Wednesday morning feel good stories
A homeowner in Miami-Dade County, Florida shot and wounded an intruder inside his home to protect his wife and two children. Another article says that the criminal was shot through the door as he was trying to break in and that he’s in critical condition. The video at that link reports that both the husband and his wife are licensed to be armed in Florida.
Top Kone sends us a link about a story that happened in Cleveland, Ohio, a 68-year-old heard noises while he was in bed, so he got up to confront the two thieves in his house. They charged him and he responded with a pair of gun shots. When police arrived, they found one of the crooks who was DRT (dead right there) in the kitchen. 19-year-old Antwuan Williams, the accomplice, is facing murder charges for the death of his pal.
A 21-year-old was lured to a residence in Indianapolis, Indiana with the promise of good lovin’, but instead a 14-year-old with a gun robbed him. Police say that the man shot the teen in self-defense. The teen was DOT (dead over there) at the hospital.
A homeowner in Calallen, Texas, scared off a burglar with gun fire. Police aren’t sure if the thief was struck by the gunfire, but they’re monitoring local hospitals in case he shows up.
A firefighter in Santa Fe, New Mexico stopped a burglar from stealing his firefighting gear at shotgun point when he caught the thief in the early morning hours.
In Albuquerque, New Mexico, three men tried to carjack a couple. The man shot at the trio, hitting one while other two ran off. The wounded criminal is in critical condition.
Yesterday, we mentioned a burglar in Sunrise, Florida who was shot by a homeowner. Today we get the sad news that his condition has changed to DOT (dead over there).

AS TO (see what I did there?) the unfortunate fellow in Sunrise Florida, should the commemorative flowers, balloons and Teddy Bears be placed at the location where he was shot, or the hospital where he died? Maybe Miss Manners will be able to answer that one.
Save the money and send them to someone that deserves them instead. Given the number of aged vets in Florida, it’s a cinch that occasionally one dies without known family.
“..should the commemorative flowers, balloons and Teddy Bears be placed at the location where he was shot, or the hospital where he died?”
Use em to pack his body cavities and plug the bullet holes to prevent seepage at the funeral.
Buy a gift card for Golden Corral and send it to the shooter.
Re the Sunrise Fla story; “sad” news as in he was DOT vs DRT??
Yes. Just think of all the resources wasted trying to save his worthless life. Range time people. DRTs waste fewer resources than DOTs.

…Antwuan? Was Antoine too unoriginal for them? Sheesh…
You mean you don’t speak “ebonics?”
Nope, I get by a bit in redneck, but ebonics is beyond me. Fortunately redneck, like duct tape, is more useful in my life.
