What A Surprise . . . .
“NBC’s Lisa Myers reported this morning that the IRS deliberately chose not to reveal that it had wrongly targeted conservative groups until after the 2012 presidential election:”
Video is available at the link.

I don’t know which is more surprising; the fact that an official from the IRS said this, or that NBC actually reported it.
Huh….why would they do that? (whistling away)
If it weren’t all true they might be accused of piling on, but it looks like it’s harvest time for all the seeds that were sown by this administration…it’s looking like a very interesting harvest as well…
What?!? Deliberately lied?!? Nah, it must have been an inadvertant mistake.
Sheesh.
What!?!?!?! (Falls off chair laughing.)
I’m wondering if the Administration is starting to regret that little escapade with the AP’s phone numbers. It seems as if the media is actually starting to ask some serious questions.
Wonder if there might be linkage between the two? (smile)
Hondo, indeed hell hath no fury like a reporter(s) scorned or worse spied on an betrayed….that their hero would be stealing their personal emails is no doubt a step towards changing the mythology.
Yeah, whatever. As if the MSM would have picked up & broken the story before the election…zero chance.
This is my surprised face. Really. Color it.
According to constitutional lawyers, “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” are (1) real criminality — breaking a law; (2) abuses of power; (3) “violation of public trust” as defined by Alexander Hamilton in the Federalist Papers. In 1970, then Representative Gerald R. Ford defined impeachable offenses as “whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history.” An excellent definition, Mr. Former President. In the past, Congress has issued Articles of Impeachment for acts in three general categories:
Exceeding the constitutional bounds of the powers of the office. (recess appointments, anyone?)
Behavior grossly incompatible with the proper function and purpose of the office.(uh, hiding the truth, nah!!)
Employing the power of the office for an improper purpose or for personal gain.(Er, lying to complete an election for the W? BUELLER!!!?)
Not to mention the betrayal of public trust….
BOOM!!
Our government was founded on the concept of “the consent of the governed”, I hereby resend my consent. You are all fired. Clean out your desks and be out of town by sundown. The constitution will prevail and we will do just fine. It’s time to start over. Politicians need to be reminded that political office is not a lifetime employment. The voters need the same reminder.
@11
They’ve forgotten a simple truth. I’ll defer to Ranger Up as they’re much better at illustrating it than I am.
