US “experts” sent to Nigeria

Speaking of jungles, Pinto Nag sends us a link to MSN which reports that US “experts” are going to Nigeria to help that country in their hunt for Boko Haram, the al Qaeda-linked terrorist group which has taken to kidnapping a few hundred teen age girls to bolster their checking account;

Some analysts said Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan’s acceptance of US military assistance showed he had realised his administration cannot manage the Boko Haram uprising without help.

As well as mounting pressure over the kidnappings, Nigeria has been hit by a spate of bombings.

Just a few hours before the mass abduction, a blast ripped through a crowded bus station on the outskirts of Abuja, killing 75 people in the deadliest attack to hit the capital.

Well, I’ll tell you, it’s good thing that al Qaeda has been decimated.

The team sent to Nigeria consists of “military, law enforcement, and other agencies”, Obama said, and will work to “identify where in fact these girls might be and provide them help”.

Mostly military, though, I’m sure. You know those folks who are having their pay cut and will have to fend for themselves when they get out of the service. But, hey, as long as the president looks good sending them, that’s all that matters. Besides, if any part of this operation goes south, we’ll get blamed whether we send troops or not. Too bad that trying to handle this as a law enforcement issue didn’t work. Associated Press reports that last month, the Obama Administration put a $7 million price on Abubakar Shekau, the group’s leader. That always works well.

I think Bill Clinton volunteered to lead the mission…

Boko Harum? I used to like their music, especially A Whiter Shade of Pale

I always knew drugs would be the end of them — see how they turned out?

Pinto Nag

Okay, I’ll say it.

The music group was “Procol Harum.” But you already knew that…

Jerry920

LOL, Every time I hear their name that pops into my head! 🙂

rgr1480

Yah, me too!

Sorry bout that, chief!

Sparks

Yep, me too. Now I have, “A Whiter Shape Of Pale” playing in my head. This guy needs to change his name to Mohamed something or other.

Friggin’ hilarious. I love it!

Jerry920

Nigerian experts? Hell, I am Nigerian expert. Shoot, I get their emails two or three times a day, I am just waiting to collect my millions.

Sparks

Jerry920…You too! Man if I can only come up with the $2000 to you know, clear up the government and banking paperwork, I’ve got $10 million waiting for me! Gotta love those wealthy Nigerian Princes. 😀

We have women and girls disappear in this country every year, and our “experts” have very little success finding them — until the body turns up somewhere, that is. And we’re going to hurry over there and find girls that have been taken by terrorists?

Sure. Whatever. This is me not holding my breath.

OldSoldier54

Even worse, this happened about three weeks ago. Kerry’s just now talking about it.

Since it going to take a miracle for a happy ending … now’s the time to pray.

Gina

Three weeks ago a certain e-mail on Benghazi wasn’t in the news prompting the RINO Speaker of the House to finally get off his ass and call for a select committee.

But I’m sure that’s just a coincidence…after all, the most transparent administration in history has no need to try and divert attention…

In all seriousness though, these guys are some nasty pieces of work. If the opportunity arises, sending them on to their martyrdom as a single unit would be a contribution to all of mankind.

The Other Whitey

“Religion of peace” my ass…

Scam. Nigerian Gubbymint fishing for billions in foreign aid, they’ll still hate us, and things just keep on keeping on. Stay the foch out. Mister Superman no here…

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

I know about this story than let’s say the shoe shine guy on the corner, but I can say this:

US Ningas were there 2 years ago on the HUNT and could not wack him.

Now they have 300 hostages ready for sale.

So my prediction is: negociate; locate; rescue; and then kill everyone else!

Correction: “a wee bit more about”.

I hope these are experts in taking out the trash. Seems like Nigeria has a waste problem and certain people need disposing of.

How come this is a big deal? Why because liberals want us to spend “blood and treasure” for some girls that were kidnapped by the very people they want to “COEXIST” with. No! If moslems stole kids from the US and fled to Canada, we’d kill them. If moslems stole kids and fled to Mexico we’d….apologize. Screw Nigeria. If they have a problem with Proco Harem, they need to go kill them. Not us. NO BLOOD FOR OIL!

Poetrooper

Kinda makes one wonder what the libs would be agitating for if Boko Harum had kidnapped several hundred white, American and European oil workers?

Most likely, nada, nothing, move along…

Look, a squirrel!

Azygos

Four white guys in Benghazi get murdered, one tortured and murdered and we get a yawn from the pResident in the morning.

Three hundred noncitizen black chil… Hmmm, Is this a racial thing in the part of the pResident?

B Woodman

I hate to make the comparison, but, “VietNam”.
I think you’all are intelligent enough to figure out the rest.
So, in other words, NO!
But teh BoDaPrez won’t listen, as usual.

Seriously, let’s not turn this into a racial thing. A very large number of children were abducted and now they’re threatening to sell them all….assuming they’re even still alive. This, in my opinion, is an atrocity….no matter the race, religion, or location of the victims.

Jacobite

What ever kind of ‘thing’ it is, Federal Bureau of Justice Statistics say that approx 50k children are abducted in THIS country annually by someone other than a family member, many of those wind up in the sex trade. Those same statistics say that only about 0.1% of kidnappers are apprehended. Throw in the kids taken by family members and the number of abductees climbs into the 200k range.

While I feel bad for the kids in Nigeria, I think it’s BLATANTLY obvious any available finances and manpower should be spent HERE solving OUR OWN problems. Not wasted in a third world hell hole that obviously can’t police its self.

BOILING MAD CPO

We will get bogged down, there is no question about that. First we send some military experts, than some special ops, than on and on and on.

Another country to prop up is in our future.

Rick

What ever happened to the beanies who were chasing Kone? Did they catch him? If not and they’re still there, can’t they just pop over whatever borders and rescue the kids and pop back and continue the mission?
