My personal pleasures are none of your business, DiFi

| February 26, 2013

In the Washington Times today, Cheryl Chumley reports that your personal pleasures (scary-looking black rifles) are a danger to our national security and you’re being selfish;

Assault weapons are “personal pleasure[s]” that should not take precedence over the good of the nation,” she said.

“We will make the case that these weapons do not belong on the streets of our cities,” she said, during an MSNBC appearance. “I recognize it’s an uphill battle. … [But] the mothers, the women, the men of American have to make a decision as to whether their personal pleasure is more important than the general welfare.”

Yeah, it is as a matter of fact, Dianne, you massive douche. In another interview that won’t get published with the Christian Science Monitor, I made the same point. When I hold my AR, it’s like a warm hug from an old friend. I told the person who was interviewing me that she probably didn’t understand why I smoke cigars either, but it’s a personal pleasure that I enjoy in good company. When I smoke a cigar, it reminds me of some of the best times in my life, and the same holds true for my AR.

That’s the problem with the Left – if they don’t understand something, it’s not important. Everyone has to be equally miserable. Something you and I enjoy has no value if they can’t “get it”.

“I intend to fight. I did it once before. If it doesn’t get done right now, be assured I will continue to press the case,” she said, in the context of speaking about gun-control proposals that ban assault weapons…

I’m sure gun dealers across the nation are applauding loudly.

Dear Diane,

We’re going to fight as well, sweetie. And we’re going to do everything humanly possible to make sure that not only will you lose but you’ll know that you lost.

ROS

She should have punctuated her statement with two shotgun blasts in the air so everyone would know she meant business.

Just Plain Jason

I think that they need to attach an amendment that will cut the Personal Security to zero for all politicians. You know if they are going to force us to put down our guns maybe they should do so first.

Jumpmaster!

This dingbat Feinstein incorrectly assumes that all black rifles are a threat to society. My AR is not “on the streets”, lives in a locked gun cabinet and is a threat to no one. Very few crimes are ever commited with AR-style rifles but facts mean nothing to a liberal with an agenda. Likewise, Feinstein’s little photo-op hissy fits mean nothing to criminals.

@3: And in addition, they are only allowed to live in SE D.C. with a landline so they can call 911.

PintoNag

I will NOT comply. And my resitance will NOT be futile.

What she is pushing for intentionally or not is for another revolution in this country. She and others like her have forgotten the lessons of 1775 and the War that followed. The people had been taxed far too much by an arrogant King and his Parliament, oblivious and uncaring of their ‘subjects” plight.
When it became more than they could bear and they began to act out, the King sent his men to take their weapons…
That did not end well for King George and it will not end well for the Imperial President either.

PintoNag

@7 I agree. The only problem with a revolution now is that the people who cause it can hop a plane and disappear whenever things get disagreeable, leaving us to clean up the mess. They have enough money and connections that no country will give them back to us to face the consequences of their actions.

Dear Diane,

Molon Labe, bitch.

MAJMike

Dianne, you ignorant slut,

The Second Amendment isn’t about my “personal pleasures”, its about the ability of a free people to resist an abusive government.

Would be interested in regulating your “personal pleasures”? Would you register your vibrator?

Didn’t think so.

Rob

I hate to repeat myself, but …

Diane,

‘Go fuck yourself with a cactus. You have no right to rule over anyone, you are an elected representative of the people – not a dictator who commands her subjects. You don’t know what is best for me, my family or any of the other 300 million people in this country.

‘Your entire argument assumes that it is just fine to treat all gun owners or potential gun owners as soon to be convicted criminals, just waiting for the right moment to murder dozens of people. Whatever happened to due process?

‘You’ve had this bill ready for over a year, just waiting for the right moment to shove it down our throats – using the graves of children to advance your adgena. This isn’t about the children or making America safer, it never was. This is about pushing your agenda – fulfilling your desire to control other people.

‘Your bill would never have prevented Newtown in the first place – no law can. Conn. had an ‘assault weapons ban’ in place, and yet, a person intent on killing did so. No law you can dream up can ever prevent a determined indiviual from breaking it. The ONLY thing a law does is provide a way to bring justice AFTER the crime has been committed.

‘I am tired of your authoritarian bullshit. The only goal you have is to control other people. You have no power over me, and I will not subject myself to your rule.’

Rob

MGySgtRet.

Very well said Rob. Thank you.

NHSparky

You’ve had this bill ready for over a year

Try about two DECADES:

“If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them . . . Mr. and Mrs. America, turn ’em all in, I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren’t here.” -Dianne Feinstein, CBS 60 Minutes, 2/5/1995

Then she followed up with this:

“And, I know the sense of helplessness that people feel. I know the urge to arm yourself because that’s what I did. I was trained in firearms. I’d walk to the hospital when my husband was sick. I carried a concealed weapon. I made the determination that if somebody was going to try to take me out, I was going to take them with me.” -Dianne Feinstein, 4/27/1995

Bit of a fucking hypocrite there, aintcha, Dianne?

Now go fetch your fucking shine box.

Rob

@NHSparky, I meant this specific version has been ready for over a year.

NHSparky

Maybe–I dare say she’s had something similar since the original AWB expired in 2004. We know she’s wanted to take ALL our guns away for close to to decades now, probably longer. Nevermind the fact that she’s perfectly fine with arming herself, just not letting the plebes arm themselves.

Again, memo to Congresscritters: you want to ban weapons? You first. Oh, and Congresswoman Shea-Porter? Get off your dead ass and answer my e-mail. I’ve been waiting over a month now.

Old Trooper

Someone here at my work said “you don’t need an “assault rifle” or 30 round magazine” and I responded “the last time I checked, it isn’t called the Bill of Needs”.

Spade

“We will make the case that these weapons do not belong on the streets of our cities”

Huh, wonder why it has a Law Enforcement exemption then.

PintoNag

Very nice, Old Trooper. Very nice.

Joe Williams

Only one “a action” than a day at the gun range. My semi-autos are not on the streets but in my gun safes.Lead by example not by ROYAL edict.I will now use my PSI to alot of new faces for those who vote for DiFi’s bill.

B Woodman

Who is this Cheryl Chumley? She sounds like she should be fish bait.
And as for personal pleasures, how’s about we sew up and superglue shut your t**ts. The both of you

NHSparky

Woodman–easy, hoss. Ms. Chumley is the Times reporter.

Common Sense

The middle 2/3rd of the country (excluding my beloved Colorado, which the left is in the process of destroying) needs to wall of the Left Coasts to keep the crazies out.

Our household has gained 5 new “personal pleasures” since the beginning of the new year, we’re building quite the collection between the 5 of us.

Funny, it was a hobby that I was never interested in before Obama and his cronies started trying to take away our 2nd Amendment rights, it was always something the boys did. Now that I’ve started, I find it quite fun, and it’s good knowing that I can defend myself if I need to.

Bruce

First let get one thing straight THEY ARE NOT ASSAULT
WEAPONS. An assault weapon is fully automatic, which
have been banned since the 1930s.
And it is not about gun control, its about people control.

FatCircles0311

I agree, black scary looking rifles are a national security threat but only in the hands of big government. Time to start living what you preach you Libtards. No more lavish protections with firearms inside the Washington D.C. security dome.

TopGoz

” [But] the mothers, the women, the men of American have to make a decision as to whether their personal pleasure is more important than the general welfare.” – Was she talking about Sandra Fluke?

Yat Yas 1833

Dear Pig Eyed Bitch,

Sit down and STFU! Let the people who haven’t had a lobotomy discuss important issues. Go play with your kick starter fitted dildo. Or even your pocket buddy with the 3 1/2 hp Briggs & Stratton engine.

Ex-PH2

My personal pleasures are cats, horses, dogs, good food, friends, hiking with my camera, good books, movies, peace and quiet.

What in the blue-eyed world does that have to do with the second amendment?

Perry

Now now lets not be so hasty give the guy a break he might have gotten the 4 combat jumps during WW2 with the 82nd Airborne in Sicily Salerno Holland and Normandy…”NOT”
