Gregory Allen pleads guilty

| July 29, 2016

Gregory Allen

More than a year ago, we first wrote about Gregory Allen who pretended to be a wounded Marine in Marin County, California when he was busted by our buddy, Dan Noyes at KGO ABC7. Dan reports that, after pleading not guilty last year, Allen changed his plea to guilty yesterday in exchange for a sentence of three years probation.

or 10 years, Greg Allen had so many people fooled that he was a drill instructor, a special forces Marine, a sniper with two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. On Thursday, he finally admitted in court that he lied.

The 69-year-old did not comment as he left court after pleading guilty to the stolen valor charge. But his attorney told the I-Team’s Dan Noyes that Allen is sorry for misleading so many people.

“And I think they have every right to be very upset,” said Charles Dresow. “And I think Greg feels very badly about that and understands completely why people are upset with him, why people will never talk to him again.”

Allen admitted in court to using a phony Purple Heart to raise $23,000 from people who thought they were giving to a war hero. Allen helped run Marin County veterans groups and owned a San Rafael gym called the “House of Steel”, for anyone from soccer moms to young men interested in the military.

Allen had never served in the Marine Corps, but he had been in the Navy for less than a year.

Dan Noyes’ son, on the other hand, joined the Marine Corps last year and just left on his first permanent assignment after his initial training.

PROBATION?!?!? WTF?!?!?

Well i read the end of the article….

“Allen could have received a year in prison, but both sides agreed to just three years’ probation. (BOOOOO!) The judge says Allen will have to pay back the money he raised with that phony persona, ($23,000) before he pays a fine to be determined at a hearing in November. (OK better, kick him in the wallet AGAIN!) Allen is now working at an East Bay tire store. (Schmuck)

Claw

Working at an East Bay tire store.

Hope they have him working in the medium/heavy truck bay playing grunt with the split rings on 10.00×20 Deuce and a half tires and not working the customer service desk where he can start up with his Bullshit again at the drop of a hat.

26Limabeans

And don’t let him use a cage while inflating those split ring mounted tires.

Be interesting to see what this phony bastard says when he faces his son the REAL MARINE!

Dapandico

Repo man for Rent to Roll.

A Proud Infidel®™

IMHO he seems more like a Used Car Salesman, he has the ethics of a crooked one, the type who would sell some E1 a 25 year old klunker for twice what it’s worth with 25-40% interest on the loan!

Mick

I hope that this assclown runs into a real MARSOC sniper while he’s out stumbling around on probation.

greg allen: Lying little weasel fucker…

SSgt John F., USMC

Nice words indeed for the guy who was fucking weasels and lying to them about grandeur.

His son should bitch slap him when he finishes ITR and goes home with REAL EGA’s pinned on.

Pops is a piece of shit son.

Hondo

Sounds like you misread the article above. It was Dan Noyes son who is the Marine, not Allen’s. Don’t know if Allen even has any kids.

Noyes is the guy who publicly “busted” Allen – and it’s not the first guy Noyes has busted for Stolen Valor. Dan is indeed one of the good guys working in the media today.

Thanks again, Mr. Noyes.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Greggy-poo should be in the local poundhimintheassjail for his bullshit. Dip shit will step on his crank real soon again.

Fuck you Greg Allen, you two-hole, taint tickling, manhole inspecting, peter puffing, Stolen Valor ass clown!

MrBill

Not only has he been publicly shamed, but he now has the lifetime stain of a criminal conviction, which is more than many valor thieves receive. So while he could have been hit harder, this is satisfying. Kudos again to Dan Noyes for his work.

Just An Old Dog

Mr Bill,
He already did some time in the 90s for drugs, bbreakjing and entering his exes house and other shit. He got off easy. I guess the judge was thinking more about having him pay restitution, which would be harder for him to do if he was locked up.
Allen’s name is dirt now with the local veteran community, so chances are he wont be able to pull it again. At least not there. Alas cocksuckers are always cocksuckers, the son of a boitch could always move to Nebraska.

Hondo

Yep. Pretty sure at least one of his priors was a felony conviction, if I recall correctly.

Ex-PH2

I want to know that he actually DOES pay back the money he scammed out of people.

I must be getting really cynical about this whole ‘vet charity’ thing, because I’d give money to an animal shelter before I’d donate a cent to most of them.

MrBill

He’s on probation for three years, so the court should retain the power to lower the boom on him if he fails to make the required restitution.

David

most mangy strays deserve help. This clown doesn’t.

(disclaimer – if we ever had a pure-bred we wouldn’t know what to do…. we do shelter mutts with more mixed ancestry than we have.W Which is saying some.)

jarhead

C’mon now Ex…You softee!!!! You know as well as we do if someone fed you a good line of B S about donating money to an organization for wayward and abused cats, you’d be pouring the $ out even if you had to write a bad check. Cat Lovers Lives Matter.

Perry Gaskill

Good on Dan Noyes for doing a folo on Greg Allen. TAH has seen its share of the truly twisted slouch through the posts, and Allen is one of the nastier examples.

Smaj

He’s sorry alright. Sorry he got caught and a sorry POS.

B Woodman

“Allen is sorry for misleading so many people.”

Yeah. Sure. Only sorry that he got caught.

clamsgotlegs

Scams $23K and gets probation? WTF?!?!?!

ex-OS2

Cocksucker. Go fuck yourself Gregory Allen you phony fuck.

NR Pax

I feel even worse for his son having to live with this.

Just An Old Dog

NR, I don’t think he has a son, at least one that was mentioned. Greg Noyes, the investigative reporter who bagged this clown has a son who is serving.

streetsweeper

Dan Noyes…

Just An Old Dog

Mea Culpa, Yes Dan, not Greg.

Mark RM1 USN ret.

What a steamy pile of ? He and Joseph Rice are in the same league.

Green Thumb

That would be a steaming pile of Phil Monkress.

Allen is a turd.

A Proud Infidel®™

Gregory Allen, THE GOOGLE is with you!

SidneyBroadshead

Big Box retail stores don’t have a Stolen Valor movement. Allen will probably take off all the Marine pins on his snazzy red jacket and pretend to be an Executive Manager at Target or a Floorwalker at True Value Hardware.

Mark Lauer

Good for his son. Maybe he will remove the stink his father has put on his family’s name.
I wish him my best.

Hondo

ML – it’s Noyes’ son who in the USMC. Noyes is the guy who busted Allen, and is definitely one of the media’s good guys.

jarhead

Too bad the judge didn’t have a sense of humor and make him change the name of his gym from “House of Steel” to “House of Steal”!

So now he’s gonna sell used tires???? Does anyone know why used tire salesmen have to wear slip-on shoes? Because it takes an I Q of at least FOUR to tie shoe laces.

Just An Old Dog

The Gym went tits up as soon as he got busted. From what I gather the entire schtick for his gym was he was helping teens get ready to go in the service.
He really played that up and got people to kick in via fundraisers. He liked playing the DI. even though his workouts were idiotic and even dangerous.
The jig was up as soon as he was outed.

FatCircles0311

So he got out of a felony with probation after committing fraud for years?

IN-FUCKING-JUSTICE!

Just An Old Dog

I wonder if there is a seperate investigation going on with the VA. IIRC the cock-knocker had a VA card with a Marine Corps Emblem on it.
Since he was never in the Corps, I would think he got it by passing off fraudulent documents to the VA.

Jasper Demarini

Unfortunately Jesus didn’t come down to say that Greg Allen was a fake, but the US Attorney is doing just that. Several veterans were in court on Friday to see Allen finally face the federal charge, a misdemeanor that carries a maximum year in prison and $100,000 fine.
