Humpday feel good story
WRCBtv.com | Chattanooga News, Weather
Let’s start Wednesday with a feel good story about Sue Johnson, a retired widow who opened her door to find 26-year-old Nathaniel Leatherwood, the man who had ransacked her home earlier standing there with a stick (WRBCTV);
“So I just pulled my gun out of my pocket and said I’m calling the sheriff’s office,” Johnson explains. “They’re going to come pick you up. I’m not going to let this happen to an old, retired lady who lives alone.”
Sheriff Keith Lovin arrived on scene, relieved Sue was not harmed.
“I hugged her neck and told her she’s my hero,” says Sheriff Lovin.
Just a few weeks earlier, the sheriff taught a gun safety course at Sue’s church.
He says all citizens should be prepared.
“A medical emergency or whether it’s a fire, whether it’s an intruder, whether it’s a natural disaster, I think sometimes citizens sometimes get complacent,” says Sheriff Lovin.
“Especially if you are a widow and live alone, you need to be taught to shoot and have something in your house to protect yourself,” says Johnson.
Apparently, young Leatherwood picked the wrong county to become a criminal in.

Yay, Sue!
I’ve heard of not bringing a knife to a gun fight, but this dude is so dumb he went one step DOWN. Seriously?! A STICK!?
And just wait: The liberal types will focus on how he came to her house to apologize and she shouldn’t have drawn a gun on him.
Awwwww, just warms the heart it does….
Some pols think its better to be a victim…

@5–of course liberals prefer their “subjects” to be victims, that way they can justify their “help” of the stupid sheep and existence at the public teat.
Nothing is more dangerous to the nanny state than a citizen who can think and act for his/her self.
Good thing she didn’t take Biden’s advice and empty her gun before letting the guy in.
Remember what I’ve told you guys about using household products as defensive weapons?
Well, here you are. Dunkin’ Donuts dolly defeats thief in Connecticut:

@5: Yeah, but it’s the republicans that are waging a war on “women”? The illogic and mythology on display by democrats is mind blowing. They are sticking with their made up “statistic” that people with firearms for protection are more likely to have it used against them is old and been soundly refuted many times, but that won’t stop the dumbasses from using it in hopes that the low information Obama fone types will believe it.
As I have told my daughters; if you want to get a firearm, by all means do so and get trained up. If you don’t want to get a firearm (my one daughter is anti-gun), then get industrial strength pepper spray and a self defense course.
OT, when I get finished with my current project, which you may find enjoyable, I will work on something that outlines the use of household products for self-defense under any and all circumstances.
EX-PH2,
I keep 8 oz cheap wood handled ball peen hammers in easy reach around the house…light weight, well balanced, and will bust an intruder’s noggin. In case the gun isn’t an option…the Hell’s Angels I believe love ball peens as preferred up close melee weapon. 😉
Devtun — For the same reason, I keep a cast iron skillet on the stovetop at all times. Not too heavy, but enough weight and mass to inflict serious damage on an intruder’s skull.
Would I have time to get it in the middle of the night? Yes, because the storm door is always locked and the cats freak out if anyone goes up my front steps at night, even if it’s just another cat. They make a lot of noise and wake me up.
Yeah Sue! Get Some!
