BTW, Claw (and Mrs Claw) and 3/17 are fantastic folks. Had a great day solving all the world’s problems and will go look for bears in Yellowstone tomorrow. Feel like I have known these folks for ages. Thanks for TAH.

I have two situations that require the assistance of The Usual Suspects that frequent TAH.
First question is what is the name of the bar/tavern in Montgomery County MD that barred Psaul from coming back? I have a project that I am working on, and I need the name of that establishment.
The second call for help involves anyone skilled at setting up a Jeopardy type game. A while back, I told Jonn that I was working on a stolen valor trivia game, and I have all of the categories, and a pretty good idea on what answers would go into each square, but I don’t have the skills to pull it off by myself. If a Jeopardy type game won’t work, we can always make an online quiz with multiple answers. If you could assist me, hit me up on FaceBook, or drop me an email. I am okay if Jonn passes on my contact information.
Try searching for “teacher resources jeopardy game”. My bride has found some useful things for her elementary classroom with similar searching. I don’t know if any of them will translate to a web-based app, but it’ll get you started.

Maduro is begging the other OAS members to not abandon him, but not getting a lot of support. The oil-based Latin American economies are slowly going bankrupt and their ‘leaders’ are gradually losing their grip on the seats of power. Brazil’s Dilma Rouseff has been deposed. It almost appears that Maduro (Venezuela) is next.

In other news, Vlad Putin has been casting a greedy eye on Poland again, probably because the Polish economy is doing better than Russia’s. In addition, severe flooding in France has practically shut down Paris and surrounding towns, as well as impacting cities in Spain, Germany, the UK and Italy. In Paris, the feet of the statue of Zouave are covered by the rising waters of the Seine. I’d say the only high-and-dry land in Paris right now is Ile de la Cite where le Catedrale de Notre Dame is located.

My thought is that having been in the Marines doesn’t trump showing professionalism at work.
If I was on a probationary period I wouldn’t be screaming and cursing and posting stuff to Facebook.
Tman. Since no one is saying why his contract was terminated, it is ripe fodder to conclude that it was because he lowered the flag. In fact, as you point out, it could be that the FB post was the reason. Moreover, we are not told whether the flag HAD BEEN lowered and subsequently raised after the noon in accordance with the noon protocol. In any event, nothing suggest that he went through before taking the action he did, however well intended. Maybe if he had requested that the flag be lowered, he would have gotten it lowered or or told about the protocol. Like you, I can’t get on this bandwagon, at least w/o more info.
2/17 Air Cav, I agree more info is needed but what I get from the article was that he started making a scene cursing and whatnot before posting the incident on Facebook.
The guy himself admitted that he should have done things differently.
Whatever the reason, you just can’t go off like that on a job and not face repercussions especially on a probationary period.
We picked the wrong weekend to comeback to the oven but I have to see the doc on Monday.
Today’s high here at the house was 114, yesterday it was 113, forecast for tomorrow is 115
We’ll be back on the mountain on Tuesday the forcast or da high is supposed to be 73
