Nine governors reject refugees

| November 16, 2015

According to the Huffington Post, the governors of Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi and Texas have said that they will not participate in the program of refugee resettlement in the Federal government’s plan to bring 65,000 to this country from the Middle East;

All of the governors cited the terrorist attacks in Paris, which the Islamic State, also called ISIS or Daesh, claimed credit for. Authorities found a Syrian passport near one of the suicide bombers there, although it has yet to be confirmed whether it belonged to the attacker, or whether it was stolen or a forgery. French authorities said the mastermind of the attacks was a Belgian man.

The attacks set off a backlash against Syrian refugees. In Europe, Poland’s future minister for European affairs said the country will not implement the European Union’s refugee plan in light of the attacks in Paris. In the U.S., calls to limit refugee admissions have come mostly from Republicans — many of whom had expressed concerns about admitting Muslims from Syria in the first place.

Obviously, those governors remember the example of Governor William Jefferson Clinton and the Mariel boatlift Cuban refugees in 1980. As many as 125,000 Cubans made their way to the US and Jimmy Carter put the more untrustworthy refugees at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas where Bill Clinton was the governor until the next election when he suffered defeat directly related to the Cuban refugees in Arkansas.

Of course, losing those Republican governors won’t deter this President, he doesn’t have to worry about reelection. He does, however have to save his legacy defined by his Nobel peace prize – you, know, despite whatever effect it will have on our national security.

I’m curious who has final say regarding this issue. Governors don’t get a say in federal immigration policy. Hard to imagine the Administration pressing this issue with recent events but stranger things have happened. This will probably be heading to the SCOTUS for final say if it becomes a pissing contest.

NavyEODguy

I don’t know how much water the argument would hold, but this is not immigration as defined by law. This falls under the refugee assistance program.

As far as them being forced on my state if I was gov. A big double fenced compound, with multiple layers of razor wire. Armed guards on the ground & in towers with orders to shoot to kill.

Tony180a

That will never happen. Once here they will have the same freedom of movement as anyone else. Those that come with bad intentions are counting on it.

desert

Hey….don’t forget Arizona! They don’t want them either and joined the group!

A Proud Infidel®™

Well gee whiz, we know that B. Hussein 0bama doesn’t give two hoots of a ratshit flying fuck about what anyone else wants, all he cares about is his agenda, running the USA into the ground as fast and hard as he can. He hasn’t been able to stir up racial hatred and animosity as much as he and his party want to thus they’re importing as many uneducated goat-raping muslim fleabags as they can in as little time possible hoping they start shit like they’ve done in Europe.

Ex-PH2

I’m waiting to see the results of this head-butting contest.

Escaped horse. Barn door. You know the rest.

Tony180a

Congress is probably enacting legislation even as we speak to give them a broader say in this matter. Hmmm Who the Fuck am I kidding. This is something that we can’t get wrong. These guys (ISIS, Al Qaeda etc.) are not dumb. Some have been trained by some of the best Intelligence services in the world. They understand how to use cutouts setting up networks and clandestine communications. It at least deserves a debate.

NavyEODguy

But Tony. For congress to take action there has to be a leader. Haven’t seen one of them in quite some time.

Ryan is going to be nothing but a ball-cup per for obamadinejad. Nothing new in DC.

Tony180a

NavyEODguy you are spot on regarding congress. This Administration and Congress can’t tell Det Cord from Time Fuse. Here’s a hint… one burns a hell of a lot faster than the other.

2/17 Air Cav

Well, there are a couple of ways to look at this. The states can refuse to accept whatever the feds send their way but will face a federal court order which they then can obey or not. The other approach is to send the refugees to the BLUE STATES, in the order in which their votes went to Scrotum Shaver.

2/17 Air Cav

Can you imagine Scrotum Shaver calling out troops to enforce a court order? That, I think, would do it. If what he wants is blood, that should do it.

DefendUSA

Jonn,
I just spent the last 30 minutes being harassed for my “lack of compassion.” Mwhahaha. If people can just remember that Liberalism loves a bleeding heart rather than a beating heart, we would all have less stress. Good for these governors. Wish mine would get on board. I mean, I know that the Pied Piper has “contained” ISIS and his strategy is working–according to him. #notme #closetheborders #sendthemhome

MSG Eric

Simple Response to liberals about refugees:

Okay, how many are you going to feed, clothe, house, and send to school from your own money and living in your own house?

Green Thumb

Easy.

None.

Reb

Since I’m so over protective of my family and friends, I wouldn’t allow one in my house.
We have businesses that are run by people from the middle east and I don’t know how they really feel about us. Their very polite, ask how’s your family and I still can’t find it in my heart to invite them to dinner. Am I paranoid or what?

valerie

Some people would call it situational awareness.

This weekend I saw a woman out and about wearing a niqab — the bandit mask. She was in a parking lot, and when she got into her SUV, she took it off.

A bandit mask is a purposeful message, and the message is neither “I am religious” nor “I am a person of good will.”

A Proud Infidel®™

I don’t think you are Reb, I’ve done two tours in the ME and I’m the same way!! 😀

Reb

PROUD, thanks for your post. I don’t feel foolish for not trusting those who are here from ME after reading your post ?

Ex-PH2

Geez, you got hounded for ‘lack of compassion’?

So you’re not allowed to have your own opinion any more?

I’m with MSG Eric: how many are of the ‘refugees’ (and I use that term loosely) are those bleeding hearts going to put up as guests in their homes?

LC

I’m late to this thread, so this’ll likely get buried, but you asked a question that I can’t answer in the collective, but I’ll answer for myself: I would absolutely take in a refugee.

Not because I’m a ‘bleeding heart’ liberal, but because if I was fleeing from violence and war I’d hope to find shelter somewhere too. Is there a risk? Hmm, maybe? But we’ll disagree greatly on the size of it. Somewhere in the vast number of refugees may be some bad actors, but the vast majority are simply people in need. For me, it’s a conscious choice to do what I feel is morally right rather than letting fear dictate my actions.

defendUSA

I am no xenophobe. What I want is for these refugees to go through very rigorous vetting in comparison to someone from Austria or Vietnam, because we KNOW it is a war-torn nation riddled with people seeking to kill for the sake of killing and nothing else. Jeff Duncan, the Homeland security dude, already admitted it’s going to be impossible to properly vet people because of lack of documents from their side having been lost in the war.

If asked, I would take in a refugee, but I will not volunteer, just to volunteer. Keep in mind, “families” are not the majority of the ones migrating. It is mostly young, military aged males.

LC

I understand – and I’m certainly not saying anyone disagreeing with me is a xenophobe. My decision has to do with many factors – the fact that I have no children in my home, the way I’ve been treated by foreigners while abroad, my assessment -which likely differs from that of many on here!- on the likelihood of a refugee holding fanatical viewpoints, etc.

I was simply answering that I would do it because I had interpreted Ex-PH2’s comment as implying (somewhat understandably, mind you) that liberals were talking big but wouldn’t actually take in any refugees themselves. Which I think is probably pretty true for the politicians, but not for people like myself.

And I recognize that those risk factors and decisions vary from American family to American family. While I have no major problem taking in a military-aged male even without full vetting (which would be nice, but as you point out is impossible), I’d not want my cousin, with his young kids and very Catholic household, to do the same. I think the risk of .. ah,.. cultural misunderstandings there is too great, even if it doesn’t turn to violence.

It’s an imperfect situation, I admit. I’m just saying that there are people who’d volunteer to take people in, and they’re not crazy.

Ex-PH2

LC, I want you to understand me. I used the term ‘bleeding heart’, because the most noise about helping refugees comes from people who are the least likely to open their own homes. These include a lot of politicians. If bodaprez said he’ll give space in his Hyde Park mansion to 20 people, I’d have some grudging respect for that, once I see it happen, but it will not.

The burden of this will fall on those of us who barely have enough room to accommodate our own families. Should you agree to take in a refugee, you will not get just one. You will get an entire family who may or may not be what they say they are.

Like DefendUSA, I want to see thorough screening of these people, which will be nearly impossible because there is no real record keeping in the Middle East even remotely like that of Europe and the rest of Western civilization. When there are no real records, there is no accurate way to screen people.

LC

I had taken the ‘bleeding heart’ comment to mean liberals in general – I agree that most of the politicians aren’t going to take in refugees, I just wanted to explain that (and see my reply above to DefendUSA) for myself, a liberal on some thing, I’d have no problem doing so.

Wait, actually, that’s not entirely accurate – I can’t say I’d have no problem because I’m not blind to the fact that there are some risks involved, it’s just that to me those risks are massively outweighed by what I feel, for me, is the right thing to do. What I’d want done for myself, and people I care about, if the situation were reversed.

I can understand when people assess the risk differently. And yes, full screening would be ideal, but real life is never ideal – even without that ability, I’d still make the decision to take in a family or a military aged male. Life is never without risks, but we still have to live by what we think is right, don’t we?

NECCSEABEECPO

Here is the big problem and no one is talking about it. You vet all you want, but the big thing is some of them left family behind. So what will happen is their family left behind gets caught and ISIS will use that against them. We had this problem with some of the Iraqis that worked for us in Iraq. They came to work and loved working for us but at the same time the bad guy’s would say do this or when you come home your family will be dead.I would say it has already happen and some of these guy’s that left had to because their family is in danger and they will not tell anyone for risk of the bad guy’s finding out.

2/17 Air Cav

“So what will happen is their family left behind gets caught and ISIS will use that against them.”

You raise an interesting point. If the refugees’ families are killed, then the refugees are okay to stay. If the families are not killed, then the refugees are to be summarily….

NECCSEABEECPO

Yes, we had had happen with the taskforce I was with. A Terp and a Iraqi Engineer. We keep getting hit going out to talk to local and government leaders. We never let the Iraqis that worked for us know when we were going, if we needed them to go we just grabbed them and left made sure they had no phones but you can only do so much and we caught them trying to figure out our movements. We later found out that one of them had already had some of his family killed and the other was being threatened.

valerie

What kind of man leaves his family behind and in danger?

NECCSEABEECPO

Well what I mean about that is not just family but blood family brothers sisters mom dad. So you see how they can use this against someone. The other thing is how do we know that they weren’t forced to leave because ISIS’s already has control of family members. I just know because I saw it happen to some Iraqi workers in Iraq. They work with you and you don’t know that the bad guy’s have one of their family members asking them to get info or do something else. Some of the green on blue was because of this they do not f*#K around and we shouldn’t f*#k around. Who say’s it has to be a man!

SFC D

The man they’re talking about was forced at threat of death to his family to become an interpreter or aid to US forces in some way. he didn’t necessarily leave them behind and in danger. it was his last chance at saving them

2/17 Air Cav

I hear that the Feds are planning to unveil an “Adopt-a-Terrorist” program. Participants will be well paid, of course, and must agree to practice Sharia in their homes, forego religious discussion and church attendance, view only CNN and MSNBC on TV, not have military service Veterans or AD living in their homes, and display oBaMa’s official photo on their living room walls. Preference will be given to Muslim families and to non-Muslims who own goats. That’s what I hear, anyway.

B Woodman

Being a Veteran, I guess I’m safe . . for the moment.

NavyEODguy

Air Cav. The govt has been doing that for a number of years. It’s called the USRAP. Obamadinejad has been increasing the number of refugees allowed year after year.

The ones who really make out big time are all these bleeding heart “agencies” who take care of the initial paperwork, housing, et al. This is a multi-billion dollar “fuck America” industry. All on the taxpayer’s dime.

And let’s assume only 10 Syrian male refugees come in. All are married. All have children. Once these guys complete the initial requirements, then they get to drag their wife (wives) and rugrats over here. So 10K could easily become 60k in a matter of months.

nbcguy54ACTUAL

I think the States can push back and win it in court: The 10th Amendment in a nutshell – “Reinforces the principle of federalism by stating that the federal government possesses only those powers delegated to it by the states or the people through the Constitution.”

This means Congress (the Representatives of the “states or the people”) would have to pass a law forcing the States to take the immigrants; followed by every single one who voted for the law being removed from office at the next election.

2/17 Air Cav

No, the feds have exclusive control over immigration and it is meaningless if states can balk at taking in those oBaMa has directed be taken. So, I really don’t place much stock in what the govs have done. If oBaMa wants to avoid the showdown, he’ll just use that phone of his to have some gov such as California’s Brown take them, and tell them they can live wherever they want once they’re there.

MSG Eric

But they can’t “task” the states to provide support assets, resources, land, etc.

They “can” put those refugees on federal land and use federal resources to take care of them, however.

In other words, I’m betting every installation commander in CONUS is being told to write an OPLAN for housing refugees on their installation. (I know a couple of installations have already started that prep.)

Ex-PH2

I don’t think resistance is futile, 2/17Air Cav. A united front always works better than nothing at all.

Arkansas’ governor was Administrator of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the first Undersecretary for Border & Transportation Security at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He is a smart man and well liked by most. Our Attorney General packs a Glock and kicks federal butt every chance she gets. She is not going to roll over. Our two US Senators and four Representatives are Republicans as is all state constitutional officers and a majority in the State House and Senate. Arkansas welcomed Hurricane Katrina refugees with open arms showing we are a compassionate state. And, despite the jokes, folks in these latitudes while “country” are not easily fooled. There is plenty of inhabitable open spaces in the Middle East and lots more disposable money in those government’s banks than we have. Send em all home.

BREAKING NEWS:

In a related story, where Barry has failed to recognize ISIS as an enemy and the seriousness of the associates threats, ANONUMOUS has declared war on ISIS.

So there you have it!

New Breaking News:

Barry requests for Congress to declare war on Climate Change and to pull all DoD funding from everything other than Climate Change tactical missions. (exceptions being Camp David, Marine One, Air Force One, and any military function personally benefiting the first family)

This could be interesting. A TOR war. Wonder what kind of intel will leak out.

I saw that on Reuters earlier today. That should prove interesting.

MSG Eric

According to the latest reporting (as of about 1530 EST):

The resistance at the state level is coalescing at a rapid clip. So far, governors in at least 15 states have moved to suspend or restrict the refugee resettlement, including Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas and Wisconsin.

That was from Fox News covering this story. Surprising that even blue state governors are calling shenanigans.

Stupid pointless politics and election year opportunism.

We need to be clear that the world is united against ISIS, and that means united with people most attacked and killed by ISIS; Muslims. Muslims are out most effective allies in fighting ISIS.

These governor’s don’t genuinely care much about public safety threats. If they did they would have already been trying to deal with other more pressing health and safety issues long before now.

UpNorth

Wow, and you know for a fact that “these governors” don’t care about public safety threats?
Do you teleconference with all of them daily? Or, are you just running with the DNC or ISO talking points?

L. Taylor

I know that public safety is not the reason they are doing this. There are plenty of more pressing public safety issues they are not making a spectacle of combating.

They are doing this because it is a huge political gain for them in the election season. This is about politics, not security.

He’s a man I’d trust in a barfight when we’re back to back trying to find the door. There’s a few more folks here that I feel the same way about. So when you want to play that game, remember this.

The fact is, we’re being overrun by homicidal maniacs and their supporting communities, and nearly nothing is being done about it, and what is being attempted appears to be futile.

L. Taylor

ISIS is killing more Muslims than anyone else.

And Muslims are effective against ISIS. Kurds have been fighting and gaining ground against ISIS. Kurds are majority Sunni.

Shia militias have been fighting ISIS for years. And have been gaining ground.

Iraqi government forces have been combating ISIS as well.

Syrian forces and Syrian militias have been fighting ISIS.

In fact ISIS has been losing territory this year to forces that are predominantly Muslim attacking and defending from three sides.

L. Taylor

Now before anyone jumps in and tries to argue against the claim I made about Kurds being majority Sunni by pointing out that one of the most tenacious Kurdish militias, the PKK, is essentially agnostic and atheistic. I acknowledge they are democratic marxist nationalists and they do not hold religion in high regard.

However, the majority of Kurds are Muslim. It is the Kurdish people against ISIS.

Or at least our most effective.

Ex-PH2

Oh, dear God! If anyone says you are not capable of sheer stupidity, Lars, you just proved that you are with thise sentence:

‘Shia militias have been fighting ISIS for years.’

ISIS declared itself into existence on July 3, 2014.

THAT IS NOT YEARS, YOU FUCKING MORON.

ISIS HAS BEEN IN EXISTENCE FOR LESS THAN 18 MONTHS.

Geez, if you could make yourself look any more uninformed and just plain dumb, YOU JUST DID SO.

And don’t try quibbling over this. You’re completely wrong, period.

L. Taylor

Why do you insist on posting bullshit and calling me an idiot?

ISIS declared itself a Caliphate in June, 2014. It existed long before that as the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI).

The Islamic State of Iraq started in 2006. In 2013 they merged with the Syrian Al Nusra Front to form the Islamic State of Iraw Al-Sham (Syria/Levant), or ISIS/ISIL.

They started as “Organization of Monotheism and Jihad” before 9/11 and later, after the invasion, they became know as “Al Qaeda in Iraq”.

Shia militias were fighting against these fucks back in 2008 and 2009 when I was there. In fact, that picture being passed around of a “Syrian refugee” holding a head is a guy from the Asaib Ahl al-haq Militia. An Iranian backed Shia militia that operated in my AO. They were fighting the Sunni Iraqi state militia (and often coalition forces) back then. The guy in the picture may not be old enough to have been in the militia when I was there but the uniform he is wearing in some pictures indicate he is a members of the militia’s volunteers fighting ISIS.

The head he is holding that is making everyone think he is an ISIS fighter is almost certainly the head of an ISIS fighter.

Ex-PH2

Oh, and while I’m at it, if you don’t provide backup for your claim of ISI, you have no cred.

Just deal with it.

The rape statistics for Sweden are false. Sweden has reported no such data the videos do not have a source reciting the data except their own narrator. They splice in videos of rape reports to make it appear the reports are reporting a rape epidemic.

The data Sweden has released show immigrants are more likely to be involved in rapes in Sweden than natural born Swedish citizens.

However, the “epidemic” being reported is completely false. Sweden has much stronger reporting mechanisms and much better controls on victim privacy that the overwhelming majority of countries. And unlike any other country they track each sexual act as an individual commission of rape, they also have a high conviction rate (encouraging reporting). In 2005 they also broadly increased the definition of rape. These inflate the numbers causing Sweden to jump up on the list of rapes. Mostly because other countries have narrower definitions, have terrible reporting mechanism, have poor victim privacy protections (discouraging victims), low average conviction rates (discouraging reporting), and ordinarily do not track rape reports as involving multiple acts as separate crimes.

Ex-PH2

At this point, nobody believes anything you say, Lars. You could shout ‘Fire’ at the top of your lungs in a crowded theater and people would yawn.

L. Taylor

This is from someone that claims ISIS started in June of 2014.

What a bunch of bullshit.

Ex-PH2

Oh, you just don’t know when to quit, do you?

The official declaration of the ISIS caliphate was 28 June 2014 at 19:05 (= 7:05 PM ), you jackass. Is that simple enough for you?

l. Taylor

ISIS existed before they declared the Caliphate.

Is that simple enough for you?

API, could you post a spew alert? I have hot tea here!

Ex-PH2

The rape statistics for Sweden are spot on. Rapes have increased by a startling percentage since Sweden became a multicultural society. And these figures don’t come from a questionable source.

http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/5195/sweden-rape

Also, lard, rape is not an act of sex. It is an act of violence and aggression. It has nothing to do with sex.

L. Taylor

I accept the source.

Most of the statistics in the video are false. Especially the claims that 100% of the rapes being committed are committed by immigrants.

It is clear immigrants from the Middle East and Africa are committing rapes at a rate much higher than natural born Swedish citizens.

But it is unclear that Sweden is really second in the world. I believe that claim is based on discrepancies in how rapes are tracked between countries.

I understand that rape it an act of violence. However, the legal distinctions between rape and battery include sexual acts. Those distinctions are what classify a crime as a rape rather than a battery. And it is those acts that are individually counted as individual acts of rape.

I am not denying that this is a huge issue. But is should be accurately discussed. Not the bullshit propaganda in the videos.

Dave Hardin

Violence, threats, intimidation, rape, and extortion are all growing trends in Islamic neighborhoods.

You are correct, some of those videos do have a bias. I did not post the worst offenders of that bias.

Dealing with an epidemic of it is and act of terror itself. Hang around here for a while. The next time one of these nut jobs we expose starts calling the family members of people who post her and threaten rape, mutilation, and other forms of intimidation you might understand how I feel about some of what you, unknowingly temper.

I will be glad to invite you when I confront those people. I do not hide my name, address, or anything else from them. When you are confronting someone that has recently killed their mothers pets in front of her, days later assault her with a knife, and are now threatening the people who post here it might change your opinion on what these kind of people can do to the lives of the innocent.

Not all of course, but many, too many in the Islamic community use that same kind of terror on the masses. Draw a cartoon and you will die. Write a book and you will die and so on.

I enjoy most of your perspectives, they make me think.

Have a nice evening Mr. Taylor.

Ex-PH2

Why are you stalking me?

Richard

Sorry, did you say something?

3E9

Disagree jackass. Check the ethnic background of Gov Nikki Haley from SC and also her recent request to not have refugees settle in SC for now.

l. Taylor

Haley’s ethnic background is Sikh from India.
How is the relevant?

3E9

Makes as much sense as most of your arguments so thought I would throw it in. Now explain how she is playing politics with this?

l. Taylor

If she were concerned about saving lives there are several other more pressing public safety concerns she could be championing.

However, this one is a win. Accepting refugees is politically very unpopular in her state. By standing against she gains favor from her constituency and she forces the Administration to oppose her. If they do not the administration looks like they do not care about refugee lives.

Since she is on constitutionally weak ground so if it is fought she will lose but it will not matter. More likely the administration will not bother and democrat governors will step up to take the refugees to end this issue a quickly as possible.

She wins politically for trying and the administration looks like they care more for refugee lives than American lives.

Even though the threat is negligible and there are far more pressing health and safety issues that the GoP blocks constantly.

The end result is the same but she score points for her party. Across all the states doing it it is a big win for the GoP during an election year.

And they pay little to no political cost because few conservatives want to help refugees.

And if any attack ever happens in any state that takes refugees then the GoP can spin this issue back up in a future election year, even if a refugee is not involved.

It is a complete win, win, win for the GoP.

It only makes them look like assholes to Americans that want to help the refugees but they were not voting for the GoP anyway.

l. Taylor

But to be clear the reason this is politics and not a genuine concern for the health and safety of US citizens.

1. There are more pressing security concerns she is not championing.
2. There are more pressing health concerns she is not championing.
3. She cannot win if the administration fights her decision. Governors have no constitutional authority to deny entry into their state or to make any decision regarding national immigration issues.

So it is entirely political.

A Proud Infidel®™

FACT: You are a candyassed overeducated SHIT-FOR-BRAINS, Kid! Were you conceived behind a bus stop, o defective test tube baby? Just go out to a crowd of them with your Kool-Aid and “Kum-ba-yah” and see just how long you survive, you candyassed sheltered creampuff!

L. Taylor

Ok kid.

A Proud Infidel®™

Yeah, you candyassed creampuff!

GDContractor

If she cared about pressing public safety issues she would be smoking a vagina soaked cigar, wouldn’t she? Public goods and all that…

L. Taylor

Are you reading bringing Bill Clinton into this?

Ok, you win, I am floored by you impeccable argument and flawless reasoning.

Monica Lewinsky’s vagina proves that these governors are acting completely without political motive. Despite the fact that they have zero constitutional power to do what they said they are going to do and thus cannot do it. Unless the administration decides to just play along and let them have their way in order to take the political football away from them.

A Proud Infidel®™

Commissar, you are one hell of a living, breathing argument for the use of birth control!!

GDContractor

Sometimes a vagina soaked cigar is just a cigar soaked in a vagina. But thanks for playing.

Dave Hardin

Really? I will bet you don’t see any buses rolling into Indiana. Even the Towel adorned curry consumers already here don’t want anything to do with them.

That clicking noise you here when they walk into a building around here are the safety’s coming off.

L. Taylor

Wow, you are giving infidel a run for his money.

But I actually think you are also out of your mind psycho.

So you may beat him hands down in a fight over who is more stupid.

A Proud Infidel®™

Dave Hardin is not a fool Commissar, YOU ARE!

L. Taylor

No, he is. And by his own words a convict and a rapist.

Pretty foolish.

Ex-PH2

Where does Dave Hardin say he’s a convict and/or a rapist?

L. Taylor

When he told me that he had fucked bigger men than me in prison.

Then when I told him the brag/threat was the worst and most hilarious I ever heard, he made is clear he was serious and doubled down on his claim.

The guy is a nutcase. And an idiot.

I think he was always an idiot. Not sure when he lost his mind.

Ex-PH2

He quoted a movie, and you didn’t get it.

There seems to be a LOT of stuff you just don’t get.

A Proud Infidel®™

Larsie-parsie-candy child, Dave Hardin is a USMC Vet and a successful businessman. He’s also a Beirut Marine, a Warrior, something you’ll never be. I’m still certain you were thrown out of the Army if you ever served, Lars-pinky, your accusation against was dripping with what Psych professionals refer to as “Projection”.

You lose yet again, candy-child!

GDContractor

I’m confused. Hardin is still an idiot, right?

GDContractor

Oh. OK. I never can tell about that guy.

Now I am wondering… when he said he married a striper, was that a line from a movie as well?
//devastated

L. Taylor

No, he channeled a movie.

But when I dismissed it he doubled down.

making it clear he was serious and that I better watch my attitude because someday I will right a check that my “ass” can’t catch.

Then explained that if he and I were in a men’s room together I would not talk to him like I had in the thread.

Closing with some comment about how he has seen the look in men’s eyes when they see that it is time to pay.

The whole thing was wackjob fuckwit nuts.

GDContractor

Lars- I love ya man!

A Proud Infidel®™

Larsie-pinky candy-boy, the more I see of your comments, the more convinced I am that you’re the anal spawn of Phildo and Daniel A. Bernath the Fred Phelps clone!!!

Ex-PH2

I’m with API on this. That’s if I can quit laughing.

Don’t you have a term paper to write or something, Lars?

Dave Hardin

Hahahaha, I really did marry a stripper, it doesn’t sound like Mr. Taylor wants to have sex with me, and I am not sure if I am an idiot either.

Dave Hardin

Oh, I could be an Ex-con, maybe I have paid my debt to society.

I am not Islamic, so the odds of me being a rapist drop dramatically.

Some people think I am pretty, others foolish, a few both.

GDContractor

Not voting Lars off the island was pure fucking genius. I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time. Thank you DH (and Lars)! Looking back on it, I think it was fate that stole my coconut.

“These governor’s don’t genuinely care much about public safety threats.”

What an asinine statement. You may be right that some are making political hay with this but it doesn’t follow that if some are, that they “don’t genuinely care much about public safety threats.” A governor can genuinely care AND be rewarded politically for the steps he took. As I pointed out earlier, it will be up to the Scrotum Shaver to force the issue or dump the refugees in the oBaMa-lovin’ states.

nbcguy54ACTUAL

The Governor of Texas has had NG on the border for over a year. We just authorized additional DPS Troopers for the sole purpose of border security. I know California gives two shits about it’s border security and public safety Lard, but y’all could learn from us in Texas.

2/17 Air Cav

Massachusetts? Holy Hannah. That may start a surge.

2/17 Air Cav

Florida? Debbie Whatshername Schulz will be upset.

Ex-PH2

GOOD.

Don’t states’ rights supercede federal shit?

2/17 Air Cav

No, when it comes to immigration, federal law preempts state law. States cannot say yes to immigrants or no to immigrants if yes or no is contrary to the fed’s position. In my view, the governors are merely sending a message to D.C. that reads, “Not my state, thanks.” However, once someone in permitted entry into the US, he is free to roam about, generally, and establish residency where he chooses. I think the hope is that the refugees will get the message that particular states don’t want them and that they will choose elsewhere to reside. I have no doubt that CAIR/SPLC are already renting apartments in the states that have said no thanks, in order to plant their refugees for action.

nbcguy54ACTUAL

But is this truly “immigration”, or are we just providing a temporary safe haven until the “unrest” in their homeland subsides? That would be my question in a Federal court.

Ex-PH2

Then we, the people, should have our OWN plan for action.

NavyEODguy

I can’t speak for “we” because there are far too many of the “we” out there who support this crap for “humanitarian” reasons. This “we” does have a plan.

Fastjack

And here I am, stuck in a state that hasn’t said they were going to bring in more of these bastards. Am I liberal? Yeah. Do I believe these fuckers should be imported en masse? FUCK no. I’m investing in a good ol’ Colt 1911 and a CC. Already needed one, considering the neighborhood…

2/17 Air Cav

Yeah, it’s a shame. We have a president who chooses not to enforce federal laws, a Congress that chooses not to allocate funds for what they previously authorized, a Supreme Court that blows Left and establishes policy and contorts the Constitution as 5/9ths of its members see fit, and millions of knuckleheads who cast votes w/o a scintilla of knowledge regarding candidates beyond party. The military is being populated with queers and trannies, its leadership makes decisions only after consulting the West Wing, and real fighting men are increasingly unwelcome. We are the laughingstock of the world but so long as the check clears, the welfare debit card is reloaded every month, and The Voice and whatnot remain on TV, it’s all good. Well, until a few guys crash a plane into a stadium one Sunday or yank up a few rails on a high-speed train track. Then, the wailing begins.

D

You know, if you stopped referring to the president as a “scrotum shaver” while simultaneously referring to “queers and trannies,” your points would be better taken. As it stands, when you say things like that, you lose credibility. There’s really no need to be hateful and maligning like that.

Ex-PH2

It’s a way to vent, D, something you probably have no idea how to do. I’m sure that, in your perfect world, no one ever has moments of dysphoria or any emotion other than ‘everything is just fine… just fine… nothing is wrong.’ Enjoy your tranquility. It might end far too soon. Then what will you do?

L. Taylor

Hey, Ex-PH2,

You never explained who “they” were that were coming for me…

Ex-PH2

Oooo! Poked a nerve in ol’ lard! ‘They’ are your worst nightmare.

A Proud Infidel®™

Larsie-pinky-poo the backseat car accident at a drive-in theater is one thin-skinned candyass that will spout his shit and then call for others to come save and wipe his ass for him when the SHTF again.

D

So, I guess he’s been venting for months on end. You also don’t know me, so don’t assume you know anything about me. I want us to take down the bad guys as much as the next person, but sometimes folks on the board make it hard to agree with them. I don’t want to align or associate myself with some of the vile nastiness on here. Coalition building starts to break down when it goes off the rails.

Ex-PH2

Coalition? What coalition? If you don’t like the ‘vile nastiness’, that’s too bad. It’s the way these guys are. If you disapprove of freedom of expression, then you have a problem.

2/17 Air Cav

D. It is not scrotum shaver. It is Scrotum Shaver. When you use quotes, quote precisely. I have caught your comments from time to time and if you can get, oh, two other regulars here to agree with what you wrote, I will cease using the term. As for queers and trannies in the military, should I not refer to them as such? Is that your beef? Should I call them homosexuals and transgenders or what? You tell me.

2/17 Air Cav

D. Are you a girl?

2/17 Air Cav

I would be more credible if I called oBaMa something more befitting his office? Okay, let’s try it.

The President of the United States, Barack H. Obama, called his own grandmother a typical white woman, admitted to using drugs, violated the Constitution on multiple occasions and threatened to continue to do so because he has a phone and a pen, fomented and encouraged rebellion against other countries’ leaders and governments, unilaterally targeted and had killed at least one American citizen, stated unequivocally that he would not enforce certain federal laws with which he disagreed, acquiesced or directed the IRS to target certain groups for political purposes, inserted himself selectively and wrongly into state and local legal cases, used the United Nations and executive orders to bypass the legislative process, appointed fellow travelers to the federal courts, and generally reduced both the regard Americans held for the Office of the Presidency prior to his occupancy of it and the regard the world had for this nation before he took that office.

Now, insert Scrotum Shaver in place of “Barack H. Obama” and let me know whether that version is more believable than the first.

GDContractor

You left out his Nobel Peace Prize. That is a pretty big deal.

2/17 Air Cav

Right you are. The 2009 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to The Scrotum Shaver for what the committee had hoped he might do but didn’t. Jeez.

Commissioner Wretched

Georgia has apparently joined in as well.

You know, if everyone were to agree that when it comes to terrorists and terrorism, the problem cannot be laid exclusively in the lap of Muslims, whether they are active participants or silent supporters, the mere existence and practice of Sharia law is enough to turn the lot of them away. It is sick. It is twisted. It is purely Muslim, whatever the flavor.

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

I have to be frank here:

I don’t want anyone coming in to this great Nation unless they go through the very same extremely strict immigration requirements my parents (gladly) had to comply with.

But what do I know ….

I’m not sure when your parents got here, but my guess is they came when the people running the country still gave a damn about it. Now? Not so much.

nbcguy54ACTUAL

I agree with Frank.

That is funny.

IF MY ANCESTORS COULD DO IT THE RIGHT WAY, THESE PEOPLE CAN, TOO.

Pinto Nag

But what’s the ‘right’ way got to do with anything, when they can do it any way they want? They have nothing to lose, because our governments, and our people, are paralyzed in the face of their aggression.

Ex-PH2

Yes, but I’m not paralyzed and neither are you, PN.

Wow. I just read Piers Morgan’s latest article in The Daily Mail. He slams Obama as being pathetic. Slams the Muslims at large for not speaking out against ISIS jihadism. Makes me wonder if Piers’s next move is going to be moving to Texas and buying a gun and hunting with Ted Nugent. It’s so fun to watch them grow up…

A Proud Infidel®™

Here’s a link to an article saying they CLAIM to have a hit list of US Cities, San Antonio being among them. Yeah, there won’t be anything left of them if they try to attack Texas!

http://speisa.com/modules/articles/index.php/item.1304/isis-releases-kill-list-of-us-cities.html#.Vka9v4mpYSs.twitter

nbcguy54ACTUAL

I think our Texas Governor should let them in. I had to spend a whole $10 yesterday the rent a lane on the range – and the targets don’t move, so there’s not much challenge. If we put a bounty on them like coyotes, we could make a buck or two, save spending money at the range and have good old fashioned pop-up targets to shoot.

Come on down to Slammintonio and we’ll show you a good, Texas time.

A Proud Infidel®™

I found it funny that Merrit Island, FL is on that list.

I do have one suggestion. Botany Bay.

The Brits began exporting their criminals in the 17th century, first to American colonies, and later to Australia’s Botany Bay.

It’s just a shame that we can’t find that planet that Kahn was set down on. Ceti Alpha VI, I believe. But I think Kepler is in the process of discovering some much closer than that.

What these ISers need is their very own planet. And isolation.

Commissioner Wretched

Ceti Alpha V.

Remember the line in “The Wrath of Khan” when Chekov was saying that Ceti Alpha V had life, a fair chance, and Khan exploded:

“THIS is Ceti Alpha V! Ceti Alpha VI exploded six months after we were left here. The shock shifted the orbit of this planet and everything was laid waste.”

……..why am I troubled that I remember that line so exactly?

Ex-PH2

Why does it bother you that you remember that? Because Ricardo Montalban stole the show, maybe? Or because there was hidden message in it?

Why do I hit the ‘post’ button before I check for typos??? I misspelled Khan and typed ‘VI’ when I meant ‘V!’

Why did they quote Melville’s Ahab when Khan could have quoted someone else?

Some things just stick in your mind.

Green Thumb

I cannot help but compare this to the Jewish exodus after WWII.

Nobody wanted them. But they united, got tough, took land (rightfully theirs; historically speaking) and created Israel.

Odd how the Arab world wants nothing to do with them; their brothers and sisters. Much like the Palestinians.

History repeats itself. But the Jews, many of military-service age, fought. And they have not lost yet.

If I’m not mistaken, the early Zionists purchased a lot of land. Land that no one valued or wanted.

There are several Islamic nations on the top of the list of per capita GDP, but almost entirely due to oil.

They don’t produce it, they are to backwards to produce much of anything. We, as in non-Muslims developed all their oil fields.

Everywhere they infect the Western World crime skyrockets. Even the educated ones that learn a skill, like flying a jet for example, can not be trusted.

Hang out at a truck stop for a while, lots of Islamic drives in those trucks these days. Its a matter of time.

L. Taylor

I will take your word for it. I do not spend much time hanging out at a truck stop, Dave.

Dave Hardin

I do, love the food. Dont know if they have Waffle House out your way but I love that place. At 2am, no better food on the planet.

L. Taylor

I have been to them. Was at Ft. Benning for a while, and Ft. Bragg. Also drove across the country several times.

It is pretty decent and cheap.

Dave Hardin

Yep, you know what I mean then. Nothing like the smell of dead pig to ward off Allah.

Dave Hardin

Oh, and its Muslim free by design, the place is covered in pig fat and all the food floats in it.

I have actually seen bacon flying through the air.

Dave Hardin

Insofar as Malaysian and Indonesian products go; I find rubber dog shit a fun prank but not particularly useful otherwise.
