Schumer asks that gun sales cease for a bit

| January 14, 2013

Old Trooper send us a link to CBS News in which they report that Little Chuckie Schumer has asked that gun retailers stop selling guns while the the Senate debates gun control;

The New York Democrat says consumer demand for guns has gone up in the weeks since the December mass shooting in Newtown, Conn.

Schumer says Congress is debating the issue, and if measures get passed that limit these type of weapons, it won’t help if more of them have recently been sold.

Sorry, if we’re not being helpful, Chuck, m’boy, but that’s kind of the point. Besides, gun retailers can’t sell what they don’t have – as far as I can tell, shelves are bare at most places in the country. I know that the magazines I back ordered last month are not expected until April. So there ya go, you get your wish, but only because gun manufacturers can’t keep up with demand. Neither can magazine makers and ammo producers. I figured now would be the time to buy the bolt action rifle I’ve been wanting since they aren’t being considered for the ban. Everyone was sold out of those, those. Funny how that supply and demand thing works, isn’t it?

Chuck hasn’t had a headline in a couple of weeks, so he’s got to say something insanely stupid to put his name out there.

Way to go, Chuckie.

UpNorth

Two words, Fuck Chuck.

That spike in Internet traffic this morning is all of our leftist “brethren” Googling “supply and demand” to try and figure out what Jonn’s talking about. It’s a concept with which they’re generally unfamiliar.

At least I got my M1 carbine magazines as the panic started. Because before that I had none. Now I’ve just got 5.

My newer AR-15 magazines are also backordered until god knows when. Oddly enough, these are the first AR-15 magazines I’ve bought since the old ban ended. I bought all my 30s and 20s during the ban.

The utter lack of thing to panic buy has given me the chance to work on my No1Mk3 though.

More and more people will become uncooperative in Chuckies eyes as things go on here, and everytime he opens his pie hole one more person who was on the fence about purchasing a firearm will get in line to do so.

A buddy and I were out doing some recon on Saturday. We visited 4 places that sold firearms and one that sold just ammo. It doesn’t look good. In fact, it wasn’t like this in Winter 2008-2009, when Obumbles first became President. Amoo is non-existent in .223/5.56 and what you do find is 50% higher in price. .22 LR is even non-existent, or has over doubled in price ($34 per box of 500 and it’s the same price in Kentucky, per my cousin last night). In some shops, where there used to be rows of evil rifles in a variety of flavors, just a month ago, there is nothing. Where they used to have evil rifles behind the counter, there was just 2 and by the time we left that shop……1. Ammo is about the same way, unless you want hunting calibers like .243, .270, 7mm mag, etc. .308? Forget it. It’s even getting hard to find 7.62x54R!!

Chuck wants gun retailers to stop selling guns. People in hell want ice water too.

OWB

Is Chuckles the most arrogant guy in the US? Does he really think that his plea would influence anyone to submit to his will? Or is he simply adding his name to the chorus so that he can later claim to have had something to do with the sales slow down (the one due to lack of supply)? Or something equally delusional??

What an idiot. Unfortunately, a dangerous idiot, but an idiot none the less.

NHSparky

Uh, Chuckie? Give up your gun, permit, and armed bodyguards, then we might think about it.

MIGHT.

This pr1ck Schumer has an “unrestricted” permit to carry so he doesn’t much care if you don’t carry because he is able to arm and protect himself. Sen. Schumer has also been criticized by the GAO for Schumer’s abuse of the NYPD in providing personal security details for the good senator.

If these sons of b1tches actually believed the horsesh1t that they speak they would walk around unarmed with no escorts knowing the police would always be there to save them.

What all of these hypocritical b4stards are saying is simple, “I am special, you who are the great unwashed masses are not. All of you people exist to serve me, I was not elected to serve you, therefore the laws I write and attempt to pass will never be applied to me in the same measure (if at all) as they are to you.”

Maybe we, the lazy apathetic electorate, will finally wake the f#ck up and vote every single sh1tbag incumbent out. I’m not holding my breath. When you re-elect 9 out of 10 regularly while rating your approval of their work at 10% it’s hard to believe the “people” are serious about effecting any change whatsoever.

John

I would like to see government deficit spending cease for a bit… Hey, I can dream, too.

UpNorth

VOV, on the other hand, maybe it says something about the “quality” of the people who run against the incumbents.
As for the first part of your post, that’s exactly the mindset of people like UpChuck Schumer. Good for me, but not for thee.

USMCE8Ret

Ditto what UpNorth said in #2.

Old Trooper

It appears that Schumer isn’t the only one going full retard this fine Monday morning. O’Malley wants all gun buyers fingerprinted in Maryland. Rahmbo is heading to DC to lobby for more gun control (even though his current strict gun control works so well in Chicago. btw, they are at 22 gun deaths in Chi-town for the year, already) and he’s telling Chicago residents that they are to report all private gun sales or go to jail. Jesse “the race baiter” Jackson is blaming gun manufaturers. Yep, they are really not letting a crisis go to waste.

USMCSgt

Eat a fat one. schmuckie.

What is the description of a nation and country whose government is always forcing it’s beliefs, ideology and laws on the people who do not want them?

Gun control will be the democrats political Vietnam, the harsher the laws the more repressive the police and ruling elite class of liberals and the more jobs flushed down the drain for utterly stupid reasons, higher taxes and the taking of private property the more the hate from the masses will leak through and the even more harsh laws and repression will follow until we will have a Libya event, aka Dictators on a stick. Guns are the one agenda the democrats must pursue and guns are what’s going to hang them.
From bridges, front porches and highway overpasses, rope, gun grabbers, tree limb, some assembly required.

bman

Capitalism may make Chucks request a reality. There aren’t any guns in the stores and the pipeline is empty.

GruntSgt

One wonders if his parents had any kids that lived…that or they took one look when he was born and tossed him and raised the afterbirth. Meanwhile back in San Francisco, I guess they had a big gunshow there over the weekend and the report I watched the folks exiting were complaining of of lack of ammo and guns being sold out and the hugh crowd. So I’m guessing not everyone in Sodom by the Sea is a tool.

NHSparky

Again, I’m waiting for my e-mail to my “new” (retread) Dim Congresscritter Carol Shea-Porter (aka Che-Pelosi) to be answered.

I promise I’ll make a post of it with her response. This oughta be AWESOME.

NHSparky

Grunt–you should have seen the lines for the gun show in Manchester (NH) over the weekend.

Old 21B

I went to an annual local gun show, in South Dakota, this weekend. It was busy but not too bad. I asked a couple of the vendors if sales had been up. Some said they were actually down a little. This gun show is part of a series of annual gun shows held througout the region. That evening I caught a story by the local news about the gun show. Funny they never covered it in previous years. The lead in tried to tie the gun show to Sandy Hook and the news anchor was going on about record sales. I suppose some vendors had excellent sales, I do know prices were up. I saw some 30 round AR mags marked at $100 each. Local gun stores are really low on stock and one gun store owner made the comment that at first he thought the ammo and gun manufactures had halted production to drive up prices but he has since learned that they have doubled shifts and are still falling further behind on their back orders.

The Other Whitey

Hey Chuck-schmuck, there was a house fire last night. So while we work on a nationwide solution, please refrain from cooking food or heating your house.

Somebody drowned last week. I propose everybody stop drinking water while Congress debates restrictions on cups.

There was a car wreck this morning. In light of this, everyone should please walk to work, school, and whatnot. Yes I know most Americans have to commute 20-50 miles and aren’t served by public transportation, but it will make Congress’ job easier.

That is what you sound like, Chuck-fuck.
To quote a movie,”Can you believe that retard is actually in charge of people?”

bartdp

I knew there was a reason I’ve been saving my brass for the last 10 years……time to start reloading before they stop that.

PFDRbrendan

@ #4 Spade,
When I bought my M-1 Carbine at a gun show last year, the first things I bought were a spare magazine and about 500 rounds of ammo. Now I wish I had bought a few more of the mags but I guess hindsight is 20/20.

FatCircles0311

Clear warning sign of a dictator. This should be a warning to all citizens regarding Schumer and his aspirations of power.

ron

has anyone checked to see if this knucklehead has his address posted on the journal news list of gun permit owners? that might be a great place to hold a demonstration—right in front of his house. and while we’re on the subject of who needs what, why do so many of the elite NEED very large homes, big garages, king size beds, swimming pools, extra large TV sets, three different walk in closets full of various wardrobes? etc, etc, etc…you get the picture. why, they could sell all that stuff, which I HAVE DECIDED they don’t really need, and give it all to homeless people. new york probably has a few homeless people who wouldn’t mind a few extra wardrobe items, right?

Devtun

Terry McAuliffe Former Clinton waterboy and Dem Gubernatorial candidate for Virginia got his…Beretta over and under from Dick’s Sporting Goods. What? No outrage from lefty press?

2/17 Air Cav

Sure, Chuckie Schmuckie. They’ll just close their doors and lay off their employees. The utilities, banks, and food stores will understand. Instead of payments, the owners will just send a note saying, “Chuck asked me to close so I can’t pay you.” Knucklehead.

jonp

It’s been said that the most dangerous place in America is between Chuck and a camera. Can someone here comment on any recent news on the the persistent story that Chuckie has a ccw? Dianne Feinstein has already been outed as a massive hypocrite for carrying while trying to keep us little people from protecting ourselves.

cannoncocker

Off topic, but I wonders quietly to me self where our ol’ pal Joey is? I miss feeling 10x smarter by comparison from reading his drivel….

B Woodman

It would be interesting to do a DNA comparison between Smuckie Chuckie, and Crazy Uncle Joe Biden, to see if they’re related, and on which side, mother, father, failed clone experiment, or alien hybrid.

ron

@32—you forgot to mention way too much brother/sister/cousin marriages going on here
