Whittenberg’s AAR of the protest last Friday

| August 2, 2010

In case you were wondering how well the participants thought the protest went outside of Fort Hood last week, Bobby Whittenberg, the head pirate of the new revolution, says it went well;

Whittenberg sounds a little disappointed that no counter protesters showed up, but I’m sure everyone else had better things to do on a Friday afternoon than hang out with pirate-wannabes in the Central Texas heat.

I’m sure getting a thumbs-up from Carl Webb was worth the whole thing for them. Oh, and why wasn’t Webb there? No one to lend him a bicycle? Couldn’t get off someone else’s couch soon enough? He wasn’t working for the Man, was he?

Yep, speaking truth to power, that’s what it was. That’s what we expect from buccaneers like Bobby and his parrot, Mike Kern. This is how I envision Kern and Whittenberg’s relationship.

Welcome to the new revolution – same as the old revolution.

Geez, I can’t believe no one stopped to offer a rebuttal to such salient points as “3rd Armored CrimANAL Regiment.” I mean, that’s the kind of profound assessment of foreign policy and military strategy that can usually only be found on a port-a-shitter wall.

It’s almost like no one gives a shit what a fringe group of self-isolated jackasses do to occupy their time.

I’m still waiting to see what new and exciting things Bobby is planning to get his “radical veteran movement” off the ground. So far… nothing.

“It’s almost like no one gives a shit what a fringe group of self-isolated jackasses do to occupy their time”. Next time post an alert, Scott. I inhaled a good bit of coffee, but managed to not spew on the keyboard.

Is the pirate talking about me? I didn’t brag about calling the MPs in that posting.

Matt

During my last tour at Hood, there was a standing policy to not confront the protesters. Did not want to give them any publicity. Best to just ignore them.

Casey J Porter

Ahoy you war mongers! Argh, me and my crew of swashbuckling Pirates are out to cure the World of ever wrong through radical action! Our next protest will be against Disney for stereotyping our kind in the Pirates of The Caribbean movies! They mocked different cultures and made light of alcoholism, ARGH!

Solidarity mattes!

The Pirates of PissAnts…

PintoNag

Nice, Old Tanker. Very nice.

Tank…
That one made me spew…

Let’s do a real AAR,

How many wounded warriors were still deployed?

Did 3rd ACR still deploy?

Did anything change at all?

While I feel that they have a constitutional right to stand on the corner and carry any sign that they please, they probably would have accomplished more with a 1 on 1 meeting with the leadership to assist in specific cases brought to their attention or just gone back to the UTH and smoked a bong.

Oh well I guess I just don’t understand this revolution stuff.

J

Daniel, don’t you understand they might have to shower and shave (i imagine they got the sign ideads during the shit) to get a meeting or be taken seriously. It is much easier to stage an ineffecutual protest. It only increases your “radical veteran” street cred to not actually get anything done. no one wants to be a sellout and actually keep any wounded vets at home. bobby ” al need a washa” needs something to complain about.

Casey J Porter

Daniel, if you sit down with the brass, look professional, and make a solid case, you’re a sell out.

These fuckers don’t actually care about the wounded, it’s all about making themselves feel better about being the loosers that they are.

FISTS IN THE AIR!

Army Sergeant

I’ll just point out you’re tagging this IVAW, but it’s made up of people that left IVAW because we were ‘too conservative’. Just noting.

Casey J Porter

I know of at least one IVAW member that was out there. You know, that rapist fella. That one who lied about being deployed to Afghanistan. Damn it, what’s his name? You, that one guy…

Scott

I think she was talking about the post; no current IVAW members in this one.

Bubblehead Ray

It’s almost like no one gives a shit what a fringe group of self-isolated jackasses do to occupy their time.

BINGO!!! Scott, you absolutely nailed it. LMAO

Casey J Porter

I get it. While he is not mentioned in this post he was there.

Army Sergeant

Yeah, what Scott said.

Protest? More like minor (and obviously ignorable) annoyance on a street corner. (Now, if they’d had hotter girls and were more of nuisance… )

Old Trooper

AS; are you still trying to pull the veil of legitimacy over the IVAW? Will you ever acknowledge the fact that they have no interest in helping Veterans as an organization? There may be a small number of individuals that want to, however, the actions of the whole provide nothing to help Veterans. Their only interest is to be rabble rousers and that’s how they are viewed by a vast majority of the public. Whether there are isolated incidents of assistance to 1 or 2 Veterans, the vast majority of time and resources are spent in a giant circle jerk.

Find a real VSO to work with and do the rabble rousing on a part time basis with IVAW.
