Wednesday morning feel good stories
AW1Ed sends us our first story this morning from Mount Vernon, Washington, where a homeowner saw an armed man walking slowly towards his home with a car driving slowly next to him in an ominous manner. The homeowner warned the man away, but he kept approaching the home. The resident then pulled out his gun and fired at the man, who jumped back in the car and drove off with his two partners. The police were called to the home where they found the man with a brand new chest hole. They took him to the hospital where he was declared DOT (dead over there).
In Southhaven, Mississippi, Memphis police officer Brian Falatko was relaxing with his family at home when David Clinton Praytor made the bad choice to force his way into the home. Officer Falatko ventilated Praytor who was treated at the nearby hospital and released to his new digs at the Shelby County Jail without bail. Another story says that the officer shot Praytor in the shoulder and then carried his kids away from the scene to call for local police.
From Chattanooga, Tennessee, another armed inebriated home invading sot is foiled with a frying pan.

I want you all to know that I’m sick of these armed homeowners!! We need to get rid of the guns, so that there is less gun violence. Also, we would have less hospitalizations at the taxpayer expense with wounded people that aren’t hurting anyone! If we get rid of the guns, we get rid of gun violence. Why can’t you mouthbreathers see that!?
Ok, now that I got that off my chest. Really, people, we need more range time, so that there are less dollars spent on treating wounded criminals. It’s cheaper to bury them than to have them spending days in the hospital. Then you have incarceration costs, court costs, etc. Story #1 shows that it can be done.
DITTO what OT said, but I still get a kick out of hearing when the goblin gets beaten, I hope she used a cast iron pan on him!
If it was cast iron she took it easy on him. One of those can take your head clean off with the right amount of swing behind it.
Another Indiana Jones replay! Don’t mess with ANYONE that’s got a cast-iron skillet.
Reminds me of a story. One of our Revervists was mobilized in Texas teaching marksmanship training several years ago.
He was renting a house at the time and woke up when he heard a brick come through his kitchen window. He got up without turning on the lights on, grabbed his personal weapon and went downstairs to investigate.
When he entered the kitchen the perp had climbed through the broken window and had stood up. He put three center mass into the burglar.
Our CG wanted more info on the indident so I contacted the Police to get a report. The officer I spoke to assured me there would be no charges as it was a justified shooting.
He told me off the record that despite it being dark the shot grouping was 3 or 4 inches of each other and the perp had a record of previous break ins, mostly stealing from elderly people.
He also said our guy should get a medal and a box of bullets for taking this guy out of the gene pool.
Cast iron is the way to go. Had she gotten him with cast iron, he’d likely have been DRT.
I carry several cast iron skillets in the RV. When we’re parked, at least one is on the stovetop at all times, just in case we can’t get to the bang sticks or are traveling through a gun-hating state.
So far, no state legislator is screaming to regulate cast iron…
