David Hogg leverages DNC contact list to solicit money for his own PAC
David Hogg didn’t take long to use his position, as DNC vice chair, to obtain money for his political action committee (PAC). This PAC, “Leaders We Deserve”, gives him $100,000 a year. Some DNC brass are not happy with Hogg’s action. They argue that DNC officials should be raising money for the DNC. The New York Posted contacted Hogg for a comment. Hogg hung up after telling them that he does not do interviews.

Barely two weeks into his tenure, Hogg has been leveraging DNC contact lists to blast out messages soliciting donations to his own political action committee — from which he draws more than $100,000 in compensation a year, according to Federal Election Commission records.
“David Hogg here: I was just elected DNC Vice Chair! This is a huge win for our movement to make the Democratic Party more reflective of our base: youthful, energetic, and ready to win,” reads one of eight texts he sent out to the DNC’s vast database of phone numbers.
Solicitation texts include a link to Hogg’s “Leaders We Deserve” PAC.
“David Hogg — talk about living up to your name. A trough of DNC dollars all for him and he doesn’t seem to give an oink,” a top Democrat grumbled to The Post.
Hogg co-founded “Leaders We Deserve” in August 2023 with the stated goal of electing young progressives to Congress and state legislatures across the country. It also provided him a six-figure income job right out of college.
Since the PAC was founded, Hogg has pocketed more than $175,000, records show, with more than $20,000 in salary payments coming in December alone, the most recent month for which public data is available.
While it’s not officially against the rules, personal PAC fundraising — instead of fundraising for the DNC — has rubbed some party brass the wrong way.
“It’s especially important for all Democratic national officials to focus on raising support for the party and not using their position to raise money for themselves or their personal political PACS,” groused a second senior Democratic Party official. “It’s a stunning lack of judgment that is concerning to many people.”
The 24-year-old came to public prominence as a survivor of the February 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, which left 17 people dead.

David Hogg is referred to as a survivor of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, even though he was not at the location when the event. Hack Stone was active duty assigned to the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, although his shift did not start until 13:00, so he wasn’t there when the plane hit. Hack Stone does not allow people to refer to him as 9/11 survivor, but then, Hack Stone is not an attention whore like David Hogg.
Hack we are all 9/11 survivors. If you were born before 10am that day and didn’t die you definitely survived it.
We were supposed to drop off foreign currency at tower one for the Bank of America but another crew delivered it when the plane hit. We lost Joey Trombino who stayed in the truck in the parking garage and wouldn’t leave the truck when dispatch told him to. a few monthes later, he was found in a stairell with other deceased persons.

I worked in NYC 89-95, and I had some clients down on North End Ave at the edge of the World Financial District. I spent plenty of time down there by the 2 towers, but never really paid them any attention. I have the feeling some of the people I’d see on the street didn’t make it home that day. I did speak to an old colleague years later that was in the South Tower (hit second) on 9/11. When the plane hit the North Tower, she decided to go home. Lots of people stayed including people on higher floors that were told to go back to their offices because they didn’t want people flooding the plaza and interfering with the rescue equipment. You know some of those poor souls perished. She was well below the impacted floors and was way uptown when her tower was hit. I watched it TV in Tampa nit believing what I was seeing.
