Timothy Koch fined for falsely claiming to have served in Afghanistan
The Australian ABC reports that folks down there busted Timothy Koch who was pretending to be a veteran of the Australian forces in Afghanistan. It looks like he had been in the Army, but injured himself before he could deploy.
His lawyer, Rachael Shaw, said Koch was deeply ashamed of his actions.
“My client has been the subject of considerable attention because of this and has been fearful of coming to court,” Ms Shaw said.
She said Koch had “become the town pariah” and his Army cadet friends had disowned him.
“He has punished himself considerably for this,” she said.
“At no stage has he tried to excuse his behaviour at all.
“My client has been punished enough for this offending, there is no risk of reoffending.”
Obviously, the judge didn’t think he’d been punished enough, so he was fined $1000.

Enjoy sleeping in the bed you made, Koch. Hope you had to borrow the money to pay the fine.
We are an embarrassment.
No, I take that back, our leftist soft legal community at the state and federal levels who will not address this issue here in our United States, are an embarrassment.
I guess shaming them in public and on the Internet is our only real recourse.
Of course there are SOME exceptions, where courts and prosecutors do charge Stolen Valor violators with crimes and make them pay somehow but those are few and far between.
I guess something is better than nothing.
🙁
This turd is so ghey.
He needs to work on color coordinating his medals.
He does the greater alternative community a huge disservice with his sloppiness and lack of attention to pattern.
Queef.
Punished enough my ass! They mean he has been embarrassed enough! Or so he thinks. How about a big letter P on his forehead for the rest of his life? Once this passes, he will be up to some other scam. People who stoop to this level have no shame, as we all know. It would be good to see a list of what all of us individually and personally deemed ENOUGH. Let me start with his license plate reading PHONY HERO for the rest of his life. Other than something like that, he will be back to his old con games within months. When you disrespect those who have served, ESPECIALLY those who made the ultimate sacrifice, there is no limit to what you should suffer as a life of lies. The license plate would of course follow him being a bitch for Bubba and Thor, maybe a year or so.

Lemme guess, serving in Afghanistan was just the start of his stories, not the end of them.
Maybe things work differently down under, but one wonders how difficult it could really have been to simply volunteer for Afghanistan.
I sent the Timothy an invite to come over here and barrel race with Dalton Coldiron. Dalton play nice and share your bunny with the nice Australian man, umkay?
SUGGESTION to the powers that be here on TAH: A “like” and “Dislike” button for comments displaying the numbers on each, JUST THINK of the fun we could have with trolls using that whenever we get one, something like “Bunny Fart” Coldiron would have a “Like 1 Dislike 50” while others that really hit one would have the opposite.

GOOD FOR THEM, they’re giving him part of what he deserves.
“He has punished himself considerably for this,” she said.”
OH REALLY? I think he’s slithering like he’s only sorry he got caught.
“At no stage has he tried to excuse his behaviour at all.
WTF? THERE IS NO EXCUSE for SV, PERIOD!
“My client has been punished enough for this offending, there is no risk of reoffending.”
*BING, BING, BING!*, BUUUUULLSHIIIIIIIT! Jeez-loo-weeze, her comments sound like the rehearsed responses of some politician running for office. One deserving punishment for Koch would be to spend a few days in a pillory with a sign next to him saying what he did as well as there being an ample supply of rotten cabbage, tomatoes and eggs nearby.
His lawyer’s statements read like those of Larry (aka The Weasel) Sims. Remember that letter?

So gullible.
Both sound like a lawer hell bent on defending his/her/its client down to his/her/its LAST DOLLAR!
and that, boys and girls, is why defense lawyers can make the big bucks, and earn all that respect they so richly deserve.
I remember that turd.
Larry Sims = Shitbag.
I smell All-Points Logistics for this turd in the future.
They need to expand down under.
Lori Benton would be proud.
I don’t get it with these ass nut’s. Why do they always have to have medals with civilian clothes. That is like look at me I am POS phony…
The economy is tough right now. Not every poser can afford an actual uniform…
I think this was ANZAC day. In Australia, Army pers aren’t allowed to drink in uniform. Navy and RAAF can, but Army can’t. I think that’s because the head shed thinks we’ll get shit faced and bring disrepute upon the uniform. They may have a point 🙂
Correction: remembrance day not ANZAC Day.
Medals on chivies is usually for special affairs. Former servicemen and women I believe are not allowed to wear their uniforms after leaving sotheir service. Could also be the uniforms no longer fit. Joe
Glad to know I’m not the only one who saw it from this perspective. Being proud of your having served is perfectly acceptable. But wearing badges & ribbons on civies screams ATTENTION WHORE to me. Times when I see veteran’s celebrations and events, I wonder just how damned many in the crowd are fakes. It’s difficult for me at church some times when they honor us old timers. Can’t explain the emotional side of it. But what always amazes the hell out of me are those who get up at the appropriate time and work the crowd of church-goers with slaps on the back and high fives. I have no problem with anyone who wants recognition during any of these events, but include me out.
There are evil men in this world. They should be hanged and rot in hell, along with their clients.
Succinctly put Roger. Might I add…by the balls, providing they have such.
He surely does not look ashamed in that photo where he looks like an asshole trying to act tough.
Looks like he plugged on an Infantry Combat Badge too…the tosser.
