That didn’t take long

| August 18, 2008

Richard Nixon was a shifty-eyed crook, Ronald Reagan was a doddering old fool, George HW Bush was a wimp, George W Bush is an idiot. And now John McCain is a cheater. Last night I first read on Ace of Spades that Andrea Mitchell-Greenspan was accusing John McCain of cheating in the Saddleback non-debate. From Michelle Malkin;

NBC’s Andrea Mitchell spread the unsubstantiated rumor that somehow McCain heard Obama’s questions while on his drive. The nutroots went, well, nuts. The NYTimes piled on (“Despite Assurances, McCain Wasn’t In a ‘Cone of Silence’“). The McCain camp has protested.

And now we have the spectacle of the Democrat presidential nominee and his press entourage bleating about the “cone of silence” because he didn’t fare as well as his opponent.

Gateway Pundit writes;

Well, at least they admitted that McCain was sensational last night.

UPDATE: Paster Warren to nutroots: “McCain did not violate ‘cone of silence.'”

 CNN reports that the Obama campaign is being very magnanimous about it all;

For their part, an Obama spokesperson told CNN’s Mike Roselli they are not pursuing whether McCain heard any of the other questions. They say they assuming McCain had the same information they did.

I guess they figured they’ve already used up all of their pre-convention whiner points. But that won’t stop the morons in the nutroot community from forcing us to listen to their idiocy for the next four years of a McCain presidency.  We’ve had to listen to them blather on about President Bush’s addictions even though he’s never shown a tendency towards cocaine use or alcoholism…and we never hear anything about Obama’s own admitted cocaine abuse.

If McCain or Bush had performed as Obama did Saturday night, we’d never hear the end of it from the Left, but somehow because McCain did well, he must’ve cheated. A quick trip to the DU forums and we discover that somehow the FReepers are involved, too;

48. Please, McCain knew all the questions before that.
Do you seriously think some Freeper wouldn’t slip them to him long before?
C’mon. This is national politics we’re talking about.

Michelle Malkin reminds us of past empty charges;

Oh, and I think we know where the Left is headed again. Remember “Is Bush Wired?”

Well, DUers remember, too;

84. Listening to all of the questions via earphones, along with an
army of transcribers with answers at the ready.
Good grief, even the church lies.

And allowing Obama to go on television without his handlers managing every movement, every audience member is now called “setting a trap”;

Middle finga
12. Let’s face it The repubs set a trap and Obama walked right into it
who is this Rick Warren character anyway? As far as we know he could         have slipped McCain the questions days in advance.

Sorry, Democrats, you were so enamored  with the prospect of a Black president, you didn’t take the time to find a suitable candidate. Hillary warned you and you didn’t listen. You’ve cried “racism!” so many times it rings hollow in tin ears. Your candidate is a blathering moron and the more you leap to his defense with your own silly blather, the sillier you look.

Just Words?

Hearing what Obama said, convinces me to vote McCain.

Hearing what McCain said, convinces me to vote McCain.

Hearing Obama say McCain cheated, convinces me to vote McCain.

Hearing “MSM NOT SAY” McCain won, convinces me to vote McCain.

Yeah, “Just Words” Barry, you recall how important they are right?

I wish I knew who said this. It was sent to me by someone who copied it from an un=named source.

“I wonder if the OB1 camp has figured out that they are, in essence, admitting that McCain mopped the floor with their Save-Yer at the Saddleback Telefloorum. Anytime one screams “cheated”, that means that somebody won and it wasn’t you! Accusations are the sincerest form of flattery.”

Maggie

It’s called projection. I hear what the Obama camp is saying.

“I would have cheated given the opportunity….so you must have as well.”
