Weekend open thread
The latest phony to threaten us with legal action is William Roy. his lawyer is talking to Google to get our post removed. Good luck with that, Bill. Google has no control over what we post here.
Anyway, he called to ask me to remove it because, it wasn’t him that made the claims about Vietnam service, it was his friend. And, then he showed up for a photo shoot for a friend and they handed him that uniform and he just put it on. And we’ve never heard that before.
Funny, but in the initial call he made to me, he said he could prove that he earned all of those medals, then the story changed when he discovered that I didn’t flinch. I’m sure there’s a spot in the DRC for him.
Anyway, another phony is going to be arrested later this weekend and we’ve been promised an exclusive photo of the arrest. So while you’re waiting, gaze at the adorable Bengal tiger cubs.

There’s local media interest in Roberth Keith English’s phony military claims. I originally provided a lead to NBC12 in Richmond, one of their reporters should be contacting this site for more information, if she hasn’t already done so yet.
NICE!!!
In the completely irrelevant category: every once in a while it’s instructive to run the channels on the old TV. Today I discovered the music channel called “Martini Time.” Just now they played Patience and Prudence doing “You belong to Me,” followed by Billy May’s “Music to Watch Girls By.” Good stuff have in the background. Been a long time since I’d heard Steve & Eydie, Mel Torme, and such.
Ahhh.
Today was an interesting show at the Rochelle Railroad Park in Rochelle, Ill, a Union Pacific Rsilroad (UPRR) Maintenance of Way (MoW) crew was doing crosstie replacement with the usual traffic (90-120 trains per day) and had to pause while trains passed, talk about “trying to get things done” in between trains! The weather was nice enough, on-and-off cloud cover.
I have nothing. Just wanted to be comment 300.
On a lark, I looked up the CA Bar status of Daniel Bernath–he who once again lost a court case because it 1) was frivolous; 2) he apparently annoyed everyone involved; and 3) failed to demonstrate even a rudimentary level of legal acumen and ability.
According to the bar, as of last week, Bernath is now inactive. Any details?
Plenty to report, however the AAR will have be the source.
I have been busy making travel arrangements (first class of course on Delta), hotel bookings (at the W), preparation and review of documents and after the proceedings of next week, I am off to Catalina.
Ask the stewardess if she gives back rubs. 🙂
