And…it’s death

| August 28, 2013

Fox News is reporting that Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood murderer has been sentenced to death. No article yet just this;

Death

Chief Tango sends a link from the Washington Post;

Nidal Malik Hasan was sentenced to death Wednesday for killing 13 people and wounding 32 others in a 2009 shooting spree at Fort Hood, Tex., the worst mass murder at a military installation in U.S. history.

Dressed in Army fatigues, Hasan, who turns 43 next month, listened impassively as the death penalty was handed down by a panel of 13 senior military officers in a unanimous decision. If even a single panel member had objected, Hasan would instead have been sentenced to life in prison.

Just an Old Dog

Going to be a lonnggggg time before he swings. Obumbler will have to sign off on it, and I’m wagering it wont be put on his desk anytime too soon. Then there is at least one mandatory appeal.
With his physical condition he could go down hill pretty quick. He doesn’t seen the type to work out and take care of whats left of his body to extend his lifespan. I can see him getting infections and getting pressure sores and having his organs shutting down.
While he is teetering on the brink the Army needs to get a solid pro American Muslim Imam Officer to provide religious counsel to him. Every day he should be visited by him and told how he has twisted his religion.
In the end, whether swinging by rope or dying in a prison hospital he should feel what a useless piece of shit he is.

Heidi

Somebody just feed him pork for a long time, please

All I gotta say it get fucking to it!,,Fry his ass tomorrow, not in 10 more years!

jonp

I offer to fulfill my duties as an American and a Veteran and serve on the firing squad.

jonp

@52: Feed him pork chops, bacon and sausage until he dies of a heart attack. Devious, I like it

Amen

@51 I remember reading about the automatic appeals on the case of a female serial killer (Aileen Wuornos), she literally went to the judge on her 40th appeal and said “I want to die just let me die” because you can’t wave them

Here is the video if you guys are bored enough to watch 😛 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikl-SUbjjEI

While awaiting the appeals process to run it’s course, perhaps he receives a terminal swirly in the head a la Jeffrey Dahmer, inshallah.

“Death” can take many forms. For my money, we should put him in an 8×10 cell…no TV…no books…no Koran…no exercise…no nothing. He may not be biologically dead, but that would just be a formality. The good thing is that this douche would wish he’s dead…24 hours a day…365 days a year.

MustangCryppie

@43 If we have to execute him, I’m kind of partial to this:

Some lifer who has a shot at cutting his throat could very well end this discussion. However, he may be in segregation or protective unit. In that case the lifer needs to figure out how to poisin his food. But then there may be measures to protect his food. Then perhaps there could be a short circut on the shower or bath hoist that he needs. Nothing like 110 volts dead grounded in water.

If I think of any other method, I will express it. However, I don’t want anyone here at TAH to take matters at hand. Let the lifers figure out all on there own. I am certain they are!

MCPO NYC USN (Ret.)

Oh, one more.

I assume because he is in a wheel chair he needs to take an elevator on occasion.

This would be tragic: failure of outer door safety switch and inertia breaks at exactly the same time along with some simple relay bypassing. .

Tragic, I tell ya!

Nik

Yah, I’m guessing since he’s all gimped up, as well as infamous, as well as someone who killed servicemembers indiscriminately…he’s in protective custody.

MCPO NYC USN (Ret.)

Nik … That is why the lifers have to think outside of the box.

Ah … GOT IT … Improvised Long Distance Blow Gun With Poisin Dart (ILDBGWPD)!

Ex-PH2

Not to worry, Master Chief. I’ll just send him a gift box of thinks like bread and apple cake that have been sitting out on my kitchen counter in the heat for about three weeks. I’ll include a large portion of ergot fungus in the batter.

A Proud Infidel

@65, Ma’am, how about something liberally seasoned with Amanita mushroom? A bred case of painful indigestion, and it’ll drop dead a few days later from the neurotoxin it contains!

Anonymous

Good idea, Proud. The ergot poisoning will set hs nerves on fire and drive him made while gangrene will rot his limbs, and the Amanita salad, nicely done with red peppers, kalamata olives, a little softened bulgur wheat and some herbed feta cheese, will slip right down that disgusting throat of his, and he’ll linger for a while over his dinner.

Ex--PH2

Oops, cleared my cache and forgot to reload. Anonymous is/was me.

Nice idea, Proud. The ergot poisoning will set his nerves on fire and drive him into madness, while gangrene sets in and rots his limbs and his mind. The amanita salad with onions, red peppers, kalamata olives, some softened cracked bulgur wheat and herbed feta cheese will have him lingering over dinner.

Emperor Claudius’ wife fed him poisoned mushrooms on their last date night. He knew they were poisoned. He ate them anyway.

I’ve seen a paper crossbow on Mythbusters. That sounds like a winning idea.

BillC

Too bad the method, if it ever comes to it, is lethal injection. How about an old fashioned hanging, with a short rope.

A Proud Infidel

@66, *OOP!* I meant a BRIEF case of indigestion!

Herbert J Messkit

He should have been taken straight from that courtroom to a waiting helicopter direct to Leavenworth, just like that female gangster at Fort Hood about ten years ago.

A Proud Infidel

For what it’s worth, I once read some group’s argument that lethal injection is cruel because first, it paralyzes the muscles and they stop breathing while the condemned is still conscious, and they supposedly suffer before their heart stops. If it’s true, then he’ll suffer after all while he gets put down like a mad dog!!

A Proud Infidel

@72, that, or do it like a Doonesbury comic about an Iranian courtroom where the Judge said “This Court finds you guilty and sentences you to death. The Bailiff may fire when ready.”

Common Sense

Well, I’m not so sure a long appeal process would be all that bad. Paraplegics are susceptible to all sorts of complications. Perhaps we can curse him with getting some flesh-eating bacteria, say, in a sensitive spot. Maybe some brown recluse spiders in his undies? It’s a nasty and painful way to go, much better than a quick execution.

B Woodman

FOURTEEN dead. Why do they always leave out the unborn infant?? Damn!

As for me, I WANT TO PUSH THE PLUNGER ON HIS LETHAL INJECTION!! NOW!!
PRETTY pretty pretty please with a ton of sugar on top!??!

Any martyrdom on his part is overshadowed by the fact that his fellow jihadist peeps and their countrymen are more wondering why we haven’t just taken his ass out and shot it already. They’d have done it already, after all.

USMCE8Ret

Martyrdom only works in the minds of people who believe in such a thing. As for me (and I suspect most of you, too) don’t believe in it either. I believe there will be a different accounting for in the after-life, and presume Hasan’s experience won’t be what he expected – nor desires.

Given the fact he’ll likely spend the rest of his life in prison, at least he won’t have the freedoms he’s enjoyed up to this point, and his pay will likely stop.

For the families, I hope they all bring civil lawsuits against him and go after the money he’s been paid over these last 4 1/2 years. If he’s as successful as he was defending himself in the criminal trial, then getting a meager financial penalty out of his bank account will leave him penniless as well. Granted, the $300K he’s amassed isn’t much to compensate for damages, but leaving him rotting in a prison in a wheelchair waiting to be strapped to a gurney is probably the best anyone can hope for.

A Proud Infidel

USMCE8, one thing is for sure, and it’s that forfeiture of all pay and benefits is one part of being imprisoned at the USDB. As far as his pay while awaiting trial, it might have been held, then forfeited upon his conviction. Either way, I also look forward to the day he assumes room temperature and goes to hell where he belongs!

MAJMike

A lifer in any prison has a lot of time on hands to produce creative ways to bollux up the system. I’m sure such creativity could be channeled in productive ways to ensure that Hasan gets what he deserves.

USMCE8Ret

@79 – Agreed. I’m referring to the money that was likely direct deposited to him for a period of time. He’s sitting on a small pile of money, to be sure. That needs to be taken away rikki-tik, lest it earn interest over the next umpteen years and gets willed off to some mosque once he dies.

ChopIT

How about burial at sea? No need for bullets or injections, just tip the wheel chair off the side of the ship and then he can be buried with OBL.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

The outcome is appropriate the travesty is taking 4 years and not calling it an act of terrorism.

There was a time in America about 80 years ago when you committed a crime in front of dozens of witnesses and if that were a capital crime you could be dead within weeks and not years or decades.

We also called murder what it was, not workplace violence, or some other horsesh1t….this case was a clear terrorist act performed by a radical islamist.

Claiming otherwise insults our intelligence and belittles us all.

Nik

The outcome is appropriate the travesty is taking 4 years and not calling it an act of terrorism.

Ain’t that the damn truth? I was listening to an interview with one of the victims this morning. He was on his way to his third tour when he was shot. I was thinking “I hope the next president has the good taste and common sense to declare the Fort Hood shooting an act of terrorism. Hell, that might be enough to get me to vote for them.”
