Tuesday morning feel good stories

| November 17, 2015

This morning we start with a story from Columbus, Ohio, two fellows broke into a home without asking permission, so the homeowner shot both of them. They un-assed the AO, one hitching a ride in an “amber-lance” while the other walked to the hospital. Neither have life-threatening injuries, until, you know, they meet their new roomies.

In Lawton, Oklahoma, a homeowner shot a man in the leg when the thief tried to enter his home. Again, the wound wasn’t life threatening.

In Atlanta, Georgia, a homeowner awoke to the sound of someone stealing his truck, so he sent a little gunfire in the fellow’s direction which dissuaded the thief. He got a ride to the hospital from a friend who happened to be nearby. There’s no word on the wounded fellow’s condition.

Zhytamyr sends us a link to a story from St Louis, Missouri, where three contractors were working on a water line when they were approached by two armed men who demanded their wallets. The first two contractors gave up their goods, the third said his wallet was in the truck. While the gunman kept him covered, the contractor turned around and ventilated him with the gun he had stowed in the truck. The bad guy was DRT (dead right there).

It’s not an increase in the crime rate. It’s an increase in the number of people who don’t curl up and give up. Good to know.
