Hasan’s victims speak out

| October 18, 2012

About 160 victims and family members are speaking out about this administration’s classification of the murder of unarmed members of the military at Fort Hood on November 5th, 2009 as workplace violence. Their first action is the release of this 14 minute video of their testimony about Hasan’s actions that day;

From Stars & Stripes;

They point out that the accused shooter, Maj. Nidal Hasan, consulted by email with top al-Qaida leader Anwar al-Awlaki about whether an attack against American soldiers was justified to “protect our brothers.” Until his death in an airstrike in 2011, Yemen-based Awlaki was considered one of the United States’ top enemies.

The shooting for Hasan “was his jihad,” Staff Sgt. Alonzo Lunsford, who was shot five times that day, said in the video.

Another victim, Shawn Manning, said that the soldiers at the readiness center “were killed and wounded by a domestic enemy, someone who was there that day to kill soldiers to prevent them from deploying. If that’s not an act of war or an act of terrorism I don’t know what is.”

End workplace violence now!!

Tman

This is another one Romney missed out on hitting barack with.

I can understand wanting to make sure that nothing stands in the way of getting this less than senseless THING Hasan off the face of the earth, but how much must his victims and their families endure before that happens?

Move along no terrorism to see here move along. Allahu Akbar is not a terrorist saying, it is all the rage. Anyone who is hip just shouts it out whenever they want.

You know, applying obama’s standard yields rather odd results. What is the workplace of the soldier, Marine, or sailor deployed to a combat zone? Right. And if that soldier, Marine, or sailor is injured by hostile fire while in that combat zone? Right again. It is, necessarily, workplace violence!

The current administration is determined not to use the word TERROR what ever the incident, just look at how long it took them to “Fess-up” over the Terrorist assault on the Consulate in Bengazi.

Obama was on Jon Stewart Daily Show tonight and called the death of 4 Americans at Benghazi as “not optimal” – this is generating fierce criticism. BO is probably praying to have only one term – seriously he looks tired, dazed and confused.

Ex-PH2

Gee, I miss so much not having a working TV. NOT.

Since I’ve already made up my mind about this, I’d rather be stepped on by a rhino than listen to any more blithering from that corner.

But, Devtun, thank you for the update.

And I have a prediction about the election, but I won’t post it anywhere until election night.

SFC Holland

I predict that whoever wins I will still wake up in Afghanistan.

If its Romney, hopefully he doesn’t renew GEN Martin Dempsey’s chairmanship – the weasel needs to be let go. I’m pretty sure SECDEF Leon “I gotta fly home to Cally on weekends” Panetta won’t be sticking around.

Looks like Obama has nominated Marine Corps Assistant Commandant Gen Joseph Dunford to replace Gen John Allen as ISAF commander. Gen Allen will be moving on up – he has been nominated for SACEUR.

@7. After reading your “not optimal” quote, I googling those words and read that and the many odd comments obama made on the Stewart show. I am paralyzed by the utter incomepence and stupidity of the obama. The statements he made are immediately eligible for the Moron Hall of Infamy and many of them rate a separate thread on TAH. I suspect that obama is imploding. He is in la-la land. His idea of addressing the American people is to appear on Stewart, Letterman, and The View. This is all too bizarre.

I caught this on the NPR on the way home yesterday, that the military court said that Hasan could be forceably shaved if necessary to start/continue his trial.
I hope I didn’t startle too many nearby drivers with my war whoop of joy.

Comrades in Arms:

Regarding this subject, I’ve written numerous letters to editors, letters to the Army, plus letters to elected representatives and/or appointed bureaucrats, all in a futile effort to have the military casualties awarded the Purple Heart Medal and/or the appropriate combat badge, to have civilian casualties awarded the Defense of Freedom Medal (the civilian equivalent of the Purple Heart Medal), and to have all Fort Hood military personnel awarded Hostile Fire Pay for that month.

But, my correspondance never resulted in any response or acknowledgement.

Thank you.

Twist

You know Mr. Mallernee I never even thought of that. Thank you.

Mr. Blue

Obama is just another actor. He’s great at reading stuff other people have written. But, when he’s coming up with stuff on his own, he’s an idiot.

Common Sense

Andy Long who was murdered by an American who converted to Islam and terrorism never received a Purple Heart either. Obama refused to callvit a terrorist attack. Even the gunman’s father is outraged
