You know, I try. I honestly try and read the stuff you link to. Try as I might, though, I can rarely get through the original post, let alone the comments.
I am an educated man. It’s painful to me to have to try and wade through the mental masturbation that poses as considered thought amongst those folks. They don;t get it.
We are, indeed, a truly divided nation, and regardless of my efforts to be reasonable and considerate of the other side’s opinions, I’m failing to grasp why I should even want to call them “My Countrymen” because they don’t live in the America that I was raised in.
Claymore, I do try to read some of those entries written by people who don’t like you if you disagree with them.
But it’s Christmas, and I’m feeling too charitable to take in the entire thing without a snide response on my part.
Instead, I’ll wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
In the spirit of Christmas, I think it’s important to remember one thing; many of the people on DU are genuinely disturbed and hate themselves to the point they project that onto anything good and worthwhile. What does that have to do with Christmas? Nothing. Nothing at all. 🙂
