Sunday Feel Good Story
Chief Tango sends us today’s feel good story from Jackson, Mississippi when a homeowner heard his dog barking and went outside to find someone burglarizing his car;
The owner of a home in the 1700 block of Tanglewood Cove told police he heard a noise about 6 a.m. and went outside to discover that a man had broken into his car. The homeowner opened fire, shooting 20-year-old Quardious Thomas, who was still inside the car, police said. Thomas died at a local hospital, police said.
Police haven’t released the name of the homeowner, but said he will not be charged. Mississippi’s Castle Doctrine allows the use of deadly force to defend against a felony being committed against oneself, another person, or one’s home.
Apparently, young Quardious who was busy turning his life around, broke into six other cars in the neighborhood that night and there had been more than 30 break-ins this year so far. This might put a cork in that stuff.

The good guys win again and another thug off the streets…permanently. Good for Mississippi citizens.
Prayers out to the car owner. It’s a bitch getting blood out of upholstery. Just hope he had a leather interior.
One less criminal and a safe homeowner. You couldn’t ask for a better outcome.
Quardious?
I wonder if he had skittles and a hoodie?
With parent(s) who would name him “Quardious”, he never had a chance… but he was still old enough to know better…
Frank G@5, this is the dawning of the age of Quardious, the age of Quardious.
You guys beat me to it. The only reference i can find to this name is the bozo that shot. How do parents come up with these names? On the positive side, there probably isn’t a Quardious Jr. God forbid there be a Quardious III.
The same way they come up with Tyrod, or Turdell. Quardious comes from one of those Random Name Generators that are out there. They want to make their children unique, not understanding that each child is already unique. One thing for sure it makes it very easy for employers to sort out job applications and resumes.
With a name like Quardious, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out the perp’s race – even if the local MSM ragsheet doesn’t name it.
He was just minding his own business breaking into people’s cars!
He’s lucky that the prosecutor didn’t go after him for firing his weapon outside of his home. Here in CO, in a neighboring suburb, we had an old man who caught some punks stealing his trailer and shot at them. They charged him with attempted murder and took his 2nd Amendment rights away.

Colorado also has a castle doctrine, called the Make My Day law. Didn’t help this man because he was outside his home.
No one is a winner in this case. Although the young man was wrong for what he did, I don’t think taking his life was justfiable. I can’t see taking a life over material things. One can replace those things, but you can’t replace a LIFE
