The reader who calls himself “Ohio” sends us a link to a story from Dallas, Texas about a couple who were leaving Benihana after a meal. They were stopped by a fellow who asked for a light, then pulled a mask over his face while pulling his firearm. Unfortunately for him, his intended victim had a gun, too, a brief firefight ensued and thief-guy was DRT (Dead Right There), his intended victim is expected to recover from his injuries.

Chief Tango sends us another story from Meridian, Mississippi where another entrepreneur tried to turn his life around with someone else’s property, but ended up being DRT on a homeowner’s floor.

Texas and Mississippi, two places that I wouldn’t consider committing any crime with a weapon. Chances are pretty good that the guy you’re robbing has a bigger gun than you.
That’s why their isnt many armed robberies in Alaska.
