In St Louis, Missouri, a fellow, after threatening an ex-girlfriend over the phone, went to her home to cash in on the sweet, sweet lovin’ his threats would inspire, was met at the door by the new boyfriend. When the old boyfriend made a gesture like he was reaching for a gun behind his back, the new boyfriend rung his bell and Old Boyfriend was DRT.

In San Antonio, Texas, a private security guard saw a youngster innocently breaking into cars. When the youngster hopped in one of the cars and tried to use the vehicle as a weapon against the guard, the guard shot the fellow. He was DRT.

In Carter County, Kentucky, 75-year-old Robert Hamm was taking a mid-morning nap when he awoke to the sounds of someone rummaging through his stuff. He found Larry Lee Thompson, who Hamm had known since Thompson was born, loaded down with Hamm’s tools. The75 shows that ol’ dudes can, in the right circumstance, show restraint. Good for him, but I would wager that the safety was off and his finger was very near the trigger guard, in case the need arose.

Love that “I wanted to shoot him real bad” line. Without the need to shoot the little bastard but with no one to contradict his justification if he had, I guess Mr Hamm wanted to live with himself real badder after the event. The little bastard should be very grateful.

Hmm… that older gentleman with the shotgun sounds like one hot tamale to me. I would not mind meeting him for a drink.
