Maryland gun plot foiled

| July 27, 2012

Prince George’s County, Maryland police have seized a man and his guns after he threatened his employer, Pitney Bowes that “I am the real Joker, and I’m going to blow everyone up”. According to the Crofton Patch the police took Neil Edwin Prescott’s 25 guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition after they verified with their records that he was indeed a gun owner.

When they got to his home, according to officials, the suspect was wearing a “Guns Don’t Kill People, I Do” T-shirt. Police decided to get an emergency petition from a judge to detain the suspect.

The man was taken into custody without incident at 3:20 a.m. Friday on Parkridge Circle in Crofton, according to Chief James Teare of the Anne Arundel County Police Department. He was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for examination.

NBC News reports that the feds got involved, too;

A police database showed that Prescott had 13 guns registered in his name. Officers from the Anne Arundel County police, the Prince George’s County police and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives obtained a warrant and searched his home in Crofton, about 25 miles from Washington, on Thursday night.

I’d be interested to see exactly what they charge him with, especially if all the weapons he owns are legal. This is probably more of a better safe than sorry approach. In light of recent events, I can’t say I blame the police.

However, can’t this lame ass come up with an original plot? This one was done a week ago

ohio

Glad I live in a state where state law strictly prohibits the registration of firearms by the state or any political sub divsion.

settles

Really? You can’t blame them for raiding his house based on something someone alleged him of saying? A tragedy never excuses a violation of your rights. EVER.

Blame them? The guy made death threats, which is illegal. I don’t blame them the police at all; I’m glad they did their job.

Ben

How dare they harass a gun owning citizen? If only Trayvon had been carrying, he might be alive today. If one of the Aurora moviegoers had a gun, more deaths could have been prevented. There have to be some more victims I can blame.

Trayvon is a fucking victim? Are you fucking kidding me?

Ben do you ever read facts? Or do you just shove your head up your ass when facts come out and then remove said head and start talking shit after the facts end?

Lowglow

Not to sound paranoid, but I’m not even sure I believe this story because LE seems to blow things out of proportion most of the time.

Ben

Um, Trayvon was a shooting victim, and the cause of death is listed as homicide. Had Trayvon been carrying a gun, he could be alive today. However, had he pulled the gun and shot Zimmerman in self defense, he would be the one facing charges whether Zimmerman lived or died.

Trayvon was not the damn victim. A victim is someone that is innocent, and undeserving of the action taken against them. Trayvon on the other hand was seen by an eyewitness on top of Zimmerman punching him, and we know from the FACTS that he also was slamming Zimmerman’s head into the ground. Zimmerman feared for his life, pulled his gun, and shot the motherfucker. EVERY FACT, and I repeat EVERY FACT shows that Zimmerman was defending himself. Even “DEEDEE” states that Trayvon said he was at his “Dad’s house” before the incident, so obviously Zimmerman didn’t chase him down. Have you even watched the video where he was telling the cops, longgggggggggggggggg before anyone got involved, his version of the defense? Or looked at the shape of the land? Ie plenty of hedges to hide behind next to the Town Homes backdoor, and where Zimmerman walked to is in plain view of his truck. Also that theater was a no carry zone, so NO ONE can be blamed for being a VICTIM. BTW have you read what Holmes is now fucking claiming???? The Aurora shooting was a tragedy perpetrated by someone with obvious mental problems, and Holmes deserves to be put to death. The theater enforcing a no carry zone needs to change their stupid policy. It’s sad that anyone died this way, and they are TRUELY victims. Having said that, no one could have prevented this no matter what the law is. Simply because common sense dictates that this mother fucker violated all sorts of law in every action(ie his apartment) associated with this tragic event. Instead of pointless gun restrictions, why not make CHL training cheap and then require more of it? After all even SCOTUS has declared that the Police have no duty to protect you. Having ruled that way, and with our Constitution being what it is, you obviously are expected to defend yourself. In conclusion, the Zimmerman case is exactly why we have the SYG law and if it wasn’t for media involvement this case would have been a no-go. The only law that… Read more »

To add to it, I fully understand the SYG is a state law. I live in Texas, we have it.

To clarify my previous post, I fully understand the SYG is a state law. I live in Texas, we have it.

Trayvon is a victim… a victim of his own stupidity. Were it not for the fact that Zimmerman was white (even though he isn’t), this would be a thug who got burned down while thugging. Trayvon innocent? Yeah, as innocent as Sandusky!

As for this new Batman villain, let’s call him pizzaface, what a joke. Yeah, he made threats, that is not a joke. Yeah, he legally collected weapons, that is not a joke. The joke comes from the fact that he is claiming a fantasy life in which he thinks he is important anywhere but on the internet.

One of my sergeants has a similar t-shirt to this enemy-pump. That doesn’t make my sergeant any more dangerous than anyone else who wears a t-shirt. I have a t-shirt that my wife bought me claiming that I am a Jedi… that don’t mean I swing lightsabers.

Personally, I think Mr. Potatohead up there should have stepped away from his World of Warcraft, put down the twinkies, and taken a walk to the nearest gym. But instead, he decided that since his real-life friends didn’t like him he would try and treat them like his internet friends.

Oops, someone should have sent him an email dealing with the law.

@ #11- Texas law is known as “Castle Law” not as you refer to it, “SYG”. http://www.rc123.com/texas_castle_doctrine.html
Just saying….

CI Roller Dude

It’s goof balls like this that shouldn’t be allowed to own guns. A responsible person who owns guns, should treat them with respect and not use them to make threats becuse they got fired from the clown factory or wherever this idiot was working.
