Saturday morning feel good stories
Chief Tango sends us links once again to our feel good stories for the start of the weekend. The first is from Missouri where a woman awoke to the sound of her front door opening;
A husband and wife were in the home and the wife said she awoke to the sound of the front door opening.
She said she went to the top of her stairway with her handgun and saw two black males in her home standing just inside the front door.
The woman fired three rounds at the suspects who then left the home.
Authorities do not think the suspects were hit.
More range time, and shooting down the stairs takes a lot of practice, so don’t feel bad.
The second story comes from San Jose, California where a reported Marine veteran caught someone trying to break into his home;
Friday that detectives are treating the death as a homicide. Prosecutors weigh whether a homicide is considered “justified” if they feel there is a reasonable excuse for the killing, such as self defense. In such cases, the shooter would not be charged with a crime.
“He said somebody had attempted to break into his home, and at some point he saw some shadows or silhouettes of a person,” Morales said. “He armed himself with a firearm that belonged to him and returned fire in the direction of where this subject was, in defense.”
No range time necessary, but it’s recommended to keep those skills sharp. I left the video at the link above.

My home is my AO, my paradise, my “Happy Place”,. It is MINE, it belongs to ME. I paid for it, I fixed it, I raise my family in it, I entertain guests in it, I store all my shit in it, I have it posted, etc. Now, you threaten ANY of it, especially my beloved family that live in it, you will die expediently and with extreme prejudice, I will not bat an eye and waste a drop of sweat over you dead bleeding carcass. When the Sheriffs Dept or state police show up after a 45 min drive, they will find me drinking coffee and eating cheerios over the fool while I still debate whether i should skin and tan the hide and hang it on my barn wall. Every American has the right to defend their Homes and family, simple.
@1 killerB Can’t say it better than you did. Here-Here!
Read both reports.
Lady in 1st report was shooting in the dark. If she didn’t quite hit the target, she still made a point.
Read second report. Geez, could the cops in LaLaLand learn some fr#$%#@king grammar? And could they learn the difference between ‘break-in’ and ‘legal entry’?
I’ve included a link to a video about the incident. The video includes San Jose PD PAO Albert Moralez.
In it he actually says this, “(victim) returned fire in the direction of where this subject was, in defense of his life.”
