Christmas in Kabul

| December 18, 2012

The folks at 3rd Sustainment Command send us news that they’ve been visited by a VIP already;

Christmas in Kabul

A group of Soldiers, from the 3d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) based out of Fort Knox, KY, gather around the “Combat Santa” to tell him their Christmas wishes at the New Kabul Compound Dec 12, 2012. The Soldiers were sent to NKC in preparation for a relief in place. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Candice L. Funchess)

Not to knock the Guard/Reserve ESC headquarters elements, but I’m glad to see the ESC HQ is an active duty unit now

Well at least they got to play war once. Merry Christmas POGS.

Ex-PH2

Since they are separated from their families and friends, I can only wish them a very Merry Christmas.

Agreed. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all deployed.

And as the late Michael Conrad (as Sgt. Phil Esterhaus) used to day: “Be careful out there.”

Santa better keep his hands in sight. Merry Christmas troops everywhere…thanks for being there for us.

Virtual Insanity

Friend’s daughter is in that unit. Merry Christmas, all, and stay safe.

@2: As long as they’re doing their jobs and not shaming in their PTs at the MWR or Green Beans, I’m glad they are there. I’ll admit I thought the same thing 2 years ago on Xmas, but I guess I’ve softened a bit in transition.
