundation of our country and which have been under constant assault for decades. I am also Christian and white. I live in redneck country, although I am not sure if rednecks and straight white men are the same evil. I respect the flag of our country and the sacrifice of the men and women who, from our beginning, have kept it flying and the rest of us free. I stand and face my flag or the music when I hear the Star Spangled Banner. I stand for the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America. I also stand for the Army Song. I believe in the right to keep and bear arms and I do. I read the Bible most days. Might I recommend it to you? The Founder’s Bible and The American Patriot’s Bible are laced with historical articles showing the influence of Judeo-Christian values on the founding of our country and our government. If you are a former member of the Lynchburg School Board I also recommend this item in case while reading your head explodes. I do not support abortion. I do believe that marriage is between one man and one woman. I believe the Ten Commandments are not the ten suggestions. I believe in our Constitutional Republic. I believe in following the law. I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies foreign and domestic. The oath has no expiration date. In some minds, I alone make up a whole basket full of deplorables.
I served much of my life in the Army. I served with straight white men and probably some not so straight, but who chose to keep their sex lives private. What a novelty that is these days. I also served with straight white women, straight Black men and women, straight Hispanic men and women, straight Asian men and women, straight American Indian men and women and likely some not so straight from all of those groups, Atheists, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists….and probably some categories I left out. Most of them were apolitical. As serving members and Veterans, they comprise a tiny, tiny minority of Americans.

Very few of the people I served with gave a rat’s rear end about your color, gender, sexual persuasion, religion or any other identifier of the day. What they cared about was a common purpose and whether or not they could depend on you when it counted. Some of them could out cuss a Lynchburg School Board member but rarely directed it at one of their brotherhood or sisterhood. I actually lived in the tolerant and accepting utopia liberals like our school board member seem to pine for. Maybe the brotherhood and sisterhood utopia I knew has been harmed by recent year’s social engineering intending to add the same divisions into the Armed Services, but I offer that you will not walk into any US military unit and find a mindset that says to improve we must eradicate some group or another unless they are a threat to what they vowed in their oaths to defend. It is a mindset that continues when one leaves the service.
Our country began losing its common purpose many years ago. Sadly, our school board member and many like her have another common purpose in mind. To achieve it, they apparently believe they need to rid the place of straight white men. Her spoken desire is for a society is actually the bigoted and intolerant one she professes to deplore. She is just too filled with hatred and stupidity to realize it.

Ever since election day, my sister has been on a rampage. Every time Trump says or does something, she seems to blame ME. Right now, if there was an expedition to another planet, I’d go into debt to make sure she got a first-class seat!
I guess I was supposed to be insulted and enraged by her targeted insults, after all, I am a straight, white male. All I really felt was sadness that a supposedly educated woman could hold such a narrow minded, even bigoted view. Once again, we see the true colors of the inclusive, liberal left. In one book I read titled “Redneck Heaven”, the Author gave at least two origins of the word “Redneck”. First was during Revolutionary War times when a Redneck was someone who and a falling out with The Church of England, the second from a Coal Miners’ strike in the early 1900s. During that strike the company brought in blacks, Italians, Greeks and Irishmen as replacements, each group eventually joining the picket lines. There were many from different races and nationalities but the common thing they all had was a red kerchief around their necks and “Redneck” was used to describe one who would put their foot down, stand and fight for what’s right with a “Damn the Consequences” attitude. To me “Redneck” is a state of mind and I wear the title as proudly as I do “racist” every time some booger-head liberal flower monkey calls me that!

API – the explanation I always heard was that the moniker came from the fact that farmers and ranchers, construction workers, etc. all had a permanent sunburn on the backs of their necks from working outside.
They were, therefore, red-necks.

I should have written “English Colonial Times” when the Crown required Colonists to abide by The Church of England, likely what led to the writing of the First Amendment.
I did eight years in the Air Force after my Army stint. In my last year the “Race Relations” classes were just starting up. Which we affectionately called, “Watermelon U.” We’d sit and listen to a black Buck Sergeant tell us about where all the derogatory words came from and what they meant. Younger whites were usually talked over or down, while blacks were allowed to say what they wanted. Midway through the first class I along with several other white NCOs got up and left. The black instructor told us we wouldn’t get credit for the class and most of us just said something to the effect of, “Well what are you going to do, send us back to Vietnam?” I reported back to my First Shirt and gave him the run down and he returned me to duty and showed I had completed the course. My point is I listened to half a dozen black Airmen tell me (from the mountains of North Carolina) what Redneck meant and how it was okay for them to use it and okay for them to use the “N’ word among themselves but not for others. All we other more senior NCOs had the same look on our face before we left at the coffee break and talked about it. Most of these guys were malcontents in their squadrons with shaving wavers and anything else they could get over with but didn’t serve towards the common goal of their outfits. Supervising them was becoming near impossible with the new “Race Relations” office on base which became their “safe space” to run to. One of the big reasons I left when I did.

I hate to say it, but the straight white man between 18-50 is the most hated minority these days.
It is tough to get ahead if you are not “diverse”.
That’s the damned truth! It doesn’t matter that straight white men are to credit for much of this nation’s and the world’s success and progress. It only matters that one is a non contributing queer or of color. If you are the latter, the new world liberal order will lay the world at your feet. If you are the former, well just shut up, sit down, get back to work and keep paying those taxes.

I can certainly understand this feeling because I get damned tired of hearing how white men are the woe of civilization, but I’d argue that it’s really a vocal minority that pushes this hate. And they push it because, for a variety of reasons, white men actually do have it better than many other groups. Not in all cases, mind you, but in the broadest sense there’s still some advantage to being white.
(Note: I’m not arguing whether that’s good, bad or indifferent, or the many reasons why that might be, just pointing out that there is a benefit.)
Basically, it’s important to see both sides in this – study after study has shown that a white man, with the same exact resume as a black man or a woman (just for two examples), has a better chance of getting a job, getting a loan, etc. There is a bias. The other side of the issue is that that doesn’t mean an individual white man is doing anything wrong, and it’s wrong to discriminate against him for being white. Just as wrong as any other discrimination. And preferential hiring of non-white minorities (or whatever else) does exactly that.
It’s interesting how people such as Poore keep trotting out the whole jack-booted Nazi thing because their girl Hillary lost the election.
What never seems to be mentioned is that during the desperate hours of the 1940s, it was mostly white guys who paid the price fighting real Nazis with real jack boots so that Poore can run her suck. Something she herself would likely be unwilling to do.
The fact that the Left regards straight white males as the enemy is not news. The “womens’ studies” and various “multicultural studies” departments at colleges nationwide have been teaching effectively that for at least the past 2 decades, and probably the last 3.
