Border patrol agents attacked: Shooter killed
A gunman with tactical gear fired on Border Patrol agents as they arrived at their annex facility in McAllen, Texas. Together with local police, the agents returned fire. The shooter ended up getting killed. Local law enforcement believe that this was a deliberate attempt targeting immigration agents. This shooting comes after the Friday shooting of a Texas police offer near an ICE detention facility.

An active shooter armed with tactical gear and a rifle opened fire upon Border Patrol agents as they arrived at a Border Patrol annex facility in McAllen, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley on Monday.
Agents and local police returned fire and killed the gunman. No federal agents were hit, but one McAllen police officer was struck. Law enforcement sources say the officer is in stable condition.
“This morning an individual opened fired at the entrance of the United States Border Patrol sector annex in McAllen, Texas. Both Border Patrol agents and local police helped neutralize the shooter,” the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement to Fox News. “This is an ongoing investigation led by the FBI. More information will be shared as it becomes available.”
Law enforcement believes the attack was a purposeful ambush targeting Border Patrol officials. Local police say they will hold a news conference on the attack later Monday.

Wondering if the shooter was inspired by that idiot politician from Los Angeles County last week? The Left was quick to say that Sarah Palin inspired the shooter of Gabrielle Giffords for publishing a map with targets on key battlegrounds. But this is completely different, the story will be buried by the Mainstream Media like they just did with the Minnesota assassin.
It was a mostly peaceful and very empathetic attempted mass shooting.

The legacy (already irrelevant, soon to be defunct left wing) media hasn’t really covered this much. Not nearly as much as Kyle Rittenhouse or SGT Daniel Perry who are household names now.
The other officer shot was an Alvarado Police Officer who was shot by someone wearing tactical gear with a group of armed people who were vandalising DHS vehicles @2300.
