Saturday morning feel good stories
A 94-year-old Seattle, Washington man who lives alone shot an intruder in his home. The intruder was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. An update to the story reports that the thief was DOT (dead over there) at the hospital, done in by single round center mass. Us old guys can’t fight with you – we just shoot, it’s much easier.
In Levittown, Pennsylvania, a criminal tried to rob a local pharmacy. He jumped the counter pointing his shotgun at the clerk. The clerk responded with a bullet. The crook was DRT (dead right there) when the police arrived. His getaway driver didn’t get away very well, and he’s been arrested, too. Donny sends another link that says the pharmacy clerk fired about a dozen rounds.
In Beaumont, Texas, an armed Adrian Glenn, 26, and his pal tried to rob a fellow who was just leaving the Taqueria El Paraiso. Unfortunately for them, they picked a fellow who was licensed to carry a concealed weapon. The police took Adrian to the hospital while they’re still looking for his friend.
A thief in Baltimore, Maryland, tried to rob a high school student who didn’t want to be a victim – a struggle for control of the gun ensued. The thief had a negligent discharge and shot himself. The intended victim was found by the police in control of the handgun and the thief had disappeared, but police are certain that he’ll turn up for medical treatment.

HA! Love it. From one coast to the other, from one extreme (single shot) to the other (a dozen rounds fired). But both ended the same way, with a “D” (DOT/DRT) perp. Good shooting, one and all.
And BTW, I don’t fault the pharmacy clerk one bit. Someone points a shotgun at you, that barrel opening is going to look like the Holland Tunnel. You’re going to throw as much lead downrange as fast as possible to make it go away.

Ol’ farts have no business trying to fight off a threat. We are better off just putting rounds into their head and chest. 3 of the 4 incidents in today’s post have armed citizens protecting their lives and goods from those who would take them.
It’s like I keep saying: don’t mess with us old farts. We’re cranky… and unpredictable.
