White House sends 160 national security advisors packing

| January 23, 2025 | 13 Comments

Mike Waltz, Donald’ Trump’s national security advisor, sent approximately 160 National Security Council aids back to their home organizations. This is a part of an effort to ensure that those who remain are supportive of the organizational objectives, as set by Donald Trump. Some of these individuals had their White House email accounts shut down the day they received notification that their services will no longer be needed.

From AP News:

President Donald Trump’s national security adviser has sidelined about 160 National Security Council aides, sending them home while the administration reviews staffing and tries to align it with Trump’s agenda, administration officials told The Associated Press.

The career government employees, commonly referred to as detailees, were summoned Wednesday for an all-staff call and told they will be expected to be available to the council’s senior directors but would not need to report to the White House. The council provides national security and foreign policy advice to the president.

Trump, a Republican, is sidelining these nonpolitical subject matter experts on topics that range from counterterrorism to global climate policy at a time when the United States is dealing with a disparate set of complicated foreign policy matters, including conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. Such structuring could make new policy experts brought in to the NSC less likely to speak up about policy differences and concerns.

I hope the toilet doesn’t get clogged up. Plenty more that need to be flushed and we may need to call the Roto-Rooter doods out the clean the sewer lines. Sadly, no matter how many are sent packing, there are plenty more that will fly under the radar and remain to do their nefarious activities.

I don’t want to see these people just fired or re-assigned. I want to see perp walks, trials, convictions, and true punishment.

Oh noe, I hope they don’t quit out of frustration. Please don’t quit Brer Security Advisory. Please stay here and keep making plans to invade other countries and to make a floating bridge to Gaza. Defense Company CEOs need money too.

Lucky we didn’t have the former 1000 4th Reich Dictator Herr Biden and his ass-Hole minions running the country during WW2.

I love that picture! Clear off the desk and let’s go to work!

Army-Air Force Guy

DJT was too nice during his first administration. He underestimated the deep state and thought those still hanging around from Obama would support his administration. No more Mr. Nice Guy, and I’m happy for it.

He was, and still is, an outsider. He had no experience, and was unprepared to cope with the outright hostility and sabotage he encountered. It is pretty obvious that he has not wasted the last 4 years; he has learned and prepared, as evidenced by the flurry of actions in the first week of his Presidency. I have supported Trump mostly because he was an outsider; I still cannot listen to him for more than 90 seconds. I must say, though, that I am favorably impressed so far, though I still cannot listen to him for more than 90 seconds.

The career government employees,….”
And THERE’s the problem right there.

“these nonpolitical subject matter experts”

Given what these “experts” have brought about in my lifetime I think we can manage adequately without them.
