Nelash Mohamed Das and support for ISIS

| October 4, 2016

AW1Ed sends us a link to the story of Nelash Mohamed Das, from Bangladesh, but living in Hyattsville, Maryland, right outside our nation’s capitol. The feds have charged him with providing material support to ISIS and planning to kill a member of the US military.

“The danger posed by Mr. Das during this investigation was very real. He was committed to carrying out an attack against a military member,” said Special Agent in Charge Gordon B. Johnson of the FBI’s Baltimore Division. “Through our proactive investigative stance, we were able to ensure the citizens of Maryland were protected. The covert nature of the defendant’s alleged actions is a stark reminder of the challenges we face in preventing attacks, and underscores the critical need for those with knowledge about terror plots to come forward.”

According to the affidavit filed in support of the criminal complaint, Das was admitted to the United States in 1995 and is a legal permanent resident.

The affidavit alleges that from September 28, 2015 to early 2016, Das used social media to express his support for ISIL, including support for terrorist attacks in Paris, France, and San Bernardino, California.

On October 26, 2015, Das tweeted the name of an individual and the city where they lived, stating that the individual “aspires to kill Muslims.” Das knew that the individual hoped to become a member of the U.S. military. ISIL members and supporters have posted identifying information about United States military personnel in hopes that those inspired by ISIL would carry out attacks against them. The affidavit alleges that Das was advertising the individual’s identity and whereabouts in order to inspire violence against that individual.

Das shared his plan with a federal informant who helped him buy inert weapons from the Feds. Then they arrested him. Luckily. This fighting terrorism with law enforcement works well. Except when it doesn’t.

Whatever rifle they provided should have been really rigged. With no magazine inserted, charging & pulling the trigger it acts normal. However, when a magazine is inserted & round in chamber it is “rerouted” to a firing circuit with about a half pound charge in the stock. Only gets to pull the trigger one time & loses his friggin’ head.

Why waste time & taxpayer dollars. Let the goatphucker off himself.

I think they did something like this in ‘Nam – replacing the powder in a cartridge with C4. It would drive the bolt back into the Cong’s head – self elimination works.

David

just load the cartridge to the neck with Bullseye or 700X. Receiver would split before the bolt exited, though.

Try him, then deport him PERMANENTLY with a rope around his neck!!

“Through our proactive investigative stance, we were able to ensure the citizens of Maryland were protected.” Dafuq is that gibberish? “On July 23, 2016, Das told the source that he wanted to kill a particular military member who lived in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and WHOSE IDENTIFYING INFORMATION DAS OBTAINED THE PRIOR YEAR FROM A LIST POSTED ONLINE BY ISIL.” (Caps mine)

The list of names is still out there. This, I believe, prompted an alert last year to military and dependents. One day, I fear, another of these Muslim terrorist bastards will not post shit online or seek a fellow traveler before he acts. Vigilance at all times.

Doug

It’s only a matter of time before we run out of dumb bastards to catch, and what we will be left with is the ones who know how to carry out an attack and keep their mouths shut. Low hanging fruit like this guy, though I’m grateful he was stopped, is really only the tip of the iceberg.

A pastor of my acquaintance has posted a number of sermons against Islam on-line.

On 9/11, the men in their little church observed an unknown man of apparent middle-Eastern descent enter the service late, spend an inordinate amount of time looking out the window, and leave early. He has not visited a 2nd time and spoke to no-one.

He may have noticed that a number of the church members took positions around the sanctuary where they could observe him. This being Texas, yes they have CHLs and use them. Including the pastor and his wife.

Now, I’m not saying that this is the case, but just if this mysterious visitor was thinking about doing something to celebrate 9/11 he may have figured out that he’d go to hell before he sent any church members home to Jesus.

Constant vigilance at all times in all places.

For each report that another one bites the dust, there are probably 10 or more already waiting in line to take his place without announcing their intentions.

And how is Daesh getting info on military personnel to post in the first place? Who is leaking it? Why isn’t that stopped already?

nousdefions

Probably from selfies taken in the recruiter’s office and posted to social media.

Mods: I accidentally hit report instead of reply. Please disregard.

Ex-PH2

If that’s the case, with all that is going on, the recruiters should know better by now.

Graybeard

Probably the recruits themselves.
And with different units having, for instance, Facebook pages it’s not too hard to find folks in the military and then trace their user accounts to locate them.

Not sure who said it, but it applies here, “We have to be lucky 100% of the time, our enemies have to lucky only once.”
