Hungarians give Army new powers to battle refugee crisis

| September 22, 2015

AFP reports that the Hungarian legislature has given the Hungarian Army new powers to hold Europe’s frontline in the latest crisis there.

Under the legislation, the army can participate in border control and may use non-lethal force, while police will be able to enter private homes to look for illegal migrants.

“Soldiers deployed to the border can use coercive weapons designed to cause bodily harm, although in a non-lethal way, unless it cannot be avoided,” it says, referring to rubber bullets, tear gas grenades and net guns.

Last week, other legislation came into force allowing Hungary to jail anyone caught crossing the border illegally, which carries a maximum fine of five years in prison.

The Hungarians have already fortified the 175-kilometer Hungary-Serbia border which they claim has been somewhat successful in stemming the flow north of supposedly-Syrian refugees. Hungary has already had 220,000 refugees register with the government.

A reporter from the UK’s Daily Mail was able to to buy a Syrian passport and a driver’s license for about $2000 in Turkey, so that’s just one more thing the Europeans will have to sort out. Syrians are more likely to gain refugee status than other nationalities because of the civil war there.

Just a crap load of military aged males coming out of the middle east into Europe, and soon here…
Personally, I would send every one of them back.

Just rent some of the Chinese Army give them some (stinking) badges and put them to work.

The real concern that we should all acknowledge is that these so-called refugees will demand that everyone accommodate their traditions and culture, instead of the other way around.

That, and the hollering about bigotry that will soon follow if this doesn’t happen, are inevitable when the bleeding hearts fail to acknowledge the reality that this is not a refugee or humanitarian crisis. It is a political crisis that could have been prevented.

Whether or not this sets that part of the world on fire remains to be seen. Since several people here have said it is pissing off locals who live there, that may just happen. It is very likely one of the reasons Putin is moving troops, planes and tanks into that area – to stop it before the barbarians reach his gates.

For these people to expect other countries to bear the burden of their ingrained unwillingness to defend themselves from extremists is as outrageous as you can get.

I concur, Ex-PH2, we’ve already seen it with the recent arrivals in Germany bawling that Oktoberfest “offends” them, and I say “SCREW ‘EM”, they can go back to the cesspools they came from, the countries they’ve occupied for millennia that are still filthy and squalor-infested. They obviously don’t want to be civilized, so why should civilized nations allow them to infest and tear them down?

I can’t link the video directly, but here’s a new video taking the Hitler bunker scene to new heights. . . . warning. Spew alert, and please be seated, with no liquids in mouth.

“Pork chops on the border to slow them down…” Bwahahah.

About the source, isn’t feral Irishman redundant? I believe the nomenclature for a non-feral Irishman would be Briton.

So much for Europe’s love affair with itself. The notion long pushed that a unified Europe is a peaceful Europe is being exposed for what it is: fiction. Infighting among nations (i.e., members) is common now and “He’s not taking as many as he should!” is now the whine. And the UN simply will not STFU. Funny, if these same countries had acted years ago in a concerted effort to—ah, what’s the difference? By the way, how many refugees is Deepest, Darkest Africa taking? Funny that people who claim that they are refugees seeking to escape death and persecution are picky about where they go. Motel 6? Hell no! It’s the Holiday Inn for me!

How many are going to Dubai or Saudi Arabia for that matter?

A Proud Infidel®™

Good question! I read earlier this week on Drudge that the Saudi Government had made provisions to accommodate about 1-150,000 of these “refugees”, and no takers. Maybe they’re sure they can get a much better free ride from Western Countries while they do their damnedest to inflict their beliefs and way of life on them?

My question is why doesn’t Saudi Arabia take them. Isn’t a huge tent city already erected around Mecca for the hadj pilgrimage?

Fuggin’ win-win situation if you ask me.

Come on now folks. They’re just a bunch of out of work clock makers. Give ’em a break.

The Ottoman’s couldn’t do the job back in the 1300’s, but stand a good chance in today’s liberal PC Europe.

1300s? Try as late as the 1680s. The Ottoman Empire had conquered virtually all of Hungary and besieged Vienna for two months in summer 1683. The siege ended on 12 September 1683, when the Ottomans lost the Battle of Vienna.
