Washington Post; buy more pr0n to save the economy

| September 7, 2013

Yes, the Washington Post says that the economy only looks bad because the pr0n industry has lost 22,000 jobs in a month;

That’s a huge drop. It’s probably enough to change how analysts see this jobs report, from kinda gloomy to really gloomy. But what’s behind it?

The data don’t tell us, right away. But news reports would suggest that pornography is a strong possibility.

More specifically, the temporary shutdown of America’s adult film industry last month.

In the middle of August, an adult actress, who goes by the name Cameron Bay, tested positive for the HIV virus. That prompted studios to stop filming. A week later, the trade group that called for the shutdown essentially called it off, because all other performers who had worked with Bay tested negative for the virus.

Yeah, well, that explains it. We’re a pr0n-based economy, so you guys aren’t buying enough pr0n to make this administration look good. Hey, I’m here doing my part, the rest of you need get on board.

They’ve been operating in the hole for decades now.

A drop in the prOn industry at the same time we are seeing personnel cuts in all branches of the military?

Coincidence? I think not.

NHSparky,

I see what you did there. I like it!

Well, but what about phone sex? Has that lost business, too?

Come to think of it, I don’t see the girlie rags on the magazine rack at the grocery store so much these days. I see magazines for quilting, crocheting, cooking, log cabin homes, football, but — well, nope, the girlie rags seem to be MIA.

It’s because of all the illegals. They are doing the pr0n lazy Americans don’t want to do. Why pay some spoiled American Strumpet with a plastic body 3000 bucks a day when you have 3rd World chicks who do Peso shows for 5 bucks a pop?

Well, that argument might have merit if the economy had only lost a few jobs last month. But per the BLS, between July and August 2013 115,000 jobs went away.

Something tells me the other jobs lost – 93,000, or roughly 81% of the total jobs lost – weren’t related to the pr0n industry.

By the way: those 22,000 jobs are within roundoff error for the national unemployment rate. The US civilian labor force in August 2013 was roughly 155,486,000. 22,000 additional jobs in pr0n would change that by less than 0.0142%

The real story is that the US civilian labor force shrank by 312,000 in August. That means that more than 190,000 folks simply quit even looking for work – dropping the labor participation rate by 0.2% and giving the US the lowest labor participation rate (63.2%) since 35 years ago, during the Carter Administration.

Golly gee, I hope Insipid didn’t lose his gay porn writer’s job. Oh, just kidding. Of course I do.

I guess watching it free on the InterTubes doesn’t count.

I like prawn, with a little cocktail sauce and a dash of tobasco – with lemons.
