Love or hate Tebow, you have to love this
ROS sent us a link to a Fox Sports report about Denver Bronco’s quarterback Tim Tebow who went to Tampa to attend a fundraiser for quadriplegic US Army Ranger Romy Camargo;
The Mile High hero had read about what Camargo endured and wanted to meet the wounded soldier.
“He’s a real, true-life hero,” Tebow said. “So it’s very special to have the chance to hang out with him.”
[…]
“For me, it’s so humbling, to see kids and they’re like, ‘You’re my hero.’ I do nothing special, athletes do nothing special. We play a silly game,” Tebow said. “But here’s someone who put his life on the line for our country — that’s a real hero.”
[…]
“That was awesome,” the veteran said. “I couldn’t believe it. I was like, ‘Wow!’ … I’m glad Gabby [Camargo’s wife] got to meet him, because she’s a big fan.”
“It’s my pleasure man,” Tebow said as he clasped Camargo’s left hand, adding, “[Camargo has] been an inspiration to a lot of people, and he’ll continue to be an inspiration to me and so many more, so it’s real exciting to get a chance to meet him.”
So, wherever you fall in the Tebow love/hate spectrum, you have to love this story about him. Well, you don’t have to, but you should.

More! More!
And where are the obama’s lapdogs? Barking after Rush!
I never was a Broncos fan because of my Seahawks used to be a rival team. That said, I have become a Tim Tebow fan because I think he has guts and class! I don’t give a rip about the experts and how they complain about his football skills. I like him because he stands for what he believes in. I am not a real religous person but I respect him for being true to his beliefs.
His detractors will just say he’s doing this for selfish reasons and to get attention or some such bullshit.
No on deny that Tebow walks the walk.
That kid has his priorities straight, and no matter where he goes in Football or Life, he’ll do well.
Tim Tebow. What’s NOT to love? He’s a patriot. Oh wait…
Not the greatest quarterback, but one hell of a person who appreciates those who give.
Would that there were more like him.
Regardless of your personal beliefs, Tebow is true to himself. Ya gotta respect that.
He is the real deal, he is not on a team I follow but I respect his values.
Go Tebow…you won’t see guys like Vick doing stuff like this. And for the record, civilian journatards bungled it again.
Camargo was a CWO with 7th Group (SF), not a “Ranger”.
I’ve always found Tebow obnoxious, but he always acts with integrity unlike the remaining 95% of the NFL.
Hate the Donkeys, and Tebow will never be a serviceable QB in the NFL. But that doesn’t matter because he has the integrity and humility that money can’t buy and stardom can’t bestow upon you.
I like to think of Tebow as an exemplary human being, not an exemplary football player. That said, I will admit that I still giggle a bit at his tears resulting from his loss to ‘bama, but that’s because I loathe Florida. He has heart, which can’t be said for most players.
I heard someone say before the Broncos v. patriots games, Brady is the guy every teenage boy hopes to be, Teebow is the man every teenage boy’s mom hopes he will be. As for me, I have a nephew who idolizes NFL quarterbacks; I am going for one of the Manning brothers (they have better mechanics), but I could live with Teebow.
