Gaylord Stevens; phony SEAL, phony Vietnam vet arrested for child porn
Mary sends us a link to the Tyler Morning Telegraph article about Gaylord Stevens, aka Steven Hawke, who falsely claimed to be a Navy SEAL and a Vietnam veteran and then ended up in cuffs this week on federal charges of trafficking in kiddie pr0n.
Gaylord Stevens, also known as Steven Hawke, was arrested in San Antonio on Wednesday on the Smith County charges and was expected to be booked into the Smith County Jail late Thursday on the charges and with bonds totaling $300,000.
Stevens, 65, reported to media outlets last December that Lindale Police illegally seized his horse as he traveled across the country attempting to raise awareness for American history.
Stevens visited the Tyler Morning Telegraph, telling “his side of the story” as that of a Vietnam veteran being harassed by police over horses that were in “good health.”
However, Lindale Police Lt. David Craft said the man’s horses were diseased to the point where two of the animals had to be put down.
Stevens was released on bond at the time, but Craft said there always was a much bigger issue, and that was the child p****graphy on the man’s computer and in his possession.
Because they’re all sociopaths who have other crimes going on in their lives. When they’re not covering up for their poor life choices with the good will Americans express for their real veterans. This guy was busted a very long time ago;
A book titled “Stolen Valor” indicates Stevens actually served in the U.S. Coast Guard stateside from 1969 to 1972. He never went to Vietnam and never was a Navy Seal.
Craft said Stevens also was considered a con man who traveled the country collecting money from unsuspecting individuals and businesses for a Vietnam War museum.
Stevens and another man, who claimed to be an Army Green Beret in Vietnam, did open a museum for a few years in the 1980s in San Antonio, but when it was learned they had lied about their service, the museum closed.

We were living in the Hill Country northwest of San Antonio when this asshole opened his so-called Vietnam War museum, within spitting distance of the Alamo, as I recall. I stopped by one afternoon and it took me about five minutes of looking around and another few minutes of conversation with this clown to determine that the whole operation and its founder were bogus.
It took a while longer for the general public, the authorities and the media to get onto the truth and force him to shut down. It’s too long ago so ol’ Poe’s old brain can’t remember the details.
San Antonio seems to have a thing for bullshit museums.

Since I started reading TAH I have learned many new things. One thing is the slang “tickle monster”. I used to play the game tickle monster when my kids were little. I would say here comes the tickle monster and then tickle their ribs until the house was shaking with laughter. I can no longer do that without thinking of these pieces of shit that wrote themselves out of the human race.
I am ashamed this LSOS was from near my part of the world.
